Protential, do you think zoom mode disadvantage loose players? I mean that when discarding weaker hands, the average range would be more nit, so a player who plays more hands would face better hands in general. Is this correct?

And what do you prefer, zoom or cash?
Thanks!

Hey man. Brother of mine played on some app called pokerrr 2. You needed a passcode to join but it had a lot of action and cash settlements after game was over every day.

I am hoping to find a host on here that runs something similar.

Can you point me in right direction?
Dont know any1. Sorry

To some degree. But most people play too tight, so a slightly loose player who hand reads well can crushhh. I prefer normal cash.

Sitting down at a new table in a live game, how is your strategy different versus how you play after being at the table for 2-3 hours and understanding the current game dynamics/flow of the game you are sitting at?

answer me :D

Ask me anything Cash Game related that doesnt involve a specific hand!

Topics like: Theory questions, studying questions, mindset, game selection, bankroll management, staking industry, sites to play on, software and tools, where to play live, live adjustments, etc.

If you'd like my input on a handhistory please post it in the designated area of the site and I'll happily give my input!

I spend a lot of time playing zoon and I think the best strategy is to be loose because the fish are abandoning a lot to get better cards and steal more blinds. The problem of being nit is that the fish people will also look for better cards. My recommendation is to play regular tables as they are with the fish with which we earn money ......

Hi. I want to share and ask a question. I have a very small bankroll (20$). I play like one hour/day cash game 1/2c and last 4 days happened something similar. I get in the game with 1$ and lose it, then i play with another 1$ and win 3$ so 3-2= 1$win/day. Is that consider profitable? should i play more? Or i'm not having the profit needed cause of the downswing's days.

depends it may be in the $ 1 you lost for a bad beats and in the other you indicate the variance you could see helped the best would be that if you are new I have a jueg tihg and play your hands of strong value betting and after a minimum 5k of hands see if your game mode is rentrable or not since only 1 day of game does not say anything

Guys how many times I played nl 10 , people there is so tight that as soon as my arm is above average and they constantly fold , it is impossible to reach with hands worse . Can I do something wrong ? I play aggressively

it is impossible to give an accurate answer because if you are very tihg and have many mans with you put pressure to make you abandon your hand and not pay when you bet the most advisable is to adapt your game to the rivals according to the content of the table

Finding out how aggro the people to my left are will drastically impact my raising range.

Generally after 1hr i know who the stations are, who the nits are, who the maniacs are and am adjusting vs each accordingly.

Have you ever quit a live cash game session based only on the fact that you're "running bad"?

there is no emotion it is a very common mistake to lose more than one box if you do not get up but if you know how to control you can stay calmly and recover what is lost

What software is the most effective in finding fish and donkey's?
Is Poker tracker table selector any good?

almost all poker rooms have an immense amount of recreational players should you look more at the rake and its traffic in your game time I think and obvious raise your level to be able to win the max possible money

How to identify fish quickly

I just picked up starting playing again but now more seriously and notice that the fish get eaten by the sharks so quickly that I seems to miss out on them. I play 50NL no-limit holdem and have about 14k hands in my database (5k of the last two months).

Is not re-buying automatically and I not having many hands on them enough indication of them being fish. Also not playing full stack seems like a good indication.

Reasonable indicators. But having played only 5k hands recently itd be easy for you to not play much vs many regs.

Not sitting full stack is generally a good indicator

I briefly looked to see if this has been asked and didn't find anything, but apologies if it has been. At a 6max table, what size(s) do you use to open? I have heard that it is better to use smaller sizings in earlier positions, larger in later. Watching higher stakes games, 500z on PS for example, this does indeed seem to be the trend. What effects do various opening sizings have?
It is not immediately clear what size(s) should be used, or why we should even raise in the first place. Typically people discuss stealing the blinds, but I don't think this is the 'full story'. I don't advocate limping, but I have yet to see concrete evidence that it is -EV :p:D

Lots of reasons why limping is awful.

Sizing should always be a function of position relative to button and stack depth.

Earlier position = larger sizing.

Deeper stack = larger sizing.

Personally on tougher tables I 3.5x in ep, 3x in mp, and 2.5x button.

How far is the game in online and offline tournaments from the table cache different?

I just never once participated in the offline cache table, I would like to know the dynamics of the game itself

Live tables are much dofter than online.

Usually a 1$-2$ table plays like a $.02-$.05 table online.

you think that playing cash at low limits can be won if you play according to rank and position since at those low levels there are many fish

Live: Play with a button ante, or with props like 2-7 game, or with 3 blinds, and short handed.
