Glgl scourrge!
Will you be at Potawatomi again soon?
Probably? Been on a short hiatus just due to work and life constraints, but I'm out there prob 2-3 weekends/month on average.
Just make that ITM shenanigans or better: FT shenanigans!Made day 2 of MSPT Vegas. Stay tuned for shenanigans.
We're gonna be closer to the money than I thought. About 60 spots away. And looks like a really good table draw potentially.
Yep, 45 will cash, and 78 remain. I'm pretty near the bottom in terms of chip counts, but my table draw seems pretty good... 4 people to my left are all first time cashers or have under 5k in MSPT earnings. John Kurfman is easily the most accomplished in terms of MSPT performance, and it's just due to 1 FT. I played with him in the event he final tabled, and feel like he'll be pretty manageable. No one else stands out to me either.
The key is gonna be actually building a stack back up, which will mostly require some good luck, but if I can build in the beginning I think I have a good shot at running it up if my table doesn't break too early.
How to fall asleep at the table and get away with it would be wearing sunglasses. If you snore somebody will wake you up
Good luck bro!
Win it. Don't worry, the spots will come (sure hope so).
I will be looking forward to hearing the inevitable good news.
We're 50 pages into this thread, so I wouldn't qualify that as a "meaningful post" but okay thanks for dropping in.
Welp, unfortunately a spot came but I didn't win it...
2nd hand of the day, and an old guy open limps UTG+1. It folds around to me OTB, and I look down at 66. I looked at the old guy, and his demeanor just didn't scream strength at all. He had re-checked his hole cards a couple times, so I didn't think he had a PP that often, and overall he didn't seem that engaged.
With only 2 people behind me, and a 62k stack (at 1.5k/3k/500a), I decided to shove all in to try to pick up the 12k that was in the middle, or take a flip for my stack.
It folded to the old guy, who was very on the fence. He looked like he wanted to fold, but ended up talking himself into a call with AJo. Fine, except for once the A hit the flop.
Turns out he was the only one at the table who didn't cover me, but I was left with just ~18k. I was dealt garbage and no spots for 2 orbits - the only spots I could have profitably open shoved, someone opened in front of me, and 3b-shoving wouldn't have any FE. Then OTB again it folded around to me with just 8.5k (a hair under 3bb), and looked down at another garbage hand... 93o.
Unfortunately at this point I was so short I would have no future opportunity, so I shoved, and got a miraculous fold from the SB, but the BB called with the Q7o and the board ran out dry for both of us.
Out after about 20 minutes, followed by a looooooong drive home. On the bright side I got a free soda at McDonald's and got to see the National Motorcycle Museum by accident! Hope everyone's weekend has been more profitable than mine.
Still sounds like a winning weekend IMO. Museums are cool yo
You gotta learn how to hold.....
However, you have done really well on the tourney scene, so maybe you do know how to hold?
Hopefully, I will also be back in the tournament scene this fall. The WSOPC has a big stop in Hammond IN. I want to go there again this fall.
Maybe I'll see you there?
I didn't actually go inside lol. I just happened to stop there.
Cool. When is it? There's a decent chance I would try to make it down since it's just a ~3 hour drive for me.
Still subbed. <3
