Umm, this could be the coolest thing I have ever heard. Sounds ridiculously dangerous though?? Sounds like a good way for a guy to get cheap shotted and seriously injured.
Some crazy-ass fights tonight. Hated to see DC win but it was obvious Rumble's cardio still sucks as bad as ever and that DC can take a PUNCH! Loved him telling the kids of the world not to quit about 2 minutes after he tapped. Lol.
I was a little disappointed that the Brown Arlovsky fight didn't make a 2nd round since the 1st one was pretty damn awesome.
wow. Vitor looked pretty bad. Weidman is good but he won with so much ease that Vitor didn`t look like a BJJ black belt under Carlson Gracie.
I think Weidman is a lot better than a lot of people think. Who else does he has to beat to prove how good and powerful he is?wow. Vitor looked pretty bad. Weidman is good but he won with so much ease that Vitor didn`t look like a BJJ black belt under Carlson Gracie.
Agreed... I think someone made the comment somewhere that they were looking at a supposed BJJ black belt trying to punch their way out of mount
This kind of goes to a point I was making some time ago about the upcoming Aldo v McGregor fight too: a lot of people were/are saying that Aldo would be smart to take the fight to the ground, and that he'd have a massive advantage there, on account of being a BJJ black belt.
My thoughts were that one, it's probably not smart to assume that McGregor is completely helpless on the ground, but more importantly two, there are black belts and there are black belts. Some of them obviously spend a lot of time honing their skills on the ground, while others got the belt then focused primarily on their stand up. For example, both Vitor and Jacare are BJJ black belts... but send the fight to the ground, and my money is on Jacare every single time I think Aldo is much closer to the Vitor side of things than the Jacare side.
