I wouldn't laugh too hard - one of the other things GSP has been saying is that if he does come back he wants it to be for superfights, not to have another run at the belt. Which again reinforces the idea that this is all about the money for him, and all power to him for that.

But if that's his mindset, well... McGregor is the king of the moneyweight fighters right now, so if GSP comes back I'd say there's a pretty solid chance he ends up fighting McGregor. Maybe we finally see the Silva fight, I don't know.

As for how he'd do against the rest of the division? I suspect he'd still run through the bottom half of the rankings with relative ease, and he's obviously not about to fight Rory any time soon. He's beat Condit before.

Lawler would be a very interesting fight, if GSP came back even close to his prime form I suspect he'd probably outwork Lawler, he'd just have to avoid getting knocked out. A fight with Maia would be fascinating too, as would one with Wonderboy or Woodley (each in different ways).

As above though, if he even comes back I suspect those aren't the kind of fights we're going to see. I'm guessing we'd more likely see Silva, McGregor, either Diaz brother,

I suspect G.S.P. would be champ again if he wanted. He would UD Lawler imo. Lawler has a chance with getting the KO. But I would put GSP as the favourite.

Regardless I don't think GSP will be coming back for the belt. I don't think he wants the pressure / responsibility of having it or the media obligations that come with it. It will be for "super fights" that he is almost certain he can win. Like against Conor. Or Super fights that won't tarnish his legacy if he losses ( Anderson ). If Nate beats Conor again and is willing to accept a fight with GSP ( Nate said before he wouldn't ) I can see that fight being another one he would come back for.

All that being said I think GSP vs Nate / Conor is just a money grab and an easy win for GSP and almost seems like a joke that these fights are possible but they are.

It's already scheduled to headline 200. So unless there is an injury, it's going to happen.

Anyone watch the UFC Fight Night? Glover was looking pretty good in that fight. Rashad has to move down to 185 or retire. He got clipped hard in that first round. He didn't even know what hit him :(

I Think Glover Want to Fight with Rumble :D (Rumble recovery from sugery now to his mouth ) (no fight vs Jon Jones now)

Good fight Last Week for JDS "Super kick to the Body" vs Rothwell

Everyone wants to see Rumble vs Jones. I think he is the only one who has a chance (maybe Cormier too)

My bet is this is a negotiation tactic.

Note that Dana says he's pulled McGregor from UFC200 for not attending the press conference in Vegas this week. If he actually believed McGregor was done and retiring he'd say he was pulling him for that reason, and he wouldn't still be referring to him as the featherweight champion... at the very least Dana is trying to hedge his bets here. Will put McGregor back in that headlining spot in a heartbeat if they can come to an agreement.

This shit is weird. I mean the deal should have been finalized before it was announced that they would fight at 200. Doesn't make any sense that they would still be negotiating.

Sil3ntness,

If you don't mind me asking, are you still in Korea? I play at WH in Seoul. I was told yesterday, that they are hoping to start tournaments back up at the end of this month. (I was just wondering if any CC members are here with me in the Land of the Morning Calm)

You've forgotten the other option: move to Bellator and take freakshow fights against other UFC washouts and old-timers!

Seriously though Evans is obviously done as any kind of contender. He doesn't have the skills or the chin to hang with the best in the division these days. And disclaimer, I don't consider Glover one of the best in the division.

I think Rashad time at the top has past. I like to see the guy take some interesting match ups and not try to make a run for the UFC belt. Going to Bellator were he has a good chance at becoming the champion is another option also. He seemed broken up in a post-fight interview I watched. He was a beast around the time he fought Tito.

Dana is Dr. Frankenstein. He created the monster so he cannot complain about anything.

Like Ben Henderson said:
If you raise your children a certain way, they’re going to act a certain way, If you allow them to get away with certain things when they get older, they’re going to act a certain way. It’s what happened. Conor McGregor is acting a certain way because he was allowed to for much of his career, and it is what it is.

Lol. I knew he was not going to retire. And he sounds like a hypocrite. Complaining about promoting the fight. WTF. Acting like a monkey made him a star. He needs this hype to stay relevant. Keep dancing, and don't look at me in the eye when you dance, you idiot. It sounds like an excuse. He got owned by Diaz and he is blaming the UFC.

I don't think ANYONE thought he was actually going to retire. He's just looking for some $$s or to be able to not travel to do every silly interview that wants a piece of him.

UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedovn claims the UFC asked him to fight at UFC 200 against Nate Diaz or G.S.P.

Possible G.S.P. vs. Nate for UFC 200 ?

http://www.bjpenn.com/mma-news/geor...ight-offered-fight-georges-st-pierre-ufc-200/

“Yesterday the UFC called me with a proposal to hold the main bout of the evening against Nate Diaz, or against Georges St-Pierre,” Khabib said during a live interview on Match TV (transcribed by Bloody Elbow). “They hope that I will take the fight. But it is four days after the month of Ramadan, and it would be hard physically to fight five rounds. I’ll be back in September and October.”

Yeah I'm still in Korea, but I don't play LIVE though. Just online at the moment.

I bet on Barboza! Love it! (have him in a few parlays too)

Yeah, I thought he was the only underdog worth taking last night as well.

How about Yair Rodrigez and that Van Damme style finishing kick! He's fun to watch.

Yeah, he's always fun to watch, as well as Fili. Was looking forward to their fight and it was a very good one.

Liked most of the fights... Mighty Mouse is amazing and I always enjoy watching him fight, was looking forward more to his fight than Jones'.

Yeah, Johnson is amazing but the only problem is that he's got no competition.
