Dont matter what table ur on if ur card dead

Oh. When you said, "I'm trying to get in the habbit of dropping the table if I aint doing anything on it between 75-100 and hope to join another where I'm active," I assumed you meant you switch to a different table. What did you mean?

Is this still an issue for you? This past week is the first time I have played there since early December, and I'm not having any problems.
I haven't had this problem once this week. Also, I had some viruses on my laptop but I was able to remove them. My computer has been running much better since then but I'm not sure if it was the cause of the problem or not.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's a tough situation, just got to follow your gut.
My gut says to call the po po but I have noticed that since I've been talking with others in the house about the neglect that they have been letting their dogs out for longer periods of time. They even had the dogs out in their living room today too. I don't know how long they'll keep it up but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt for the time being.

Calling police is the last resort.
At least get some discreet photo's of the animals. People who know the breed will know if they are being mistreated
Why don't you offer to walk the dogs for a fee? Just a couple of 20 min walks a day could do wonders and you'd still be in everyones good books. And getting a decent break from the screen and some fresh air.
I never thought about doing that. I can't lie though, I don't like unruly, poorly trained dogs. They'd be a real hassle to walk. I do walk one of the dogs in the house just about everyday. She's a Shepard mix and she's very well mannered. They have made a couple of improvements with the dogs downstairs since they've heard me talking about this whole situation. They're clearly not very happy with me but the dogs are benefiting for the moment.

On another note, I just finished reading "How to Meditate". It's exactly what is sounds like, it was an easy read and while it was pretty basic I still found it to be quite insightful. I think it helped me in dealing with this whole dog ordeal. The situation in itself isn't anger producing but rather how I choose to perceive and deal with it was the true cause of my anger. I haven't actually started practicing meditating yet but I plan to start soon. I'm also reading "The Theory of Poker". Long overdue on this one. I'm having a little bit of a tough time getting into it because I only know how to play holdem and they're always talking about other games but hopefully I'll burn through it quickly.

Had a good day at the tables. Pretty much turned my week around results wise. However, I'm tired and a bit tilted. I made a couple of mistakes because of it. I don't mind making mistakes but one thing I do that I can't stand is not thinking through a spot thoroughly when I'm frustrated. Unacceptable..

As long as you recognize and press on the things you lack when you tilt early.
Hopefully then you can get out b4 it hits hard.. Or breaks needed.

Not thinking properly is what happens when we are either tired or on tilt (higher brain functions shut down). Sleep bro, its really important for staying mentally sharp, if you are tired and playing then short sharp sessions with more breaks...this all adds up to less mistakes.:) And that's why the dog situation needs to be rectified.
Man I played tired all summer and my results were crap at that time.

Yeah, I was exhausted yesterday and I tend to get tilted when I'm tired too so it wasn't good at all. It's tough trying to get any volume without playing full time hours when you can only 4 table. Also, playing longer sessions and building stats has it's benefits when playing anonymous players. I'm just getting used to grinding full time and I think that while I wasn't playing my A game it at least wasn't a full blown C game.

I wasn't sure if this villian was doing this with just a pair. I kind of think I should have called looking back. Thoughts?

Yeah, I guess yesterday just wasn't my day. I'd gotten my aces cracked twice already and I wasn't trying to do it a third time.. Once AA vs KK the other flopped set over set vs 33, GII on the flop and he turned quads lol. I still managed to loose less than a BI though. So there's that.

I couldn't pull the trigger on this one. I knew his range was going to be pairs bigger than mine most likely and maybe some ragged aces after he checked the flop. I was planning to bet twice but the K was surely good for his range. Knowing that I couldn't decide if it was worth betting twice at this point so I just gave up like a little poon.

I think when he checks back the flop, you have to decide whether you want to fire off 2-3 barrels and turn your hand into a bluff, or give up. His range is almost always weak aces/JJ-KK. Very unlikely AK is checking here with the draws out there, and if he had a bluff he would have tried to stab at the A high flop. The K doesn't improve his range except for specifically KK.

I agree. In hindsight I wish i would have checked back the flop because he would have checked the turn and I could have bet, bet more confidently with that line.

Are there enough Ax combinations to justify a call on the end here? I knew sometimes I was flopped near dead or turned dead but I felt this could just as easily be AK, AQ, AJ.

River is a fold. I think hardly anyone raises a bare A there. So many hand combinations beat you.

100NL has been rough for me for past two days. Got K high flush over Q high flush twice and lost pretty much almost my whole stack, lost 2 300BB pots in a row where I had 75% equity each, losing a lot of money with aces from having to fold them to turn raises/river jams/crappy runouts, etc. I mean, how can they have it every time? Poker gets really frustrating sometimes. Still up 2BI after 13k hands, which is not so great :(. Hope to run better next week.

I'm terrible at counting combos but i think it's got to be close here. Most sets are reraising me on the flop because the board is so draw heavy, so are two pairs. AJ, Kx, Qx, they can all just call. idk but i certainly need to work on counting combos.

Yeah dude, it gets tough sometimes and other times it just seems easy. I try to stay even keeled by trying not to think about the dollar value but the average value i'm generating by playing hands. With that outlook even loosing days are winning days. As long as you're playing you're making money..

Could we have 3bet this guy to know what we dealing with range wise??

He calls pre we go in value mode. But perhaps we can exploit his fold to 3bet??

He raises we can fold or callc break even to level at this point but shouldnt b hard to know where we stand... same outcome tho

Setmining oop isnt great and fig shows how hard it is to get paid off when we do hit.

Well I'm not strictly set mining with 10's but yeah I could have 3bet and he would fold. I think his hand makes sense. He was tight aggressive so QQ, Q10, K10, KK, QK all raise. AJ, AA, AK, KJ, AQ most likely don't. The more I look at it I'm thinking it's just a bad run out to a cooler.

If you run the equity against the second set of hands I listed above we're an 83% favorite on the river. When you combine all of the hands I listed into his range it gives me 67%. I'm getting 2.67-1 so it's certainly a profitable call. This guy was a tight aggressive fish so I'm confident the later of the two ranges was more accurate and that he would also shove his ace high straights on the end as well. This is one of the more interesting spots I've played lately but I doubt i would have torn it apart if I had won the hand.. Silver linings.

Haven't been getting good sleep this week and it's taxing to say the least. I did manage to hit my 35 hours though and I've been running pretty damn good. $833 @ 7.1k hands. Sensory deprivation tank in the a.m.. I'm stoked!
