Hi all,

Just wanted to post a quick introduction.- I'll be keeping an eye on the forum here - I had a recommendation to join up so here I am.

Hoping I can make some useful contributions for partypoker
I aim to try help answer your questions however the main aim of my forum presence is to gather valuable feedback from our players and also to keep you all informed first hand of whats going on.

My role at partypoker is varied - my main responsibilities fall with the poker team and our PR/Events team. I get to our events to meet our players face to face, host feedback sessions and see you all in action

Hey Colette. Welcome to CC. I use to play the Oceania community freerolls before they were cancelled. They will be sadly missed by those cheap skates with no BR, ie, me hahaha.... but, you were always there to help out with any issues that occurred. You will be a great asset to the CC community. Thank you for all you have done and for all you are about to do.

I know there are fewer ladies, but the freeroll should be for man too, or one-week woman freeroll, one-week man freeroll to be fair.

Honestly, these freerolls for women are offered to engage even more women, , I would think in any given freeroll games you'd be lucky if there were even 5 % women total to men ,playing of all the entries and that might be a generous estimate !!!!!!. It would be mostly men so why would you not try and encourage more women to learn and play sir.
Salute to Party Poker for their time to schedule games and generosity to help promote games for women to learn and Enjoy.
Its the only site that actually shows the most support and games for us compared to all the others poker sites

Colette, is there a blog or some partypoker news thread that tells of the larger SPINS winners? Has anyone won the $1 million from the $5 games?

I haven't played any but have considered it... knowing that many newer/ bad players are attracted to them. But one of the problems I have with them is that you really don't have any idea how big the pool of players is in the lobby for them. I mean is it 25 players playing the $5's, with 15 of them each 10-tabling, or what? You can't tell.

I read about players missing the old SNG format games via Fulltilt poker days. Sites have lost traffic from those games due to all of these newer formats (hypers, spins, etc.). Personally I think there could be a resurgence to SNG's and I think Partypoker could grab another piece of the player pool pie if they were to jump on it.
ie why not bring back the 45 man & 27 man SNG's, reg. speed blind structure but to initiate it, why not offer '1/2 rake' SNG's (have a 5% fee instead of 10). And maybe include some leaderboards as well (or some other promos... maybe a deposit bonus where if customer rakes a certain amount from playing SNG's they receive tickets to play in more SNG's).
Those games had a HUGE following back in the day... I'm sure they'd take off again if they were promoted well.

The Spins games are proving popular and running regularly - also a pretty nice wait to win event seats as we use these to promote some of our live events

With regards to SNG offering, next up for a revamp is our cash game offerings, SNGs may come later however other items will currently take priority on the "to do list"

It is a very strange and sad coincidence but all 5 times when I make any huge withdraws in my account at PP and also with some messages complaining about bad changes in the grade of tournaments (as I saw in the last months that became worse for players of small stakes) and also considering that I have my account there for almost 3 years by now and with an average about 40% of ITMs in their MTTs but in all these 5 times I faced a period of 2 or 3 months of bad beats sequence and finishing all the MTTs in the bubbles with bizarre ZERO results only in those months as it is happening now... It looks like a crazy idea r a conspiratory theory that they can put a "negative mark" over the player on the system in order to avoid that he win any money after bigger withdraws and complainings... Because the fact is that this is not happening only 1 or 2 times but 5 times and it is strange that in this period of 3 months the "bad lucky" is only at PP because at PokerStars and 888 I continue with my average about 30 to 40% of ITMs as I always play Tight and with a very well planned strategy to finish ITM even not reaching FTs very frequently due to that...

I hope that this strange coincidence finishes soon...lol

I was never really bothered that the Oceania community freerolls were cancelled. It is what it is, move on I say. There will always be plenty of opportunities for a free BR in the future. Just a friendly welcome to CC.

Hey. Why did they change the satallite feeder? With a structure of 0.01 - 5 - 22 - 109 ... for about $ 5, I received a ticket for $ 109. With the structure of 1 - 5 - 22 - 109, it took me several times more money to get a ticket for $ 109. After that, I decided to abandon this game because I do not have enough bankroll for such a game.
Have you reduced your losses? But lost reactive players in expensive tournaments. It was possible to reduce the number of tournaments for 0.01 ... let them start not every 5 minutes but every 10 minutes. Will you ever return the old structure? The sat tree was indeed changed when we removed the microgames from our offerings
The 0.01c games were always going to be a short term offer - we consolidated the micro/low stakes offerings to help the games room and removed games which were underperforming

hello colette , this is the second time i try to join party poker but i couldnt deposit , the same neteller account i use with pokerstars without any problems , the first time i tried it didnt work , i sent a mail but it took days to get a reply meanwhile i went i deposited somewhere else , hopefully this time it wont take that long again.

Twitch Streaming for Poker

Hello everyone,
Here to talk about what's been happening with all the signings from Party Poker with Twitch Streamers and the route they are taking in the industry.

It definitely nice to see that Party Poker is seeing the quality of what Twitch Streaming brings to the game & poker sites. These are not the only things Twitch does. What I find that's very important for the game and industry is Twitch & its streamers are bringing fresh new faces , viewers , players to the game in a very different way.

People can now go watch some of their favourite players play the game online, interact with them, learn from them and even listen in to their thought process in some hands or play.

To be a streamer it takes serious passion for the game and dedication. Its very hard work. You find yourself multi tasking doing so many things like for example:
1.Playing Cards
2.Interacting with the audience
3.Djing (taking song requests)
4.Singing to tunes
5.Answering questions from viewers
6.Streaming (sound checks, connection checks like internet, video etc etc
7.Winning or Final Tabling Poker in Tournaments or Cash
This is just some of the many things. If you can do all of these your on your way to being one of the best streamers.It aint easy.

You need a persona , character, energy and making it fun.

I better stop before I start giving away my secrets to getting huge viewership. But those are most of them. Anyways great job Party Poker with all the signings of Team Online. Twitch Streamers is a very good direction. I certainly endorse that.
Its also nice to see certain Streamers being noticed and getting signed who have put the hard work in and contributed enormously to the industry.Nice to seem them recognized and awarded.

Getting rid of huds

I have been hearing through the grapevine that Party Poker is getting rid of huds on the platform.
If this is true its about time and a smart move.
This will level the field with beginners, recs and good players.
No longer will a player have statistics and info to make the right decision over a beginning player or rec. They will feel more comfortable playing them on the same level with no software assistance. Mind vs mind the way it should be.
In my opinion players who use huds are the lazy players who don't want to put in the hard work making their own notes or mental notes.

Congrats on making a good decision if in fact this is true Party Poker.

I opened account yesterday and funded and got some SPIN tickets and verified myself with passport, but now everytime I try to login in application I get "Page Failed to Load." refused to connect error message. I tried on two different laptops and got same thing. I can login at partypoker242.com and see my account and details but can not play there. I tried unintsalling and reinstalling application only to get same thing again on both laptops. On Android mobile, I can not even download application as it refuses to connect to site once I click on "download" at partypoker242.com. I live chatted with a rep and he only said to uninstall completely and reinstall which I did to no difference. What to do now?
