Who saw Paige Vazant destroy Herrig

UFC 186 Demetrius Johnson vs Kyoji Horiguchi. This is going to be a great fight I got Johnson by decision. Also Bisbing vs Dolloway should be a good one too, I dont like bisbing but I think he'll pull off a win

So Rampage is back on the card for this weekend, fighting Fabio Maldonado at a catchweight of 215 pounds.

Maldonado is a $3.50 underdog. Am I missing something, or should the odds be a bit closer than that? Maldonado is hardly an elite talent, but neither is Rampage at this stage of his career... Rampage still has power, but it's not like Maldonado has shown he has a bad chin (I'm gonna overlook his TKO loss in that squash match against Stipe Miocic at heavyweight).

I think I'm gonna have to go dig up some of his film.

Will look into the Dollaway-Bisping fight too, think Bisping might be starting to decline and there might be some value in Dollaway at $2.30ish.

I have no Idea who is going to win but I think you are correct about Bisping. I see a decline also.

As for Rampage-- I haven't watch many of his opponents fights. But I do feel the UFC gave him a match he is most likely to win. ( They didn't go through all that trouble to re-sign him to feed him to someone ) . He should get the win if he comes in shape. The 215 lb catch weight has me doubting that ... the odds you are posting look very tempting.

Jon Jones is in more trouble. Involved in a hit and run.

http://mmajunkie.com/2015/04/ufcs-j...in-hit-and-run-case-involving-pregnant-victim

Quote from the article -- There is also a statement from the UFC In the link

The crime is currently classified as a misdemeanor, but one witness places Jones at the scene. Police are still currently looking to get Jones’ side of the story, and no arrest warrant is currently planned to be issued. A summons will be issued, however, and Jones will have four weeks to show in court. Should he fail to appear in court, a warrant will be issued for his arrest

Jones stripped of title and suspended from the UFC. Johnson vs DC for the title at 187.

http://www.foxsports.com/ufc/story/...t-title-suspended-indefinitely-ufc-187-042815

I read about some people calling for Jones to be stripped. But I would have never guessed UFC would actually do it. I think it is the right move on the UFC's part.

Can't wait to watch Johnson vs DC .. I think DC gets the win here with his wrestling but this is a much more winnable fight for Johnson.

Holy hell - Rumble's gonna be champ!

Betting lines are up, Cormier $1.71 fave to Johnson at $2.27 on Pinnacle. I was gonna jump straight on Rumble at that price, but there seems to be a lot of people thinking this should be an easy win for DC. I think they're wrong so I'm gonna wait and expect Johnson's price to climb...

Yeah, I like Johnson too, but I don't think it will be easy. DC was set to fight a week later so it's not like he's going to be out of shape and they both have plenty of time to prep for each other. Suspending and stripping an undefeated champion is HUGE. Big black-eye for the sport.

Jon Jones had so much going for himself as an elite, skilled, & naturally gifted athlete. It's a damn shame that he can't stay out of trouble with the law. I always said he needs to be a role model. AT LEAST for his 3 daughters that look up to their father.

"Dad what's that white stuff? Cocaine?" Jones: "Nah that's fairy dust Carmen!" SMH

I hope Rumble beats DC. I'm just glad Dana and the UFC stripped Bones of his title. This shows that no one is above the UFC.

OMG. So the UFC has lost its three superstars.

Thats so f* up in so many ways.

I just don`t understand people having empathy towards Jones.

I hope that pregnant woman is ok now.

Agree it's a huge black eye for the sport. I've never understood the hate people have had in the past for Jones as a fighter - but as far as Jones the human being outside the cage goes, it's becoming pretty clear that the hate is justified...

Good points re: how DC matches up with Johnson - what I'm mostly counting on is:

- DC was preparing for Bader, a wrestler with negligible standup skills. Johnson is a whole other kettle of fish.

- I think Johnson has the takedown defense to stifle a lot of Cormier's wrestling (see his fight with Phil Davis, etc). Plus he was preparing to fight a taller, rangier guy with dangerous and diverse striking: now it's Johnson that will have a height and reach advantage, and Cormier doesn't have anything like Jones's striking arsenal. Plus DAT POWER of Rumble's :)

I'm getting a unit on Rumble now, just in case people end up thinking the same and pull the price down...

So I know I said this last time Mark Hunt fought and ended up being wrong, but...

Mark Hunt is $2.91 against Miocic this weekend. The man has bricks for fists, the benefit of the full training camp that he didn't have against Werdum, and home octagon advantage (if there is such a thing). Plus the bricks for fists thing again.

Anyone else maybe feel that Miocic's record is a little bit inflated and this should be a lot closer to even money?

There are soooo many things that have been posted, since I last commented ITT, that I want to reply to. Since I can't, I'll stick to (IMO) the most important ones.

Jones stripped of title and suspended from the UFC. Johnson vs DC for the title at 187.

http://www.foxsports.com/ufc/story/...t-title-suspended-indefinitely-ufc-187-042815

Good! I'm soooo glad. He's a pos in my eyes. The doping, the public fighting issues & now this. All that deserves one word...

Pathetic

I was pumped when I saw this fight announcement! Both uber worthy of the title.

I have my money on Rumble.

Hunt took a beating. The Man is tough. Fight should have been stopped earlier IMO. I thought he was going to get the KO .. like said above he has bricks for fist... his chin must be made of the same.

Ouch - that one was my fault I guess. Every time I actually put money on Hunt, it seems he takes a vicious beating

So glad to see more woman in the UFC. I personally think most of the woman fighters put on a better show than the men. I must say tho, that the Miocic vs Hunt was an good fight between two tough fighters. It was almost too much to watch the beating Hunt took, kudos to him for lasting until the end.

How come nobody in the UFC throws the towel when taking a beating like that?

I like MMA but that was terrible.

if I`m a trainer amd i`m watching my fighter getting killed, I MUST stop the fight.

I guess they don't want to give up on the hope of their guy coming back with a miracle KO... though at some point when the other guy is scoring takedowns pretty much at will and throwing unanswered shot after unanswered shot, they really should be giving up on that hope and throwing in the towel.

As an aside, I just learned that it's actually a foul to literally throw in the towel: the cornerpeople are instead supposed to go up to the inspectors cageside, who will then instruct the referee to stop the fight...

http://www.bjpenn.com/keith-kizer-explains-why-throwing-in-the-towel-is-a-foul-for-nsac/

And yeah, I'm picking Edgar this weekend too. Disappointed his price is so low though, don't think there much point betting him around the $1.25 mark :(

It must have been stopped about 10 minutes earlier than it was! I could not believe why it kept on going and going.

I hope Frankie Edgar wins... I liked Urijah Faber up until his last fight, what he did was a disgrace, IMO.

I can't choose between Edgar and Faber. They're both cool in my book.
