Cowboy is a slow starter and Conor is a fast starter.

I read a few articles saying that Cowboy ended up with a broken orbital bone.

I'm a longtime UFC fan, but I've never been to a fight card.

That will change in March, since I just got my ticket for UFC Columbus in March! I was able to get tickets with my friends, 1 day before the public can get them. Thank you UFC for emailing me the early bird code. I'm super pumped to see how awesome MMA is in person!

Dana White is pressuring for the Conor vs Khabib rematch, which makes a lot of sense considering how profitable their first match was, but I doubt that Khabib is interested in it.
I personally believe the McGregor vs Masvidal can be a more interesting, entertaining and close matchup.
McGregor has gone to welterweight many times and can do it again for such a fight.

I think that Conor should fight the winner of Khabib vs Tony. I think while the Conor vs Masvidal would be entertaining, its probably not the money maker that Conor vs Khabib or Tony would be.

Conor vs. Masvidal is more appealing to me and a much more winnable fight for Conor. It would likely be for the BMF belt so its a mactch thats likely appealing to Conor.

If he beats Masvidal, a Khabib title figtht would be that much more interesting. If he were to lose he can fall back on the Diaz trilogy, likely get the win and then face Khabib.

That was a great fight between Jones and Reyes.
Exceptional showcasing of stamina, great strikes, powerful kicks back and forth by both.
Very close fight, could have gone either way.
Too bad it was left to the hands of those judges which made a very controversial score decision on the winner.

I also think Reyes won rounds 1, 2, and 3, but with those crazy boxing judges not even watching the fight anything could happen.

I can't see Reyes losing the second round, he clearly won it. And yet two of the judges gave it to Jon Jones. Going into the 5th round, two of the judges had the fight 2 rounds to each fighter and the other judge 3-1 for Jones. For me, Reyes was clearly winning the fight, 3 rounds to 1. The fact that Jones won the fight unanimously is just proof that if you are facing Jon Jones, you have to either knock him out or submit him in order to win... or give him a beating in every round.

jones probably lost that fight but when its close like that there gonna give it to the champ every time.. so yea dont leave it in the judes hands!! ..

great fight..Reyes won.Judge system must change

I think the current system is ok, the judges just need to learn what they are watching or at least start watching the fights. They did a horrible job all night long.

I had Reyes winning, Jones looked tentative to me and not his usual self. I think JJ has a better showing in the their rematch (whenever that might be).

Fight was amazing, i had Reyes winning the fight the whole way through, but i guess to be the chap you really have to beat the champ, Great fight all in all,

After his fight with Reyes, the right thing he could have done was say he was going to gim him a rematch right away. That's what a good champion would have done, IMO. Instead he's avoiding a rematch with Reyes. Just check out what he posted in his Twitter account:

UFC Fight Night Auckland main event was Paul Felder vs Dan Hooker. Great fight, amazing 5 rounds. Now, I have to say that, as happened with the Jon Jones vs Reyes fight, I disagree with the result. I saw Felder won that fight, no doubt in my mind, and yet the decision was for Hooker. At least it was a split decision, but still, it bothers me. These guys and gals put everything on the line in their fights and the least they should expect is a fair and balanced judging.

I saw Hooker winning the first round and Felder winning rounds 2, 4 and 5. The third round was the closest round and could have gone either way. So, I had the fight for Felder either 48-47 or 49-46.

Now, look at the scorecards, the only rounds they all agree on are the first and fourth  :

Yesterday's main event at UFC Fight Night 169 was Benavidez vs Figueiredo.

These guys are flyweights, 125 lb division and for some reason they fought kind of like if they were heavyweights, and by that I mean they were throwing bombs at each other. It was a matter of time before one of them would get a knockout. And what a knockout that was! Figueiredo put his whole bodyweight into that punch and it was fight over for Benavidez.

I always enjoy watching flyweights and bantamweights fight, and this fight in particular delivered big time.

poor fight strategy choices there for Benavidez imo :( .. I had bet's' on him last night. (also had some bets on Felder... that was painful).
So when you bet on a UFC fight, not only do you have to try to pick the winner but you also have to consider if the judges will also being doing the same LOL. Pathetic!

Did you hear Bisping during the fight? He was pointing out that the one judge wasn't even watching the fight.... and then that the one judge was continually talking to the other, & pulling his attention (& view) from the fight as well. I am really glad he was pointing this out. Something needs to be done about this. Sure some of these fights have been close lately but there's been some that are just completely insane!
They should be tested regularly. Get 5 judges per fight instead of 3. If they're caught looking elsewhere while the fight is in progress, FINE them & Fire them. (& then let some of the fighters warm up on them... or put them out in the alley with one of the guys who they made the sh1tty decision against). Doubt they'd look away then. lol

While I definitely understand the frustration, I think the only way to treat this is like bad beats and suckouts in poker.

You can't predict ahead of time which way a "bad" decision is going to go. Sometimes the judges will get it wrong and it'll cost you a bet. Other times though, they'll get it wrong and you'll win a bet you probably should have lost. I rarely bet MMA any more, but I've definitely had my fair share of both when I was actively betting it.

Swings and roundabouts.

Bisping was saying this during a prior card to Saturday, right?
I can't believe that the judges can talk to each other during a fight. Aside from obvious possible contamination of their judging, I have always assumed that judges were spaced equidistant around the "ring" (octagon in this case) in order to have a full and varied view of the action. I have always given the judges the benefit of the doubt when it comes to weird scores like 29-28, 29-28, 27-30 - I wrote it off to "viewing angle". If they are all watching from the same angle, why not just give them a bank of monitors?

It wasn't my bets I was upset about losing.. it was about seeing what the fighter is experiencing.
