Besides Joanna it looks like you went for all underdogs in your picks. Very brave betting!! In horse racing terms that bet would be the equivalent of backing a sheep to win the Grand National.

The odds on Gastellum and Belfort are both insulting to them. Gastelum especially could very easily pull off a huge upset.

Good luck!! It will be an epic win if you pull it off.

Yes, I mostly picked underdogs But not just because they were the underdogs.

It's a long shot but I think everyone picked has a chance. Everyone of them winning is highly unlikely.

A small breakdown....

I think Dan Henderson has a real chance at KO'ing Bisping again. It only takes that one shot to land. But it is also his only chance at winning imo.

B.J. Penn at 3.8 underdog against a FW that isn't named Edgar .... Have to include him. I think allot are completely counting him out and he is good value here.

I think Alvarez gets the win if he can just avoid being KO'd in the first two rounds. But there is a real chance he gets KO'd within them first two rounds. I think Alvarez should be a favorite instead of an underdog.

Some of the other bets I added partially because I thought the odds were good value relative to the chance of the pick winning and partly because I wanted a bigger parlay and partly because of the small amount of money I am risking / the bet is just fun.

I think the Alvarez price might be a reflection of his inconsistency since coming to the UFC - the RDA win was a thing of beauty, but before that he had ugly split decision wins over Pettis and Melendez (both of whom have since shown that they're falling off the cliff pretty rapidly) and a loss to Cerrone.

Also you wouldn't think it given that Alvarez, not Conor, is the natural lightweight, but he actually gives up both the height and reach advantages to McGregor.

I'd have thought the true odds on this fight were closer to pick 'em or with Conor as the slight favourite.

As for BJ Penn, I'm gonna need to see him in action before I believe he's anything less than a warm body in a squash match at this stage - even training with Jackson Wink. We're talking about a guy who hasn't actually won a fight since 2010... and that was a fight with ready-to-retire Matt Hughes. Plus he's fighting at featherweight again, a weight he struggled badly to reach (and looked awful at) back in 2014 when IV rehydration was still legal.

I much rather the Siver fight that was suppose to be Penn's return fight. I think he is taking the wrong route ( again ) in facing someone so highly ranked. I think the much better route would have been for him to face Siver and then Lentz then who-ever if gets past those two. I'm not counting him out yet and still think at those odds it's hard not to include him in a just for fun parlay.

As for Alvarez/Conor ... what you say may be true but the same could be said for Conor who lost and had a fight that could of went either way against Nate Diaz. I believe the reason the lines are the way they are is because Conor is the much more popular fighter and fans that bet ... like to place money on who they support.

No surprise that Conor is "bigger" then Alvarez. He is a big guy for the FW division and body wise is more suited for LW imo.

Yeah no argument, the odds as they currently stand are being skewed a bit by casual money on Conor.

I'm OK with him being favourite, and I'd definitely take him if he gets to underdog odds, but I don't think he's quite as big a favourite as the current odds suggest.

Bisping is possibly my favourite fighter in the UFC and has been since he first walked into the TUF house.

Really hope he gets the win this weekend and I think he will do it in style.

I think this is gonna be a terribly sad looking fight and Bisping is gonna make Henderson look every bit of his 46 years.

Don't think it's a very good card overall, I'll likely have a few bets on it but I won't be watching. Couldn't care less about seeing Vitor or Stefan Struve or guys like that fight.

Another fighter threatening to leave the UFC ...

OMG LOL

Like I've said before, I'm a huge Khabib fan, but he's got even less leverage than Aldo here... and Aldo has none.

His only options are retire or fight out his contract with the UFC and then try his luck in free agency. He can't just "leave" the UFC.

Do you have UFC fight club membership??

No, there's not much point spending the money on it with them hosting so few events in the UK with regards to getting pre-sale tickets at least. People are still selling tickets but wanting like £200+ per ticket for pretty poor seats.

I suppose it down to personal opinion but I think FightClub is well worth the 70 something dollars that it costs even if you're only signing up to get tickets for a single event. Its a cheap price to pay for guaranteed tickets.

I knew tickets for the last event in Dublin would sell out within a few minutes of going on general sale so i didn't mind shelling out for it. For Belfast in november though, I wasn't too bothered so I waited for the newsletter presale as my fightclub membership had expired.

If it wasn't for a family commitment I would have been heading to Manchester and I would definitely have signed up for FightClub again.

A lot of guys I know share the subscription price between a group too, reducing the cost.

I did consider it but I honestly didn't expect it to sell out quite as quick as six minutes haha! Apparently a lot of tickets have been touted too which is unfortunate but what can you do!

Open workouts were fun! Lots of love for Hendo aswell as Bisping! As much as I want bisping to defend the title I really don't want a legend like Dan Henderson to bow out with a devastating loss. Hope it's a competitive fight over 2/3 rounds but you can't wish for everything! Either way whoever gets the win will be cheered for sure!

Interestingly though Hendo didn't do any workout at all, just answered a few questions from media/fans and then left, hope he hasn't picked up an injury or anything.

Heard about Samman earlier too, devastating news.

RIP

There is still a good chance he is. Take a look at the UFC website. Cormier-Rumble 2 is listed as the co-main event. What bigger fight could they put on above that besides a GSP return ... less likely but Ronda's return ....
Heavy Weight Title fight ..

LOL - hadn't seen they were officially billing it as the co-main event. That all but confirms GSP's return IMO.

Against Nick Diaz perhaps? It obviously won't be for the welterweight title.

Well this is interesting ....

Philippines Government Was To Drug Test ALL UFC Employees, Prompting Card Cancellation

It was revealed that fighters would be forced to provide a blood sample for recreational drugs along with the regular in-fight testing executed on fight night.

Amidst the news of cancellations, it was later found out that it wasn’t just the fighters that would have been tested for recreational drugs, but every single employee making the trip to the Philippines. This includes the stagehands that set up the octagon, the production crew, and backstage crew.
