anyone watching the fights?

I watched those fights since I love playing on DK and bet some of the fights. Thought overall it was a good card although some of the judging was questionable but what else is new with MMA. Looking forward to the next one.

I watched all 3 events this week. Man, there were some good fights. It's the best sport in the world if you ask me.

UFC 250 main card consisted of the Women's Featherweight title fight, a 170 lb fight and three (3) 135 lb fights. I heard and read some people were less than excited about this event, but... OMG! Were they wrong in feeling that way!

I enjoyed all of the fights, especially the 135 lb fights. For as long as they all lasted they were excited from the starting bell until the end, and all of them had great finishes.

Next PPV, UFC 251, looks very promising. Safe to say it'll be a great night of fights.

This island in Abu Dhabi for the fights is something crazy. And Stipe vs Cormier III now all I want to see is Jon Jones go to heavyweight and take out Ngannou and finish off his incredible legacy by taking that heavyweight belt. We are about to have some incredible fights on our hands this coming year by the looks of it.

Guess we´ll have to wait if that Jones vs Ngannou fight ever happens. And BTW, I think Ngannou would win that one, don't think Jones would last long against him.

In fact he struggled big time against Santos (who even got injured early on in that fight) and Reyes, and a lot of people feel like he lost at least one of those fights if not both (I'm one of those people :)).

Today's Main Card should be fun to watch with Derrick Lewis vs Aleksei Oleinik being the main event.

The co-main event will be Omari Akhmedov vs Chris Weidman, who went down to middleweight again (he had no business going to light heavyweight, especially because he looked like all the gain in weight was only fat and no muscle). I hope Weidman is in shape for this one, really needs it. At least he looked in shape for the weight in.

Also the first fight of the main card looks promising: Dariush vs Holtzman.

Will be watching today's fights tomorrow.

Placed a small bet on Michelle Waterson. She is a slight underdog (at least she was at the time I placed my bet which was a couple of days ago - have no idea what are the odds for this fight right now). I did so because I think she should be the favorite and probably will win against Angela Hill.

I bet on Angela Hill. I thought she looked great in her last fight.

It was a close fight... some thought it should've gone the other way. I think the decision was correct with the Karate hottie winning the fight. (I'd still pick Angela if they were to fight again). Hopefully Angela can learn more from this fight as I believe she needs to add more to her arsenal (ie. the threat of takedowns for example... maybe leg kicks.. calf kicks.... something... )

It was a great fight and like you mentioned, close as well!

Angela was doing great until she throw a kick in the 3rd and Michelle grabbed her leg and was able to take her down (finally).

I think Angela's corner did a terrible job between the 4th and 5th round. He told her she was doing great and to have fun (paraphrasing) and he was so calmed I thought it was crazy, especially after losing the 3rd and 4th rounds. If I had just started watching the fight right at that moment, for sure would have thought Angela had won all 4 rounds.

I believe that if her corner would have told her it was down to that last round (since Angela won the first couple of rounds and Michelle the other two), and showed a sense of urgency and the need to win the last round, she would have won the fight. She was, after all, the fresher fighter, Michelle looked tired. She could have fight going forward and pressure Michelle and she wouldn't have been able to deal with her, especially because of how tire she was. Instead she fought relaxed (except for the last few seconds of the round) and allowed Michelle to dictate the pace.

I placed a bet on Paulo Costa against Israel Adesanya. I think anyone can win TBH, but since Adesanya is a clear favorite it seemed like a good bet.

And also Adesanya likes to fight at distance and avoids exchanges, especially against a bigger fighter (which Costa clearly is). So, I believe Costa, who likes to put pressure from the get going and is quite powerful, can get the win with a knockout.

I don't think Israel will be able to avoid Costa like he did with Yoel Romero, since the latter didn't put any real pressure on him.

BTW, I'm looking forward to this event, it has some very promising fights.

Well, needless to say this fight did not go the way I expected, not even close.

Irish mixed martial artist (MMA) Conor McGregor shared his opinion about the best representatives of his sport. He wrote about this on Twitter. McGregor believes that the best MMA fighter in history should be considered the Brazilian Anderson Silva. The Irishman placed himself in second place in his own rating.

Khabib Justin is coming fast this month - 26th
Anyone giving Justin a shot? Or will it be the usual from Khabib - absolutely exhaust his opponent on the ground before taking him out in later rounds?

Hope Justin does well and same for Khabib after losing his Dad
(If Khabib wins Dana says we'll be getting Ferg Khabib - ((the cursed fight, what will this be the 6th time it's been booked?)) )

Idk its a tough call.. khabibs been sitting out awhile due to the family matters n such but i also know hes still been training,.. on the other hand justin has been on the hunt for awhile now... hes got the thirst for it.. I cant decide myself lol..

I hope it's close and Justin has the stamina and strength to prevent getting pinned to the canvas and pummelled.
I fear Khabib wears him down like he does everyone.
True, Justin has that knock out power and a background in wrestling but we talked about McGregor's k.o power before his fight with Khabib and how did that fight go.

I just want a competitive exciting fight. 4 or 5 rounds.
It will be on at a different time, maincard starts at 7pm UK time.
