I just started playing on Carbon. I hate the lobby, but the table interface is not too bad. Not as good as FTP, but hey...at least it's somewhere to play right now.

I don't doubt Carbon support used to be good,but maybe they were not ready for the over the night growth they have had.I e-mailed them two or three days ago about deposit info.I got the auto response 4-8 hours etc. but nothing else.One thing is for sure since black Friday my money will go on a site with good support look at stars then look at tilt that tells it all.

I just signed up again on carbon i had uninstalled it years ago but i just got back on and i am excited to win some freerolls being that i may never deposit another cent into any poker site. Is a shame that communist countries have more freedom than americans when it comes to playing poker

With all the US players on the move to a site that will accept them it is a good chance to set yourselves up so you can reap as much free cash as you possibly can. With most of us on this forum trying to build a bankroll so we can play the higher stakes every extra bit you can get for free has to help. Just type rakebackreferrals into google and choose a site from there. Rakeback is a must if your building a bankroll and I wish I knew that when I first started.

Am I allowed to make a suggestion? The instant hand history on Carbon is extremely painful to look at it. Is there a way to make it text based like it is with most other poker sites?

Afaik you will need to deposit the minimum (10$ ?) in order to transfer and withdraw.

You will have to send your ID stuff - there's simply no way to manoever around that.

I'd look at that like this:

• 10$ invested (or 20, 30 whatever) into your hobby isn't that much (even if it should get lost somehow)
• They need to know who you are and that you're of age to play and not a 12 year old taliban who wants to launder money.

Sending in ID isn't unheard of tbh - PS and FT asked for this sometimes prior to withdrawing, too.

still having trouble getting it to load through linux , is dam annoying since i really do not want to ever go back to windows (kinda like an ex wife feeling...shudders) anyway I would love to start playing at carbon since I'm stuck at ft and though getting through these looney east bloc players isn't so bad it's a bit tediuos and if you don't have the nuts you had best just stay out of the hand since they have apparently only two buttons on the screen ,max or fold....anyway thats my bitch anyone have any prior problems getting carbon to load on linuux?

New York residents cannot get $ via check??

Carbon tells me that it can't issue me a check because I live in NY. Yet FT approved my withdrawal via check (a few days before the shutdown).

What gives?

I'm now on carbon, man they have all sorts of promos for first time depositers, I signed up through raketherake so I have rakeback coming in, 200% on my first deposit, something called the money tree, like 21 days of playing in the new depositer freerolls (last one I looked at had like 200 people in it and the guy who won got like a hundred bucks !! ) , and new depositer leaderboards. Does cardschat have any promos goin with Carbon?

cardschat promos with Carbon

When I deposited on Carbon, I used bonus code CARDS600 as stated on the CardsChat Poker Room page. It gets you a 100% first deposit bonus of up to $600, two weeks of unlimited entries into the Daily First Depositor Freeroll (SUPER SOFT), but I'm not sure about rakeback.

Can someone please clarify this simple issue about Merge bonuses:

On most Merge skins deposit bonuses are 100% and clear at 75 VIP points per dollar. If you go through any number of rakeback affiliates Carbon's bonuses appears to be twice that w/ 200% at 125 VIP points per dollar. Does this mean at Carbon I'm getting twice the $ back but just at a slower rate?

Example: Let's say I only earn a mere 1000 points during the entire period these bonus deals apply. At other Merge skins I'm getting $13.00, while at Carbon I'm getting $16.00. In reality it's not exactly that the bonus is twice as good at Carbon because they clear differently. Is this correct or am I missing something here?

Carbon "demands"

I recently tried to open Carbon Poker acct. The asked for Identification and copies of both sides of ALL card i might use on their site. They than produced the last 4 numbers of 1c-card and 2 dbt cards of mine,cards i,ve never used on any Merge affiliate.Since than no response to 3 e-mails. My question: Has anyone else been asked for similar. Seems exessive and dangerous for anyone to submit to these "demands"

I don't think so, in the US anyway, it is illegal for banks to be used to deposit or withdraw, which is why FT and PS are in this shit storm.
