Dada's heart apparently stopped or failed, thats why he fell down. They had to jump start it from what I heard.

Also they don't test for roids in Texas, so its interesting

Yeah, I was reading up on issues he was having. Say what you want about the fight ( I enjoyed it ) but the guy never gave up. He gave 100 % of what he had in him.

I give him props for that.

149 was Bellator's best show ever in terms of viewer numbers, new highest average and more than triple their usual numbers. So I guess they'll think people want to see more of this kind of insanity...

http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/2/22/11095446/bellator-149-delivers-record-ratings

*sigh*

The thing is people do want to see that kind of insanity. Numbers don't lie.

Even most that claim they don't like watching these type of fights still tune in. I hope they keep going with this route. One "freak show" fight on every other card or a "legends match". This is their niche and will bring in the most ratings that they can get.

Sure, I get that. But if the Dada 5000 farce has taught us anything it's that there are some people (specifically old people with questionable training and conditioning) that just shouldn't be doing competitive MMA at all - let alone on international television. Somebody stands a real chance of dying if they keep putting on these kind of matches.

So mad.... as you all may have found out

Dos Anjos pulled out of the Conor fight... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I was really looking forward to that.

Jose Aldo should 110% move up to 155 and get a rematch...

if not Nate Diaz would be exciting... but really Aldo should fight again, esp after that 1 punch fight...

Stayed up Saturday night (UK) to watch Bellator? Really wish I hadn't. What the hell was kimbo and Dada doing exactly? Did they do their training in KFC? I think that's the worst fight ever in history, totally embarrassing, I liked John McCarthy's quote of ' Oh no I think this is going to round 3' terrible evening, Bellator has alot of making up to do to it's fans after that shambles.

Frankie for the 145 title as the replacement bout makes the most sense in my mind, but it's likely impossible from a preparation standpoint for both fighters.

The next-best option is probably pulling McGregor from the card altogether and moving his next fight to UFC 200, for either the featherweight or lightweight strap.

If they give him another opponent at lightweight it's pretty much got to be someone he'll be a huge favourite to beat. I guess he's proven before that the constraints of mere mortals don't apply to him, but surely if he took a non-title fight at lightweight and lost they'd have a hard time getting him matched back up against Dos Anjos for the belt any time soon...

The Diaz fight will be at 170 so it could be interesting to see Conor come in as the smaller fighter. Even at 170 though, I just don't think Nate has the chops to beat him but the trash talk will certainly be at an all time high.

McGregor vs one of the Diaz brothers...

NnoGhN1.gif

Nate Diaz will win in the 3rd Round (TKO) via middle finger and explicit language.

Edgar was offered the match but he has a pulled groin. Aldo was offered also but wasn't ready.

I believe this Conor vs Nate fight is the one that should have been made to begin with to introduce Conor to a higher weight class. This is a blessing in disguise for Conor.

Conor will win easily I think but it will be probably more of an exciting build up than RDA would have been!

Very interesting match up. I`m curious to watch Conor without the reach advantage and against a BJJ black belt under a Gracie.

Anyone watched Fight Night 84?

I know a lot of people like Anderson Silva, but I just can't stand the guy, one of the fighters I dislike the most. I'm so glad Bisping beat him... Anderson Silva's moment was that knee 1 second before the end of round 3 (which Bisping was winning as he also won round 1 and 2) and it was a controversial moment, not that if wasn't legal, but Bisping was distracted talking to Herb Dean. And how sad Anderson acting like he won the fight, for so long, like he didn't understand the round ended, it seemed to me he was trying to convince the UFC the fight was over and he had won it. No way he didn't know what was going on for so long... sad and pathetic acting. Bisping fought way better that Silva, he deserved to win, and if it wasn't for that last moment in round 3 (due to Bisping being distracted about his mouthpiece), Bisping would have either knocked Silva out or had gone to win all rounds.

Yeh it was bizarre.

I think the knee was sort of lame considering you could tell he was distracted.

I am ready to see Stephen Thompson's next fight. I think if Conor wins (and I am not thinking he will dominate as easily as people think) He will never fight again @ 145.... might even skip 155 and go to Lawler @ ufc 200.

I actually think he is somewhat scared of Dos Anjos... and lawler would be an easier match up against.

Bisping deserved that win. I don't fault Anderson for the knee. Bisping should have known better than to take his eyes off Anderson. Saved by the bell.

I'm gonna say something blasphemous here...

...Nate Diaz is terrible on the mic pre-fight.

I love his taunting in the ring. I love the post-fight stream-of-consciousness rants. But pre-fight, in the press conferences, at the face offs? Terrible. I can't understand for the life of me why everyone is talking up his "epic trash talking game". He just mumbles nothings.

He had some good one liners and got under Conor's skin so much Conor end up swinging a punch at Diaz hand, during the square off after the presser. I thought Conor won the war of words but Diaz done better in that regard than anyone before him.

Placed a fun parlay bet on tonight's and upcoming fights $20 to win $1660

San Jose
Holly Holm - Miesha Tate - Under 3,5 Rounds
Diaz
Hunt
Rothwell
Evans
Jones

Diaz is a long shot. But I don't feel as he is as big of an underdog as the lines say. Diaz can get this win. I got him at 4.50.

sigh... lost a few decent parlays on the Sanchez fight. Guess I was sure he was going to lose. And I think the last 3x I bet on that guy to win, he lost.

I've got a couple parlays left with one decent one..
$50 to win $3,217 & with only 1 fight left 'but' I need NATE to win it!

Go Nate Go!!!

The only thing Conner forgot was that Nate Diaz doesn't quit when he gets hurt.
