Fairly disappointing to see that they are following ACRs lead and not work with old windows 7 and 8 like what all my computers have in them (all of which work just fine except for that). October is when this is supposed to happen.

I mentioned it to you previously in another post here on Cardschat - - although your computers are currently working just fine, you will run into problems with them come 2025. Any computer with Intel CPU prior to 8th generation (I believe it's 8th gen.) will no longer work with updates with Win11.

I am currently using two computers that both have 4th gen. CPU's (an i5-4670 and an i7-4790). They were both excellent CPU's for their time & currently I'm still able to play 12+ tournaments on 4 different poker sites at the same time while having two Twitch streamers playing, and Youtube, Facebook, emails, and PokerTracker4 without any difficulties. But soon this won't be the case (currently Intel is on 14th gen., 4th gen. are 10years old).

It sucks but you can probably look around on Facebook marketplace and find a computer with an 8th gen. Intel CPU in it for relatively cheap (or build a computer with older, used parts).

I previously said in one of my posts that the current management of PokerStars will lead to it losing its popularity and value among other poker rooms if it continues to be managed in this stupid manner.
It will be a stupid way for you. Maybe you want to play free tournaments all your life. If you don't like risking your money, don't play poker. Many people have been saying for a long time that pokerstars this, pokerstars that, but nevertheless I do not see that any other room surpasses it in users, at least in the rooms that I have seen like 888 poker u acr. Anyway, I don't think pokerstars misses players like you who have been playing poker for years and are still waiting for free tournaments.

By removing the freerolls totally is a sign that they do not care of the recs, and the recs are mostly the ones that deposit more often, then how will they deposit if there are no freerolls? Im not talking of foolish freebuy satellites they offer, i mean tournaments paying cash.

they don't have forum freerolls, the daily spin the wheel never gives me anything and the freeroll satalites aren't that great, basically...I'm not a fan

I think it's hard to win big money there, these tournaments are full of bots and regulars. They changed their concept and got rid of freerolls.Very few people play there in the plus, I was constantly being drained on the river, so I don’t play there for money.

Dose anyone like the direction poker stars has taken?
The current situation is terrible. I don't remember in the last 8 years that I've been playing poker that PokerStars was in such a terrible state as it is now. If things continue like this, I think we will hear news of some kind of deal or acquisition in the near future.

Stars has a lot of restrictions, removed many games, stopped money freerolls, etc. It`s too difficult to play. At the beginning everything was simple and clear.

Of all the poker sites that are popular today and the ones I play on, Pokerstars has the EASIEST lobby to navigate of all of them. The tournament filters are very easy to set up (& decipher). I find its incredibly easy to play! It's also incredibly easy to deposit and withdrawal one's money.

I disagree. But I think we don't see 'recs.' as being the same thing. I see that as 'recreational players', those who play for recreation (as opposed to those who are attempting to play to earn a living). When I think of 'recreational player' I don't group that into the same category as 'freeroller'.
I think the sites would be wise to offer up Depositor Freerolls with something like a min. deposit needing to be made ALONG with a certain amount of rake being paid to qualify for it.
Personally I think Freerollers who are there always for the handouts and who aren't depositing on the sites are a cancer to the sites. Many years ago this model served well to advertise the sites, to have new players get their feet wet and get playing in some games (by using the money they'd just won in the freeroll). BUt these days I think a large percentage of the freerollers are just pulling the money off of the sites so I'm wondering how does that actually benefit ANYONE ... the recs., regs., or the poker site? hint: It doesn't.

I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion that the rec freerollers are the one who are the ones that deposit more often. I'd suggest that they rarely deposit ever and only do so to be able to withdraw their freeroll winnings.

That wont be good at all if thats how it is. I agree with you that the site has to offer depositor freerolls, that will run everyday for people to deposit everyday. Not just cancelling freerolls like they did. I see there are some freerolls that require tickets, i guess its for the new players, but it should be for everyone who has deposited in that week, if not, the numbers will continue to decline. As for me, i used to love ps because it allowed freerolls from cc and other forums, but since they decided to stop, i rarely play at ps. Their reward system is worse, its not for the micro players, how will i get 2000 points in a month to win a chest? Thats definitely for those who has a bigger bankroll.

I think it's pretty good and I feel fortunate to be able to play on there.
This past couple weeks I was able to participate in their chests & ladders promo (rake $3/day to get a spin of the dice to climb the ladder). I managed to get 5x $11 WCOOP tickets in it & won ~$100 playing only at 10nl. SO far I've used 3 of the tickets & with two of them I've managed deep runs, picking up over $500 in the two cashes.

I only wish I could've played A LOT more on Stars this month... there's some excellent tournaments running on there right now! Where else can you play 2-7 Triple Draw $22 buyin MTT with over $10k prizepool? Or Stud Hi, Razz, Stud 8, PLO, even 5cd draw ffs. I'll tell you where... NO WHERE! Stars tournament series are more like the real deal imo... the newer sites are mostly NLHE.
I get on my knees 5 times a day, praying Pokerstars will be back in the netherlands soon, and not only for the fact I can play Razz, Badugi,2-7 and O8 there.
I always liked their platform , navigation, filters and layout.
I'm convicted to playing at GGpoker and I really feel nailed about that.....shitty platform and very restricted game offer.

I find it amazing that so many posters expect a poker site to give them money by putting on freerolls. I like poker stars because they run single tables, unlike 888. And I'm happy to pay money to play. I've been with them for 15 years, after starting with Littlewoods and Victor Chandler (both of whom dropped out), so yes, I feel a little loyalty to them, especially since they took over my Full Tilt account, and in fact my Poker Stars avatar is my old Full Tilt avatar! Why should I expect them to give me freerolls?

I dislike most freerolls - they get players into bad habits - calling when they should fold and playing stupid all-ins. Sure I go in the occasional Cards Chat freeroll, where I find that players are, on the whole, playing sensible poker.

Of all the sites I have played on - Littlewoods, Victor Chandler, Sky, bwin and Full Tilt, Poker Stars is better, even though I agree that paying out $3.78 after taking in $4.50 (single nine-man table paying 50c) is taking a rather big rake.

Stars is becoming a casualty of online poker terrible incentives to play there and a player count that seems to dwindle more by the day.. they had a good run

You can complain, but PokerStars still has more game types to choose from than other poker rooms.

I agree the Reward system is not the greatest when there's no special promos happening but this past 2 weeks they had that 'Chests & Ladders' promo. I finished mine in just over 1 week, won 4 (or 5?) $11 WCOOP Tickets from it, and $10.50 from a Rewards Chest.
I can play micros on Stars and am able to pick up 2,000 points in 1 day (that's just 10nl)
I don't play on Stars for their Rewards though & I don't play on there much at all really but I still play on there a bit and I still enjoy the site. Pokerstars is the only site where a player can play most of the Mixed Games and can do so on a daily basis. This month has been especially good for them! (WCOOP)

The current situation is such that I personally rarely play there. In my opinion, everything used to be much better and more promising.
