Ok, video hand:
https://youtu.be/Ls3oOrk4qLE

Finally got my setup done. Had a lot more issues than I thought I would. We can start breaking down some more regular hands and spots on here now. I'm ready.... bring it.

Nice video.. found myself watching the basketball replay shot though so bit of a distraction.

Ajs what if the river pairs the board we check/call and check fold to a jam?

can we fold bottom set here?

Good video John, aces is right the TV in the background is a little distracting.

Here was an interesting spot today

Pacific, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 9 Players

SB: $11.38 (113.8 bb)
BB: $13.19 (131.9 bb)
UTG+1: $12.08 (120.8 bb)

CO: $10.88 (108.8 bb)
BTN: $26.07 (260.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 5

SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $1.12, MP3 raises to $10.21, Shoving into 4 players including me who is showing strength?? bottom set doesn't look to clever here.
The board is dynamic and wet enough that draws and straights could be shoving, those hands have a lot of equity against us.

But why overshove into 4 players, even with the nuts?
So what is hero best doing here?

A lot of players are now shoving Nut flush draws now.

Less people shove here with AA.... so its probably a straigjt.. people are just not that clever

it appears people are more afraid of variance these days and frankly dont want to play poker

Noted about the TV. It's on a swivel so it's easily moved.

Do you want me to do a video about this hand tmw, or just answer in here? I can do either.

If river pairs still jamming. It's opponent based, and this guy can over value a lot of hands because of his image. We're hoping it doesn't of course, but I'm still jamming versus someone like this.

Ok a vid would be great. attached is what we have on the vill for a bit of extra insight.
Pretty bad reg from the stats, looks totally positionally unaware and pretty straightforward, doesn't check raise and does some donking out, seems like if he continues on the flop with the lead then he's going with it to the end. He just bets his hand by the looks of it.
Makes me lean towards a made hand like top set or 89 rather than a draw.

Ok, maybe I'll do a video for a few of these then. It will be easier.

I also had an idea yesterday. What about a video series of me going over chapters of Polished poker? One chapter at a time.

thoughts on how this was played?

They can't resist the squeeze

UTG+1 raises to $0.60, Hero calls $0.60, I had been at the table for 93 hands and had not 3bet yet. I felt like if I 3bet here I may as well turn them face up.

2 folds, BB raises to $8, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to $22.63, CO folds, BB calls $8.99
Just for a moment I considered flatting this $8 bet to see if the squeeze raiser would come along or overshove. Then I resorted to lets not get too greedy he might come along anyway.

Yeah, even at these stakes there's a lot more squeezing. It's profitable to flat w/ big hands in MP or LP and wait for some squeeze happy peeps.

Any ways, nh.

Thank you! Honestly, yes. I have been playing quite well lately. NOT being unlucky also helps. My decision making has been relatively on point for the past several weeks. Well, the entire 2017, actually, and what is great, is that I see so much more improvement that I can do.

Self-motivating engine: Studying -> playing better -> getting better results -> understanding the game more -> studying -> adjusting leaks -> playing better...

Going to step back to the cash games in the nearest future :)

Yeah, sorry.... I've been ubber busy these past few days. You guys can still post hands like you usually do.

Some interesting hollywood news is Molly's game finished shooting, so it's in post production now. Jeremy Strong took me to lunch yesterday, and we ran into Anna Paquin, and sat and finished lunch with her and her kids. I was there with Anna's kids on my lap talking Hollywood shop. Sometimes you never know what the day will bring right? :)

I'm going to do some more videos next week. But right now, let's focus on a specific topic yeah?

Everyone that's in this thread should end up winning long term, and increase their current level of play. That's our goal. So we got off here a bit, but time to grind it back up!
