You were clearly saying Ronda was a bigger draw then GSP. She isn't.

I was saying Peak Ronda > Peak GSP, and it's 100% accurate. Her ceiling is undoubtedly higher.

Per-event lifetime average they're about the same.

In terms of total all-time sales yes, GSP will have done more because he fought a lot more times. But whatever. And I haven't been tricked by anyone - the numbers don't lie. You're the one trying to find the one angle on them that will make GSP something more than what he is, which is probably the fourth-biggest draw the company has ever had. That's nothing to be sneezed at BTW, good for him.

It doesn't really matter who Conor fights next, it'll be big regardless. He did huge numbers against bums (promotionally speaking) like Aldo and Alvarez. He'll make a fight against Tony Ferguson huge if that's what he wants to do next.

Ronda's Peak ... She only had 8 fights in the UFC. 6 were main events. Here whole UFC career is her Peak.

Ronda was never a bigger draw then GSP. I posted the numbers up. I used the non Co-Main as you requested. If we use the Co-Main events also then GSP numbers surpass Ronda's more then they do without. As you said numbers don't lie. And as I said .. You and others been tricked by Dana and Co.

Conors fights will do good regardless but they will do even better vs. GSP or Diaz and Conor is all about those PPV numbers because they = more $$$ for him.

Thoughts on Holm vs Cyborg? I think Holly has a very good chance of beating Cyborg. With Cyborg’s aggressive and at times reckless style vs Holm’s ability to counter and her amazing footwork, I could definitely see Holm catching Cyborg coming in and stop her. With the money line at +262 it’s definitely worth thinking about putting a bet on Holly Holm.

Don't think she has much of a chance and wouldn't bet on her even at that price.

quote from dana white on McGregor-
“These guys make money and that’s it. Fighting is the worst. Try to get up and get punched in the face every day when you’ve got $100 million in the bank. Money changes everything for a lot of people.”

I don't blame the guy I wouldn't want to get punched for the money they pay their fighters after receiving 100 mill for a boxing fight.

Yeah that's my thoughts too.

Cyborg doesn't actually fight that recklessly, at least not these days. She's absolutely aggressive, and she pushes forward, but she does it very smart, with good footwork and cage cutting. She's not likely to just run face-first onto Holm's punches or stand around dazed to eat a flush head kick like Rousey did.

They've actually got similar frames (same height, very similar reach) but I don't think there's any doubt who's going to be the bigger and more physically imposing fighter on the day.

I just hope they can make it an interesting fight, Holm has had some real snoozers of late...

McGregor is accused of punching a relative of a top Irish gangster during a fight at a pub on Sunday night. The mob boss in question is Graham “The Wig” Whelan, a lieutenant in the Kinahan crime cartel.

There’s a huge difference between good footwork in mma and the type of footwork Holm has, which is next level. You can still see that old chute boxe style in her fighting and I think if she gets tagged it will come out even more.

There have always been fighters that have been dominant and looked unstoppable but it always comes to an end and more often than not it comes when people aren’t giving their opponent a chance. A few examples Rich Franklin, Andrei Arlovski(twice), Chuck Liddell, Jose Aldo, Junior dos Santos and Ronda Rousey, just to name few. No one is unbeatable and you shouldn’t sleep on someone as talented as Holly Holm.

I'm not counting Holm out, I'm just saying Cyborg isn't really known for making the kind of mistakes that Holm is really good at capitalising on. And when her opponent isn't giving Holm the kind of fight she wants... well... we've seen how she struggles in those fights.

As for people losing when their opponents weren't given a chance, I don't think that was the case for a lot of those fights. The odds were very close for both Aldo v McGregor and Aldo v Holloway. Cain v JDS 2 was close prefight. Sure longshots come through too, like Holm over Rousey, Dillashaw over Barao, Namajunas over Joanna, the list goes on. I just think it means you have to take every match on its merits. And on merit, Holm has a very VERY tough fight against Cyborg.

Loved watching Alvarez win last night!!! He fought great! Loved the way he attacked the body of Justin. (& thanks for the $'s ;) )

That Cowboy fight was unreal! .. back & forth. Buddy took some huge blows & hung in there... very cool!

After hearing Joe rogan describe how he was still stiff as a board with his toes curled for a few minutes afterwards, I was genuinely relieved to see him up on his stool a little after. One of the most brutal KO's in a long time.

What a card UFC 218 was, just wow. Ngannou is one scary human being. Miocic vs Ngannou is going to be an insane fight.
Did anyone else see the article Carlos Monarrez wrote for the Detroit Free Press? What an absolute pile of trash for someone who obviously doesn’t understand or like MMA.
Telling Dana White not to come back to Detroit without bringing it next time, not smart because he just might never book another event in Detroit. Dana White has black balled casinos that have banned him from playing BJ, so probably shouldn’t taunt him.

Yes, the way his neck snapped back was brutal.

I think that if it happens everyone involved will probably make a lot of money, and it doesn't really matter what happens in the fight itself.

Far more interesting IMO: GSP has already vacated the middleweight title.

Wow Moraes going for the kick to the body and walking away with a sick KO victory.
Brian Ortega’s bbj is next level, can’t wait to see him get a title shot.
Miocic vs Nguannou is set for January 20th. It’s crazy to think that back in the day you had to wait 3-4 months between events.

That's the medical term for "not wanting to fight Robert Whittaker", right?

j/k obviously, wish him a speedy recovery and at least he did the right thing by dropping the belt he clearly never intended to defend.

UFC 219 wasn’t the most exciting card of the year but there were some good fights.
Holly Holm vs Cris Cyborg was very entertaining fight. I was impressed with how Holly was able to control Cyborg, for the most part, in the clinch.
Carla Esparza made an amazing come back after being dominanted in the first round.
Khabib had the most dominant performance of the night. For some reason it still amazes me that he can make world class fighter look like amateurs. Tony Ferguson has some serious work to do to solve Khabib.
