Hi, I have a strat question about zoom micro players raising big and following through: is it mostly 2p+ and we should fold any one pair by the turn? or by the river?

I know it may be too complex because of so many board textures etc. but thinking this line might be just nuts from micro zoom players regardless of it.

Often a post flop raised is very strong, and continuing after that is generally extremely strong.

can we trust our lives with HUD stats?

Hi there Laplante, how you doing? I have a doubt here and I count with your kindness to help us.
I would like to know how much can we trust in stats such as WTSD, W$SD and WWSF at micro and mid limits for 6-Max Cash Tables. I confess that I don't even use it. However, I see many friends here risking their necks with these kind of information.
Which volume of hands played could be really reliable for us to use these stats, for bluffing for example, in a deep stacked pot in the turn? Are we getting stacked a lot times having only the statistics on our side?
I know that for 3-bet preflop, for instance, we need a sample of at least 1000 (one thousand) hands to be trustworthy. I also know that for river bets we need huge statistics of ten thousand hands or twenty thousand hands at least, for the information to be good.

"WTSD (Went to Showdown) tells you how often villain goes to showdown. If this is very low it tells you that he often folds before showdown and goes to showdown with good hands.

W$SD (Won $ at Showdown) tells you how often villain wins at showdown. If it is for example low it means he often sees showdown with not so good hands.

WWSF (Won When Saw Flop) Tells you how often villain won the hand after seeing flop."

I think the WTSD/etc stats don't matter really.

The rest of the stats matter way more.

Hi Ryan,
How do you have your HUD set for playing MTT's?
And for Micro/Low stakes, what would you suggest?

'Raise First in' is on my top row ;) I've watched just one of your 'free vids' from your site and nevver did make it to a 2nd video. Instead I watched that one video 3x I'm just getting back to playing MTT's (after spending the past 5yrs. playing a mix of micro Zoom, micro/low stakes cash when playing online) and just from studying that one video, I feel I'm finding spots I most probably would've previously missed. I assumed I would make my way through the other 9 videos and then tell myself perhaps I'll join sometime in the future. Well I never did get around to watching the other videos.... but that's because I joined the site today instead :)

Really looking forward to working my way through all of the material and I'm certain it's going to make a big difference for me. I've been wanting to take my recreational hours online a bit more seriously (at least with intentions of making a few dollars part-time) and although I've studied a fair bit in the past, I really was struggling with where to get started again. Now I don't have to struggle.

I'm also looking forward to participating in your league games for the $10k promo for members. I don't like losing so perhaps I will be seeing you in Vegas ;)

Super excited about studying again & can't wait to get started on your site's content.

Is it okay for players to risk large amounts of chips to projects when only the river needs to come out?

Hi Ryan

I have question start to play cash games on pokerstars on Mikros stack and was going well but when I start play with all this strategy 3betting, cbet, ranges, going only with good hands I’m losing a lot :(
What I have discovered my self all this strategy are not working on mikro stack because people who bet 1-2 or 2-5c they don’t care about money and they calling with trash but so many time they win. Im tired of losing AA, KK, AK QQ with 83 T5 or even sometimes 72 :(
Annoying is no body 3-x bet, Reis many of them after my 3bet are going all in.
How to play then if I have AKs on flop we have Q J 2 then coming 9 5 I make c-bet and on the end I’m loosing with guy 62o
On what stack people are start playing real poker.
Best Regards Rafal

These stats matter over the smallest sample.

The issue with 1-2 is how high the rake is.

2-5 is better, and games are very good.

Learn how to beat that stake very well before trying 5-10.

Hello all.

I've been going over some of my largest downfalls in my cash games.

Not evaluating correct times to play Axs, (I'm thinking of using spr to evaluate going forward?)

Not respecting large open raises enough. 4BB+

Calling over the odds for the river card.

Shoving preflop

Opening Axo from EP

Aggression with my straight draws especially over suited boards.

Calling bets on the flop with air attempting to catch a bluff.

Betting flops with air and/or with mediocre hands.

Missing value on overchecking the river.

Over valuing pocket pairs, 99's and lower, whilst covered. (stack to pot ratio again perhaps?)

Bloating pots early on with Axo.

Over valuing pocket pairs on extremely wet boards.

Over valuing flopping trips on wet boards (relying solely on one hole card)

Having a way to wide 4-bet range

Overvaluing middle pair/middle kicker.

Over calling with mediocre hands (63s)

Critisim is welcome.

Thank you.

My advice would be on how to manage workload, and this sort of heuristic approach is good for getting an overview of your complete game and the idiosyncrasies of your play style, look which way your out of balance be it aggression or passivity or a generalization of your play style (ofc we aren't trying to play a particular style as we are strive for balance, equilibrium and unexploitability) and see which areas you wish to work on "lend a hand" to this! Because when we change one thing another is inadvertently effected right.

Players at the table need to feel. If you don’t have a flair, no statistics will help you.

So whats the best way to deal with a very aggressive player, I try being patient and waiting for a monster but by the time I get one I'm almost out of chips

Tell people, does anyone agree that there are tournament players and there are cache players? Agree that there are no universals?

to play cash games you need a good bankroll, as far as I know, these were mostly professional players who play, and the chances of winning there are very small

I would like to know what you do, how do you suddenly want to poop during a poker session? What should I do in such a situation? My mindset is not so good to leave the game. Moving a desktop computer to the toilet takes too long. I checked myself. So I keep as much as I can, but then I lose more than usual. How do you force yourself to stop playing? Once I threw a computer out the window and it turned out to be good, because I saved some money instead of losing poker, but I can't afford to smash the computer again. What to do?

A couple of months ago I built a bankroll of 445 bucks from freerolls and 2 dollar buy in cash games in 9 days. I lost it all in 5 mins because of tilt and lack of discipline. How do you aquire strong cash game discipline and avoid tilt?

Hello Ryan!

My question is: what distance do you need to play at the NL2 Zoom to understand if you beat this limit?
And which winrate is considered good?

What do you think , about going from NL25 directly at NL100, without NL50? Is really a big difference between NL25 and NL50, if we talk about $/hour? I mean if you have 6bb/100hands at NL25, what can be a reason to play NL50 with 3bb/100 hands?
Sorry for my bad English...

What do you think? Thank you!
