This thread again? No. It's not a sport. Monopoly board game, Risk board game are skill games too that have WAY less variance than poker. So therefore, are they sports?
If I can sit on my ass all day and can beat Phil Ivey on random days, then no, it's not a sport. And I can beat Phil Ivey when I get better cards or if I get really lucky.
There are way many hobbies and activities out there to be considered a sport.
Poker is indeed a game that requires skills but never a sport.

wsop, WPT, any pro poker tournament. All it requires is money. My grandma can join WSOP, WPT, etc if they want.
Can my grandma join NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL? No.
