Took time? 2 and a half quarters is way too much time. If the Jets had converted more instead of getting stuck and kicking field goals the score would have been much more one sided. if it takes them that long day to get going every game the vikings have a long season ahead of them. I still dont think the offense is rejuvenated but they did get better in the second half. And like you said jho if Farve can dodge suspension (which i think he will) and injury (which i think it's only a matter of time before his arm fails him or he takes a big hit which will floor him) then maybe he can put up solid numbers, but it hasn't shown in the 1st quarter of the season. Moss will help improve Farve's numbers without doubt. But if they happen to make it to the playoffs i dont see them getting far.

It took them time to get untracked against one of the best defenses of the NFL. Any time your offense can put up 3 td's on the jets' d, that's a pretty good day. And you yourself mentioned that they haven't had the time yet to incorporate Moss into the gameplan (and on their last td, moss wasn't even in there in their 2 min offense). I think it's safe to say that Favre is going to put up pretty solid #'s the rest of the way barring suspension or injury.
I agree. Plus, the pouring rain throughout the 1st half didn't help either. I think the Vikes will make a run at the division championship. Their schedule looks intimidating, though.

McCoy is going to get killed man.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AuiRluf_1BhnY.BENok3TbQ5nYcB?slug=jc-jacksonmankins101310

Basically this new agreement benefits all holdouts present and future (current holdouts are Vincent Jackson and Logan Mankins). Jackson was in specific trouble because in the old agreement the Chargers could have forced him to stay as a restricted free agent next year too, meaning he could have been doubly screwed over.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-chargers-merriman

Merriman will get released by the Chargers. Would you want your NFL team to pursue him for the veteran's min this year? I know the Giants' linebackers aren't that great, but they've really been improving this year, especially Goff and Sintim. I wouldn't want any part of Merriman on the g-men.

There aren't NFL teams that give up. Cleveland has a good team. I think the players will rally around Colt McCoy and he will do what he always did which is win.

Pittsburg's chemistry might take a step back inserting Ben Rothlisberger back in. Look for the Browns special teams and defense to come up big in this game.....

As for Merriman - he can't perform at a high level without performance enhancers, that much is obvious. Since he got suspended, he hasn't been an elite player - just a average/below average one.

Finley out for the year. Big ouch for fantasy owners and for Green Bay. I was actually angry that my internet lagged in one league and autopicked eagles rb mccoy instead of Finley for me, but now I'm really happy about that lol.

Also Favre might sit a game or two if the elbow gets worse.

Giants the best team in the NFC?

http://www.bigblueview.com/2010/10/14/1750983/new-york-giants-notes-best-team-in-nfc

This was said before the Giants went on to defeat the Lions 28-20. The g-men are on a 3 game winning streak and looking strong heading into their monday night matchup against the Cowboys.

All the NFC teams are flawed in one way or another. I think the other teams that would give the Giants a hard time is anyone in their division, the Saints, and I think the Packers.

NFL Teams!

So far this year seems to be pretty open for just about any team except the cowboys/Niners and a few other teams..LOL

but whos all the most happy with there team and why and also lets do some early playoff/ superbowl predictions!

well ima packer fan and im pretty pissed off that we keep losing games due to excessive penalties and lack of play in the second half i def think we should be atleast 5-1 not sittin at .500
Def dont think we will make playoffs if we keep this stupid play up!

Like the Redskins? Come awn, man! After their week 8 bye, with Vick & D-Jax back, the Eagles will be unstoppable. Just hope Kolb can hang on with typical solid performances from McCoy & Maclin. I'm just really nervous about their 22nd ranked rush D stopping CJ - that is all they need to do to win, but no small task.

The G Men could quite possibly be the best team in the NFC. There isn't a whole lot going in the division, so in part I do agree with the statement of the OP.

@dive Same eagles who lost to the Redskins?
Divisional games always goes down to the wire, the teams know each other too well and it's always a monster fight.

@vanquish
Eli Manning: 1 SB championship
Rest of NFC East: zero

LMAO!!! The Falcons are the best team in the NFC. May have been beaten by the Eagles BUT...I think they may have prepared for the wrong QB that week. BS that Vick didn't get to play. Andy Reid is so full of BS it isn't even funny. Only other loss so far was to the Pittsburgh Steelers in OT. A game that coulda went either way.

I'm watching. No excuses if the Giants lose, but I fully expect them to win and put the Cowboys out of their misery.

+1

The Falcons are still the best team in the NFC. The Falcons have had to play 4 out of their first 6 games on the road.

Lots of home games and wins to come.

Hey, you don't get to be 6-0 and 5-1 by magic. Still have a container in the freezer. I put a little extra cayenne pepper in it for ya. And I know how you love that extra cumin powder

trent dilfer: 1 sb championship

In a period when you could still win a championship with just a dominant defense. That would not have been enough in 2007 and certainly not enough today.

Unless of course you're implying Dilfer can beat Tom Brady in a championship game. But it can probably happen, Eli did it right? ;)
