It's hard and not really fair to compare players from different times. Football has changed so much. Football is harder now. Back in the days,when you received the ball,you had time control the ball,have a cup of coffee before passing it to a team mate. Now you need to play faster because you have straight away 2 players from the other team pressing you.

George Best....head and shoulders above the rest. And he played against a lot tougher oppos than the girly-wimps messi or ronaldo.

Ronhaldinho was good...But Cruyff was better.
Maradona was inspirational...especially at Napoli..had moments of genius...but no great consistancy.

and as an ex alex ferguson fan...i would include the goalkeeper schmeichel, and paul scholes in the list...world class players...both very under rated.

I am so confused about who is the best. The only thing I can ensure you is that I prefer Maradona. I like his passion for football , his iniquity , his career and his trophies with Napoli and Boca juniors . Last but no least, no matter how, he won a world championship
