Need some PP Newbie Advice

I just finished Ladies Weekly Special #23 which gave me an $11 Online Satellite Ticket. I am newer to online poker and very new to party poker. It says I have 48 tournament options to use ticket when I clicked on ticket, but I'm not sure best way to use it as I don't really play satellites. I would like easiest way to get to make some money from it, not necessarily the way to make most money from it.

Can anyone help with suggestions what to do? :)

Hi

When you go into My Account - My ticket the ticket will show available options for use
Or in the lobby, you will see a small ticket icon next to relevant games
Check under Satellites
It will have a 3-day expiry
I would suggest you use it for the generic sats with the aim to win a higher value ticket

Im not sure if this is the correct place to post this...fingers crossed ..heres hoping. Does anyone else find it odd that low stakes, no decent games are offered past 4 pm?? Before this time, you can find a 1.10 buy in, with a $1000 dollar win, but after 4, they seem to be limited?

Why do Omaha games seem to be more expensive? Is this because there are less players? Maybe if the price was less, there would be more players??? Just curious.

It's not surprising at all... your 4pm is the ROW's 9pm & later (I'm assuming you're in EST time zone?). Or ifyou're in Pacific time zone, then you're looking at R.O.W.'s players time being midnight or later.

It seems $11 is the cheapest they're offering in the new Omaha series. I also wonder why... good question. Why not throw in some micro buyins for Omaha too? Perhaps there's many players who aren't as familiar with Omaha and would be more inclined to participate if they could do so on the cheap until they felt a bit more comfortable with the game.

I have a question...

Where can we post 'suggestions' for your site?
I used to follow a thread on that other forum ("4") awhile back (couple years ago?) and there were many suggestions there for the site, I believe many of which were being implemented at the time.

It's great how partypoker is growing and is a player-friendly site. I honestly hope you guys keep on grabbing more of the market... at least until even with the other big one. Playing tournaments on Partypoker today feels more like the experience I had on Fulltilt years ago... I only wish it could become even more like that.
I have some ideas for satellites that I think would be very popular.... a system similar to how they ran on Fulltilt. (typically in the larger field satties, a payout of 1 in 4... or 1 in 5 (25% & 20% of the field winning the ticket/token). The way FTP ran the token satellites was fantastic! Especially the 18-man games where a $6 buyin could win you a $26 token. For larger field satties, a $14 buyin satellite that ran twice per day put you in the running for a $50+$5 ticket (to the 'Fifty-Fifty). This led to larger fields in the tourneys.... especially the $24+2 tournaments.

I also think that if the same satellites ran at the same time every day of the week, and had them targetting a specific buyin (via token, ticket... to ensure the tourneys fill up... or even more preferable from a player's view perhaps introducing T$'s).

I believe a lot of the stuff FTP had going for them could be great to draw from. I understand today's player pool & market is quite a bit different from how things were 10yrs. ago, and that hyper this & spin that to luckbox into the 'big dream score' is popular to some less skilled, more gambling oriented customer but it sure would be cool for poker purists to take things back a bit to the grass roots of things.... you know... like 'poker' ;)

PS - do you guys have any job openings for some 'innovation' team positions?
This new 'Team Online' what is the basic premise for this? What are the proposed benefits this brings to the site? Will these guys not be drawn upon for their wealth of information & ideas based upon their own experience? One can only hope.

It's great watching you guys expand & continue to improve upon your product! :)

Colette and Everyone at Party Poker

It's time for everyone at Party to smarten up because you guys are going to do nothing but decline if you keep doing the minimum effort.

Party Poker's First Ever Omaha Series

I am a Pot Limit Omaha Hi Lo Specialist and an above average PLO player. This is fantastic news, wow this could be game changing for me. I love Party Poker and Omaha I can't wait.

REALITY

What is the highest guarantee of any tournament in the series?
$50,000

What buy in is that $530.

So a 100 player tournament to fill the guarantee has the highest guarantee for a poker room that is competing with Poker Stars?

So Poker Stars SCOOP Day 1
They have an Omaha tourney
$22 with $100,000 GTD so that tourney has a larger guarantee than any event in the series by double? YEP
They have a $215 with $250,000 gte and $2,100 with $500,000 Gte at same time.

That's just an average plo scoop tourney they have PLO Main Events....

Okay So What's The Party Poker Omaha Series Main Event?

THERE IS NO MAIN EVENT

You have a series but No Main Event? YEP
Why???

That's weird never seen a tournament series without a big finale.

Well its your first Omaha Series is there Mega Satellites?

NOPE we have a very small number of smaller satellites that aren't bold in our lobby with up to 10 seats gtd on sunday tho.

What???

What is the incentive to play all the events?

Do I get something for playing 5 omaha, 10 omaha entry to a freeroll or something?

Nope

Is there a Tournament Leader board?

Nope

Is there any promotion what so ever with the Omaha Series?

Nope

So is the Omaha Series just a series of regular Omaha tournaments like usual for the week but with slightly higher guarantees than usual?

YEP

So last week you ran a $33 with $150,000 Guaranteed
But you couldn't find a reason to have an Omaha tournament with anything over $50,000 gtd. With mega satellites or anything.

Nope

But it's a $2,000,000 gtd series.

Well they do have 80 EVENTS with $55 to $530 Buy In average gte about 20k fills up that number fast

How about you guys put some effort and act like a competitor and stop phoning it in with mediocrity. Lets have a series with no main event, no mega satellites, small guarantees, no promotions, no tournament leader board and nothing special about them what so ever.

The series was aimed at our current player pool based on game analysis/data from regular events

We no longer post on 2+2 as you are aware, I shared my details on the threads including a player feedback discord channel
You can also email customer service feedback which is shared with the relevant teams
We have our player panel for innovations - these guys are in direct contact the player communities and gather feedback via various sources
The Team online are also used as a source of feedback and suggestions and each member brings something unique to the table and has their own followings/communities give us a far wider reach for the player community alongside them bringing new players to the site

Thanks

It's our first ever Omaha series we in a way we are testing the water
Once the series concludes we will analysis and base our next Omaha series on the findings
We based the current series around our player numbers currently and catered for those players
If the series performs, we will of course look to increase guarantees/events

I have shared the above feedback with the poker room team FYI

Thanks

Why not open up your own site & start out with some uber-sized multi-million guarantees? Have a RAZZ series (I'm great at Razz btw).
I will play in it for sure! (even if it's not Razz).

Party Poker isn't a new site, its our first omaha series, poker is poker. You make a series you can put some effort into it. Party Poker was open in 2001 18 years ago. This isn't Run It Once Poker that opened in the past year.

What is success in this series, minimal overlay. Who is the champion of this series with no TLB and no main event. Who is going to be like at the end of this series be telling their mates I finished 3rd in the Omaha Series Main event or made it up to 17th in the TLB and their buddies are like he's not that good of an Omaha player I should go on Party next series and give that a run.

It's nothing to be proud of, its nothing that will be talked about past the series and you shouldn't be satisfied for just having a series that has Omaha in the name.

Your competing against other poker rooms in a billion dollar industry and are in talks constantly with the market leader.

You are the same people who are just happy Tiger Woods was competing at the Masters. While I was there for years never giving up that he could still win. Party Poker can still win and they need someone like me who understand the tournament series and promotions that will tell them the truth when they aren't trying hard enough.

This series will have no tournament with 1000 runners in any of them. No entry level buy in under $11 that new players can give Omaha a shot for the first team even on their minimal deposit of $20.

Time to stop settling for just showing up when you are capable of greatness.

I read in another thread that Party had good freerolls, but that was from last year in 2018. I have been watching in tourney section, and I do not see any regularly posted except Jackpot and Ladies Weekly Special.
Are there any others? What am I missing?
Is there a list somewhere of the monthly freerolls on Party so as to not accidentally miss something?

We are a real play site and offer freerolls only as loyalty rewards for our forum groups - which are restricted by country
The Jackpot freeroll is an affiliate freeroll
The Ladies is for our Ladies group members

Both the Jackpot and Bankroll freerolls are affiliate games for members only
I would suggest you contact the affiliate directly for further details
Regarding the Canadian freeroll the password is shared on the Facebook community group only - if you are a Canadian player you can request to join:

Yesterday at approx. 20:00 ET, the tournaments stopped & then started back up awhile later. There was a period of time when I was unable to register for ANY tournaments in the lobby that were listed as 'registering'.
I then played the Can. Fb. group freeroll (felt like some self-inflicted pain) & when it got down to the final two tables with just 8 players left, the tables didnt' combine into one.
In the lobby there were the names of two players (with VERY small stacks... stacks that never even depleted an ante.. and actually only consisted of 3antes in size. They both had less than 1 SB) who weren't even on the tables. It was a glitch. (I'm guessing you heard about it).
I have a couple screenshots.

Because of these two 'non-existent' players, the tables didn't combine until there were only 7 players left and the payouts were also affected. (ie. I placed 8th & was supposed to win $33..it showed me as placing 10th & paid me $22).

In the 3 screenshots it shows:
when there were 7 players left on the tables, the lobby shows 9 left

when there's 6 players left, the lobby still shows 8 left

when there's just 1 player left, the lobby still shows 3 left (and the tournament wouldn't end for the person)

Who should I contact about this?

Thank-you!

The team are aware of the issue with the CAD freeroll and are working on resolution
At some point today this should be resolved in full

The Team hadn't resolved it for me by yesterday (Sun.May 5th), & knowing it has an expiry and I won't be around much this week or next Saturday, AND because the ticket was only good for Satellites (< I wasn't aware of this either... but not a big deal), I chose to use it for a 40x $109 satty yesterday. (and yah.. I placed 41st & Yes this was the exact bubble boy spot & Yes... I also was the CC bubble boy on Sat. & yes.. 1 off the bubble in another on Sunday. My enthusiasm for the game was bubbling over this weekend.).

Any chance on getting the balance of the $33 ($11).. in an $11 ticket?

Thanks for your time.

Hi Collette. I signed up for Party in Panama and I like it except I have a problem and customer service has not responded after several days. \

The only reason I signed up was because they were offering a ticket for $55 for a deposit of $50 under promo BIGGAME.

It was a deposit bonus, and no where did it say I would not be eligible if I were brought in by an affiliate so I took an affiliate up on their offer as well.

I got the $55 ticket and then a day later the affiliate sent $10 more in tickets but as soon as those arrived Party took back my $55 ticket.

They havent responded in a reasonable time and I am afraid it expired by now. I dont think this is fair at all and definately not a warm welcome.

Can you help? My name is EthericWiki on Party.

The ticket was in the account and showing as unused
The Big Game was on the 5th - if unused the ticket will expire - it was issued on the 3rd Its the player's responsibility to use the ticket for the target event
There is no cash refund if not used in time for the event

You can view it under My Account - My Tickets - filter Imactive
On the 10th May, the ticket will be removed from the system

The ticket was not removed by the affiliate team - you simply didn't use it for the intended target event

Thanks

Colette

The ticket was in the account and showing as unused
The Big Game was on the 5th - if unused the ticket will expire - it was issued on the 3rd Its the player's responsibility to use the ticket for the target event
There is no cash refund if not used in time for the event

You can view it under My Account - My Tickets - filter Imactive
On the 10th May, the ticket will be removed from the system

The ticket was not removed by the affiliate team - you simply didn't use it for the intended target event

Thanks

Colette

Hi Colette,

Thank you for clearing that up. I have been having a difficult time getting acclimated at Party as everything is so different from how I remember it before black friday.

I understand satellite tickets expire in three days and I know I looked at the expiration date so I thought valid until the 10th may therefore I assumed I would be playable until then.

If I am correct in this and there is anything you can do I would appreciate it.

Ultimately I do thank you for taking the time to look into it and respond but this is something I would expect an email to customer service to get a response to and not have it ignored by them.
