Not to sound bitchy, but I think you might be in the minority around here.

Their live support is really good and the deposit options are good all things considered. If you are talking about the response times in this thread, admittedly they have been a bit slow but as has been said before, they have their hands full at the moment.

That having been said, the best in the industry is pokerstars AINEC. If Carbon can come even close to that level they will keep my business for a long time.

Look, I don't mean to stir things up. It's just that I think Carbon hasn't been quite able to keep up with the increase in traffic they've experienced since black Friday. It probably somewhat comes with the turf; they are after all the most popular Merge skin so hats off to them for that, but I suspect that they've had a harder time adjusting to support needs that come with that. Check out some of the the 2+2 threads (where I've been recently) and you'll probably see what I mean. Lots of unanswered emails for several days after automated responses saying they'll reply w/in 4-8 hours. Huge live chat support queues. I def had a hard time reaching them and wound up creating an account at one of their big competitors who are kinda famous for their support.

It's cool that you had an awesome response tho. Just saying I didn't and I wasn't the only one. (And sorry, Chris, it's not personal, obv.)

Your good man, I just spent 2 hours reading up over on 2+2 and well I guess you can't make everyone happy. It did look to me like a lot of peeps with issues were bringing it on themselves in some cases. Lack of patience for the most part and even a few who deposited large chunks and then immediately try to withdraw which is just ridiculous.

Curious as to what plans they have for improving the site? I've never really been interested in playing on Carbon (although I've had an account with $'s in it now for nearly 3yrs.), for a bunch of reasons (ie. tournament structures are kinda poor, HH feature sucks, I don't like the betting slider feature thingy, the alert sound is too quiet, don't really like looking at the table to see 'action'.. when trying to figure out who's turn to act it is, the "10-player" tables in tournaments... what up with that?.. I hate 10plyr. tables.. why not "9' ?... & a few other peeves).
Does Carbon (merge) have plans on improving the software & tournament structures so that they're a bit closer in resemblance to what players are used to on Stars & FTP? I'm sure if more improvements were made to the site it would only grow in popularity (I'd even play on there & I'm still able to play on FTP & Stars... I even tried an MTT on there during the CC game yesterday... yah.. got it allin pre from UTG with a 5bet shove over 60bb's deep (effective) in mid-levels with AA & got snapcalled by TT (& lost.. lol.. sigh... 'but' it is for sure a good thing.. lots of fish on there!).

Boy oh boy, I wish they would! I only opened an account a couple of weeks ago, so I'm not sure how often they update their software, how slow they are to implement changes or take suggestions, etc., over time.

Getting the invite to Use My Wallet is as simple as opening live support and asking for an invite. You might have to wait in line for several minutes but surf, watch tv whatever.

They will email you the link. Click on the link, sign up with the e wallet service and then you can deposit using credit card (it will work with the ewallet) or other options if you prefer. They even give you a small instant bonus that more than makes up for the small processing fee for credit card transactions. (They charged me 2.50 and gave me 5.00 when I deposited on carbon in addition to the regular sign up bonus.

The whole process took about 30 minutes, and half of that was waiting in line for live support. The ewallet card acceptance and then transfer to carbon were instant approval.

I did this all from the comfort of my home. Pretty painless.

WHat is Compatibility mode mean?

Some programs that were designed for Windows XP may not run in Windows 7environment so it gives you backward compatibility.

Find the carbon program and right click on it.
Now select the Compatibility Mode and choose your settings for that program to make it run.

I'm no longer running carbon in compatibility mode and it's running fine, but it sure was annoying when I was getting that error.

I waited for live support (not a horrible wait and I'm sure they are pretty overwhelmed at the moment) and asked about Use My Wallet. However, I was not given an invite link. I was told that I can only get an invite to UMW after I make my first deposit.

if they wont do it i found out that acecashexpress.com if you go to one of there store and get one of there pre paid visa card they will work and if you put more than 50.00 on it when you get it its free then a 1 dollar card to use. then after that throw it away or they will send you a personalized one then it cost 3 dollars to load it then there is a 1 dollar fee to use it on line pllus 5 dollar a month. but for a 1 time got put 50 on it then pull 49 and you ready to go

i choose 98 because of the me but got booted so not sure if that was the one i was soppose tp choose or dint hit apple so trying again

First, are you running it as administrator? I would chose widows 2000. I don't remember if the compatibility thing really helped. Also I think you might try updating flash. (Adobe Flash player).

yeah i've given up, seems to not want to run in linux and seems to have a rough go at being conducive as far as game selection and player options. guess i'm stuck with ft until the ship goes down

Getting the invite to Use My Wallet is as simple as opening live support and asking for an invite. You might have to wait in line for several minutes but surf, watch tv whatever.

They will email you the link. Click on the link, sign up with the e wallet service and then you can deposit using credit card (it will work with the ewallet) or other options if you prefer. They even give you a small instant bonus that more than makes up for the small processing fee for credit card transactions. (They charged me 2.50 and gave me 5.00 when I deposited on carbon in addition to the regular sign up bonus.

The whole process took about 30 minutes, and half of that was waiting in line for live support. The ewallet card acceptance and then transfer to carbon were instant approval.

I did this all from the comfort of my home. Pretty painless.

I'm assuming if you deposit this way via an ewallet, you could cash out this way as well? Also, does anyone know if ewallets are safe to keep balances on? Not sure if it would be better to withdraw regularly from Merge to avoid having $ tied up (or in the case of Cereus, gone) post black friday, or to keep it on the poker site and avoid a neteller situation if they pull out of the US.

Its a satellite ticket and the only satellites you can enter for 2.20 give satellite tickets. You win one of those and you can get an $11 satellite ticket which again only gets you into satellites for another satellite and since all but one of their sats are rebuys, it's very tough to turn those tickets into cash.

From the main lobby on the client, click on "Player Admin", and it will open a webpage for you. On the left, you will a list of links. Click "My Account", then "Tourny Entry Coupons".

I will try 2000 again yea i am ADman I have updated Java and flash 6 or 7 times and undownloaded and re downloaded another 5 or 6 times

According to the site (Carbon) you can use use my wallet to withdraw. The minimum is 50 bucks. As to the risk, of course in the current climate, there is risk. I wouldn't personally keep anymore on the site, than I need to be bankrolled for the level that I want to play. Also, it should go without saying, but obviously, don't deposit money that you can't afford to lose.

No one can tell you with any certainty that "Black Friday" won't happen again. You have to use your judgement and decide for yourself.

Personally, I deposited 50 bucks. If everything stays stable and I win as I expect, than profit for me. If the DOJ shuts it down tommorrow, well, I'd spend 50 bucks at a movie or on food or drinks and not count it lost so if I lose it at poker meh. Its worth the risk to me for the potential profit and to defy the tyrants running my country.
