This is going to be pure excitement! I can't wait to watch it!

Is it just me, or does Cormier sound like kind of a headcase? :p

http://fightland.vice.com/blog/do-not-tell-daniel-cormier-how-to-cut-weight

HaHa

Well the comments about 10 or 11 guys all cutting weight & fighting, his masseuse fighting against his strength coach & the comment about Steven Seagal kicking Rockhold's ass sure do make me wonder where that guy's head is at hahaha

He's always been like that though. If you've watched him when he does pre or post fight analysis or during UFC Tonight etc., he's always a little bit whacky

If Daniel Cormier wins the belt... ugh

I hope Anthony Johnson wins, it would be more exciting for the sport. If Daniel Cormier wins everyone will know him as the guy that got manhandled by the "real" champ Jon Jones. That's if Jones ever comes back to MMA LOL.

Umm, this could be the coolest thing I have ever heard. Sounds ridiculously dangerous though?? Sounds like a good way for a guy to get cheap shotted and seriously injured.

I saw some footage of some European five-on-five MMA bout some time back, and it was awful to watch. Like, disturbing awful. Just descended really quickly into two-on-one, three-on-one, until it was just five guys kicking the hell out of their last opponent. Ugly.

Some crazy-ass fights tonight. Hated to see DC win but it was obvious Rumble's cardio still sucks as bad as ever and that DC can take a PUNCH! Loved him telling the kids of the world not to quit about 2 minutes after he tapped. Lol.

I was a little disappointed that the Brown Arlovsky fight didn't make a 2nd round since the 1st one was pretty damn awesome.

Yeah that was hilarious when he said "Don't give up". DC even joked and said that Rumble easily gives up leading up to the fight.

wow. Vitor looked pretty bad. Weidman is good but he won with so much ease that Vitor didn`t look like a BJJ black belt under Carlson Gracie.

Agreed... I think someone made the comment somewhere that they were looking at a supposed BJJ black belt trying to punch their way out of mount :p

This kind of goes to a point I was making some time ago about the upcoming Aldo v McGregor fight too: a lot of people were/are saying that Aldo would be smart to take the fight to the ground, and that he'd have a massive advantage there, on account of being a BJJ black belt.

My thoughts were that one, it's probably not smart to assume that McGregor is completely helpless on the ground, but more importantly two, there are black belts and there are black belts. Some of them obviously spend a lot of time honing their skills on the ground, while others got the belt then focused primarily on their stand up. For example, both Vitor and Jacare are BJJ black belts... but send the fight to the ground, and my money is on Jacare every single time :p I think Aldo is much closer to the Vitor side of things than the Jacare side.

Those were some good fights. Rumble can hit hard but everyone already knew that. What surprised me was "The Pitbull" winning. I don't see him doing well against hard hitters unless he gets it on them first and finishes. It will be interesting to see who the UFC matches him up with.

I think Weidman is a lot better than a lot of people think. Who else does he has to beat to prove how good and powerful he is?

And this Main Card was amazing! Great fights!

Dude, u r comparing oranges and apples.

Aldo, Vitor, Weidman, Jacare are all bjj black belts.

Conor is a brown belt. So it is very accurate to say that he does have a disadvantage against a black belt if the fight goes to the ground.

Keep in mind that Weidman is not only a bjj black belt but a world class wrestler. So he has a advantage against Vitor on the ground.
