Today is a great day. We beat the Brewers 8-2 today for another 1 win 2 loss series.
Thats not the good news. The big news today is that Stephen Strasburg and Joe Ross will be going to minor league teams for rehab assignments. Wonderful news for Washington. We have really missed their pitching. Hopefully both pitchers will be successful in the rehabilitation assignments and will be back with the team soon. Now Washington is coming home, first up is a 3 game series with the Los Angelos Dodgers.

Well, once again Washington got one win out of 3 games. The last game with the Dodgers was our only win,1-0. Really great pitching duel and Eric Fedde shut the Dodgers down on 4 hits through 6 innings. We will take it. Now the Colorado Rockies come to town for 4 games. I am actually going to Saturday's game with the family. Have not been for 2 years, Weather is supposed to be 80 and sunny. Perfect.

Awesome series. Washington won 3 out of 4 games against Colorado. I was there last night, with family, first time in 2 years.for us. Sadly, the game they lost, 3-2, was the one I went to. We won this afternoon by one run. Tonight, Washington is going to New York for a series with the Mets.

That was a bad 3 games in New York. We lost all 3 games to the Mets and they were not close. The Mets scored about 28 runs over the 3 games and Washington scored 5 runs. Wow, that's pretty bad. A bright spot, sort of, was young pitcher Evan Lee making his major league debut, and not doing too badly. He was kind of shaky but it's a start. Now we travel to Cincinatti to play the Reds.

The last game with Cincinatti just ended. Washington won 3 out of four to have a 3-4
road trip so far. The last out was a runner picked off first base by the catcher.You
don't see that to often. The final score was 5-4, whew. Now we go to Florida for 3 games with the Marlins.

Ouch, We lost all 3 games in Miami to the Marlins. The second game was a 2-1 loss in extra innings, hard to take. Last night we had a ray of hope because Stephen Strasburg came off the injured list He did not win but it was great to have him back and I'm sure good things will follow. Now back in Washington for a home stand.

The Brewers have Woodruff and Burnes who are really good when they're on the mound while Lauer is having another really good season with an era around 3 like last year.

Its good to see the Nats winning games against a competitive team in the Brewers, its good for baseball.

Sorry about Strasburg but these pitchers blow out their shoulder/arm trying to throw a ball 100+ mph and destroy their arms.

Its a shame the game rewards folks that throw incredibly hard rather than folks that can get people out and stay healthy.

The Brewers are a good team this year. Playoff? Could be. Wow, out of 5, yes 5 games, the Nats only one. Philly won two in extra innings, great for them, ouch for us. Day off today, then on to Baltimore for 2 game.

The Nationals and Orioles split the 2 games. LOL, the second game was rained out in the 5th inniing after it was an offical game. Right
after the third out, it started to POUR The game restarted later but was fianally canceled. We got 3 and 1/2 inches of rain. At least we won 1 game. Today we start a series with the Texas Rangers.

Great, We got some really good starting pitching and we won 2 out of 3 games in Texas. Gray looks great, Tetreault was just wonderful.
Now we are home for 3 games with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Eric Feede is pitching tonight, he has also been good lately.

Once again, the Washington Nationals won 2 out of 3 games in their latest series with the Pittsburgh Pirates. We were oh so close to taking 3 out of 3 games. The Pirates won by the score of 8-7. Does not get closer then that. The gae was lost over a blown call by the umpiring crew.
Alas, a loss is a loss. Of today then 4 games at home against the Miami Marlins.

Wonderful, we had a 4 game 4th of July series with the Miami Dolphins. Miami is quite happy, they won all 4 games. This is really a tough year for
Washington so far. All of the games were close but Miami won them all. Tonight we start a 3 game series against the Phillies. Can't any worse?

We lost two out of three in Philadelphia and now we have lost the first two games of a three game series in Atlanta. We just cannot seem to get things going. We are close but not quite there. Soto has been great but can't do it alone. Maybe a win today?

Dang, We lost the final game in extra innings 4-3. Another sweep for them, not us. Home now, starting with Seattle. Will playing at home help???

All right. Washington lost the first 3 games to the Atlanta Braves , but today we snapped a 9 game losing streak and won the last game 7-3.
Juan Soto had an 8th inning home run to put him at 20 this year. Kyle Finnigan closed out th e ninth inning for a save, Finally a win. Soto
turned down a 440 million dollar, 15 year deal to stay in Washington. Wow, What will it take. Is he leaving to a better offer? We will see, the trade deadline is August 2nd.

I was on vacation last week. Good week at the beach. The Nat's managed to win one from the Cardinals this weekend. The big news is Juan
Soto. Three teams seem to be in for the running for Juan. Padres, Cardinals and Dodgers. I wish Washington would keep him.

Well, for those that missed it, Juan Soto and Josh Bell are now with the San Diego Padres, I am sorry to see them go. The Nationals did get 6 players from the Padres, so that helps. Lots of young guys that hopefully will be the future stars for the Nationals. Time will tell right.
I read that the Soto trade could work out to be like the sale of Babe Ruth from Boston to New York. Wow. We are in Philly tonight for the beginning of a 4 game series.

That was a sad performance in Philadelphia. They love us in Philly. We lost all 4 games. The last game was a 13-1 trouncing. It can't get any worse can it? On the nats extra show after the game , the announcers were suggesting a players only meeting. Can't hurt. Now we go Chicago for 3 games with the Cubs.

Lost the rubber game to the Cubs, getting away with one game. We were up 2-0 in the 7th inning and ended up losing 4-2
Josiah Gray pitched a great game but we ended up on the short side. Off tomorrow, then we get the San Diego Padres for
3 games. Soto and Bell will be back in town.

Once again, we won 1 game out of 3, this time againat the San Diego Padres. We got to see Juan Soto and Josh Bell recently traded from Wagsington to the Padres. Wish we could turn these around and take 2 out of three. Now we get the Chicago Cubs for 3 games.

Washington finally got a win for a starting pitcher! Patrick Corbin pitched well, left the game after 6 innings with the lead, 3-2, and Washington held on for the win. The losing streak for starting pitchers was at an all time MLB record 43 games. Not a good record to have,
Off today, then the Oakland Athletics come to town for a three gane series.

Wow, good day. Washington beat the Mets 7-1 today. That is the same score as yesterday! We won 2 out of 3 games from them. While I was watching today I played the poker stars Sunday CC game and won first place. Really nice day. Now we go to St. Louis for a series with the Cardinals.
