Liverpool - Manchester City 3:2
Great match by both teams and the 10th victory in a row by Liverpool.
On the 27th of April there will be the key game for the leadership
between Liverpool and Chelsea.

I'm not a fan of any of English teams at this moment,
but think that Liverpool deserves to win the Premiere league this year,
the first time in his history.

The important games i think are :
Liverpool vs Chelsea and Everton vs Manchester City,
though surprises never ask the permission to happen.

So - despite the misgivings I have expressed in other threads - I am relieved in many ways that Rafa Benitez has today signed his new contract, that will keep him at Anfield for at least 5 more years.

It does give us continuity and, despite the failure to beat so many of the lower-placed teams this year, we have managed to do the double over both ManU and Chelsea for the first time in a gazillion years, and are again in the last 8 of the CL.

I believe that new owners will arrive in the summer - probably with a bit more cash - so we can (at long last) start on the new stadium and move forward. Parry is leaving, and that leaves Rafa in a position of more control, which he obviously wanted.

Even if we fail in the Premier League this year, we will have bigger expectations next year. One of these days........

How is Agger he didnt play against City????

Funny old game. Who'd have thought Sunderland would be the ones to break "The Special One's" home record?

Now it's on to tomorrow - and the new "most important game of the season", at Norwich. We have a small bit of breathing space, but don't want to blow it. A defeat in any game puts City back in the box seat. A draw lets them both back in. But a win....a win at Norwich puts us 7 points away from the league title.

And City still has 2 tough games left. At Everton and at Palace, who are playing like champions themselves at the moment - and Liverpool has to go to Palace too...still a few twists and turns left, methinks.

Don't want anymore twists or turns - just let it be, Champs = Liverpool and Pompey are mid-table, end the season, finito, finale, finish, fin.

I'd take it now Ian if offered, but still a bit of work to do......can't take anything for granted after 24 years!!
