The 49er's

How can you explain this, this team has an abundance of talent, yet now 0-5. I think its Singletary, wouldn't be surprised to see him fired in the next day or 2.

The mnf game between the Jets and Vikings was awesome. Moss is making a huge impact in that offense by creating more opportunities for Harvin and others. If Favre hit a wide open Harvin towards the end the Vikings could have stole this game. Great win by the Jets.

The Vikings have a really tough schedule ahead. They have a huge game against the 1 win Cowboys next week, after that it's a string of +.500 opponents. I think it's safe to say that the loser of next week between the Vikes and Boys is pretty much smelling the end of the season.

Favre choked at the end and wasn't very accurate on that last drive.

1-3 isn't good....

The old man's elbow was killing him, but he hung in there. It looks like he needs to take a game or two off to heal.

I either needed a Moss toss for a TD or a pick six by the Jets defense to win my fantasy game. I'd much rather have seen Moss score again, being a Vikes fan, but........all is good in fantasyland.

Nah, he's just too old. A game or two of rest isn't going to change anything. This is Favre's last season for sure.

Also, I saw the Vikings schedule and it's pretty unforgiving.

Favre is falling apart. Last night's game was evidence. Once the throwing elbow goes... He must have hurt it texting.

Your dilemma is explained nicely in this comic strip :)

Is there anyone who doesn't go through this problem? My friend tries to resolve it by benching any stars that play against his Jets. But he made an exception for Drew Brees ^^

HaHa!

Yea, I heard he ran to the locker room after the TD to Moss & was on his phone. Shortly after, he started holding his elbow a lot.

The old man needs to retire. He clearly can't perform like he used to and its painful to watch him like this. I seem to be losing more and more respect for him as he keeps trying to compete at this high of a level when his body is breaking down. Is he still a good qb? sure. Better than others in the nfl? definetely. But you have to know when you're time is up. And Farve's time is long over with. Maybe he can retire now, knowing he has the most TD passes and the most passing yards. Though I'll doubt those records will stand if peyton manning can go another maybe 8 - 10 good years.

jmill did you even watch the game yesterday? Favre was completely rejuvenated having Moss on offense. He was wonderful, making plays that only a few other QBs are capable of. Of course with Favre you always have to take the good with the bad. And his worst problem are game ending INT's, and yesterday they fell into too big a hole.

I still think out of all the 1 win or less teams left, Minny has the best chance to rebound and make the playoffs. That defense is still great, and now the offense is going to start picking it up too. Favre just needs to ice the elbow and get it massaged, he should be able to handle this one last season.

His biggest concern is the photo scandal he created while with the jets. That might be what gets him suspended.

Rejuvenated? No way. Maybe you only saw the last half of the 3rd quarter and the 4th quarter. But if you saw the first half at all. There offense was stagnant. 1 first down the whole half, multiple turnovers, poor yardage on the ground and in the air. Moss wasn't spectaular either, yes he had a great catch for a TD, but that's to be expected from a great receiver. He however still has more to learn before he help the vikings offense. So lets be honest, Farve and the entire offense was trash the first half and then got better in the second half (but still not good enough to win). Whther than can make the play-offs still......well i'll leave that until after they play the cowgirls next sunday.

It took them time to get untracked against one of the best defenses of the NFL. Any time your offense can put up 3 td's on the jets' d, that's a pretty good day. And you yourself mentioned that they haven't had the time yet to incorporate Moss into the gameplan (and on their last td, moss wasn't even in there in their 2 min offense). I think it's safe to say that Favre is going to put up pretty solid #'s the rest of the way barring suspension or injury.

Yea, Favre's so great that he threw a pick 6 down by 2 points with 1:30 mins to go.

He sucks and he chokes - often.
