Hi Jeff

Really enjoy your stream. Just wondering what your biggest "aha" moments were that transformed your game and significantly increased your win rate in the new era of poker
I really appreciate your support! what is your name on twitch?

One of the biggest aha moments I had was to play less tables online at a time and focus more, also to be present & off my phone as much as possible when playing live + get to a tournament as early as possible!

My twitch name is pleasefold99. I've supported you a couple times on stake kings, it's a fun sweat. I appreciate the comments and those are prob the 2 biggest problems I have too. Those and 1 of the 4 kids needing me while im playing. Best of luck sir!!!

What are the best way to play pocket A's?
I like the question but really need an example! This would depend on many things; is it a tournament or cash game? what position are you in? what are the other stacks? what phase of tournament is it? If you send a hand history can give you a more detailed answer!

Hiya Jeff! Do you play online very much? If so ring games or MTT’s? What lvl do you play on each? What are the buy-ins of your favorite online MTT’s?

Where to start?

Hey jeff! Really big fan. I live in Michigan. All the poker sites I would like to be a part of and make my mark, dont allow residents to gamble on most these sites. Im on CLUBWTP (screenname) Mickathyus. But i feel really limited. Especially with covid. :( i guess my question is where or what would be a good start. I have the knowledge and skill, my game has improved immensely the last two yaers.

Hey! Very nice, I love Michigan! Yes it is frustrating but I know partypoker & pokerstars will be coming soon which is great! Michigan passed & is legalized now so hang on tight. In the meantime there are some okay options from what I hear, ACR, global poker, ignition to name a few. Of course be careful not to keep to much money on there, they are unregulated but I don't know of anyone having issues on there. Best of luck! I'll be looking out for you.

Tournaments & cash games are two very different animals! It sounds like you have some natural instincts in tournaments. Without any more info I would think you are aggressive which can bode well for tournaments in the right spots, but maybe getting you into trouble in the cash games!

Favourite pre flop non pocket hand ? Worst bad beat you’ve suffered online ? And would a wsop bracelet or the $ be more appealing to you if you were already loaded?

I also discover that there is difference between "freerolls," SNG, and the "real tourneys". I also struggled in cash games vs tournaments. I found my "niche" in SNG, and whatever money I win over the week, I take half and treat myself to a nice tourney, or two smaller ones with 2-3 rebuys. Sometimes I splurge myself in cash games. Find what you "like" and have success, and make it as your "base" - your specialty, before moving to other areas. Although all poker games have the same cards, how you play them is different based on what game you are playing. Try to reflect after your games on your "thinking" after different games structure - write down your emotions - happy, sad, optimistic, defensive, aggressive, intuitive, etc.. See if there is a pattern and why? What are your goals for the session, maybe they play a subconscious mindset of how you play, OR, they way you play doesn't fit other games structures.
Good luck, and when in doubt - All In!!! (LOL)

Hello! I like your overall message; tournaments have a lot more variance. I think it is good to be a steady winner in SNG/cash games and then take some shots in MTT's. Tournaments can be very frustrating and can go long stretches w/ out a nice win!

Jeff, it is awesome to have you here. Can you tell us how you met Perky, and how big does the H-Town home games play?
I met Bill at a personal development course in 2012. The Houston game is pretty wild! I played a lot there for 4 years; after meeting my now wife I played much less but it def is a big game!

This is a great question! I think poker is unique that you can make your own schedule although sometimes the hours are more crazy or long stretches. Communication is huge and the ultimate aim is a nice balance but this is easier said the done! She is super patient & understanding. This is very lucky for me!

I have taken a fair amount of beats just due to the amount of hands have played! Also had some nice get there's too! the JJ to 99 recently on my twitch stream w/ the j43r flop losing to 99 running 99 was up there!

Hey! Yes I play online a fair amount; when I do I am streaming on Twitch (JeffGrossPoker.tv) & 95% tournaments online. Live I like MTT + cash games w/ PLO being my game of choice.

I think my favorite online buy in's are $500 but will play $215+ online mostly 1k+.

Thanks for the reply Jeff! Hopefully I can meet you when live poker starts back up. I railed a couple SHR that you played during the WSOP some years back.

few questions I am from the uk and gambling law/legislation has the potential to affect games here. Do you see this killing the viability of making a living from online poker in the UK or are you not that informed of this to comment?

another question I play quite a few six max tournies and have been getting quite frustrated the average field is about 400 players and I seem to consistently be finishing in 7th-10th position and not getting the top spots where bigger money is.

is this a Likely affect of variance and I will break through and get my big bink eventually or is this that I am doing something cataclysmically bad towards end game?

I accept that the further you get into a tourney the stronger on average the field is likely to be, and whilst I have an edge early in a tourney towards end game often I may potentially be one of the weaker players but even so the ownage cant be that bad can it?

My general thoughts are I have played scared to blow it which means I may be getting pushed of spots where I should not be and I should be more aggressive and assertive.

Eg should I be calling with an over and the nut flush draw or re raising to put pressure on them and push them off?

When I raise 99 on the button with a 35bb stack and 7 players left 4 handed on my table and the BB who has not fought back against my raises previously plus i had a run of cards so had raised like 70% of my hands previously (was correct learned hand ranges positions etc like I said run of cards) re raises my button raise what do I do here?

eg he has not fought back at all until now so I am thinking he has something big but then it does look like I am getting out of line so maybe he has started to push back. but not much he can have ahead of 99? do I just call the reraise 6 bigs or do I 4 bet/jam here very awkward spot to me.

dont want to flip for tournament life but then do I have fold equity and maybe its something that has to be done.
