The 2018 XL Inferno Has Its First Two-Time Winner

Two days after besting a 622-entry field to win the $55 buy-in Event #5: $20,000 Twins Flush for $5,663, Sweden’s “Sluuut123” navigated a field of 706 entries (484 players + $222 rebuys) to win the $215 buy-in Event #9: $120,000 Mega Deep for $26,828.

The Netherlands’ “MisterN411” Wins XL Inferno High Roller

The $2,600 buy-in Event #16: $200,000 High Roller, the biggest buy-in of the XL Inferno, easily surpassed its guarantee by attracting 84 players who rebought 47 times.
That created a $327,500 prize pool.

Among those to compete in the tournament were 888poker Ambassadors Chris “888Moorman” Moorman and Martin “MJacobson888” Jacobson, as well as poker pros Mike “SirWatts” Watson, Chris “NigDawG” Brammer, Jans “Graftekkel” Arends, Roman “Romeopro33” Romanovskyi, and Adrian “ADRI_ATM” Mateos. Surprisingly, none of them managed to make the money.

After just over nine hours, the title came down to Dimitar “trino11” Yosifov and the Netherlands’ “MisterN411.”

The latter held a big chip lead when the final hand developed. It happened when Yosifov got his short stack in with queen-four and failed to overcome the pocket kings of “MisterN411,” who earned $90,063 for the victory.

In March 2017, “MisterN411” topped a field of 333 entries to win the $100,000 Baby Whale for nearly $20K.

Super Whale Champ “I__AM_ZLATAN” Wins Mini High Roller

“I__AM_ZLATAN” was best known for topping a field of 940 entries to win the 2015 $500,000 Super Whale for $129K.

Russia’s “kassigor” Denies Ukraine’s “GangstaGo” a Second Title

Event #18: $30,000 Late High Roller, which cost $160 to enter, drew 181 players who rebought 79 times. After 6 hours and 36 minutes, it came down to Russia’s “kassigor” and Ukraine’s “GangstaGo,” who was seeking his second title after winning Event #4: $20,000 Twins Royal. The Ukrainian also had a prior second-place finish in the series, and he’d get another one when his Russian opponent came out on top to win $8,385.

It was the latest win for “kassigor” since last November when he took down the $2,50 Pacific Starfish. A month earlier, he had won the $4,000 Typhoon, and less than three weeks before than claimed a $3,000 Twister title.

Finally got some holidays and was hoping to add in a number of MTT's from your site but was very disappointed to see that a recent update has now made it impossible for me to access my account as my computer is not running on Win7+
How disappointing :(

UK’s “JohnFoot” Wins XL Inferno Main Event for $209,779!

The $1,050 buy-in Event #32: $1,000,000 Main Event cleared its seven-figure guarantee by attracting 855 players who rebought 304 times. Some of the players to compete but fall short of the money were Anton “anteen” Bertilsson, Sergio “zcedrick” Aido, and Mike “SirWatts” Watson, just to name a few.

Likewise, 888poker Ambassadors Sofia “sofialovgren” Lövgren, Chris “888Moorman” Moorman, and Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot all come up empty.

The $1,159,000 prize pool was distributed to the top 108 players including Roman “romeopro33” Romanovsky (34th - $4,868), Kenny “SpaceyFCB” Hallaert (22nd - $5,563), Preban “prebzzz” Stokkan (20th - $5,563), Adrian “ADRI_ATM” Mateos (18th - $7,881), and final table bubble boy “hummar” (10th - $12,517).

With six players left in the tournament, “JohnFoot” caught fire, first by eliminating “que_te_crio” and then winning a big pot off “m0zga4,” who four-bet shipped ace-king into aces. That pot gave “JohnFoot” half the chips in play, and it didn’t take long for him to make it down to the final two with a big lead.

The heads-up match went on for half an hour before “JohnFoot” used his four-six to crack the aces of “wellyxx” after the latter made a wheel and the former a six-high straight.

Two Malta Players Strike a Deal in the Mini Main Event

The $160 buy-in Event #33: $150,000 Mini Main Event crushed its guarantee by attracting 934 players who rebought 404 times. That created a $200,700 prize pool paid out to the top 117 finishers including 888poker Ambassador Chris “888Moorman” Moorman (103rd - $421), XL Series champ “Namlleh” (64th - $542), Nicolas “PKaiser” Fierro (24th - $923), “spyver” (14th - $1,706), Alexandru “alexos888” Baron (6th - $8,108), and “morewater” (3rd - $19,468).

After 9 hours and 46 minutes, the tournament came down to two players from Malta, who opted to strike a deal. “pAAdentr0” wound up with the title and $33,833, while “Openpunks” received $28,384 for second place.

“SergeyRusko” Back on Top After a Year Away from Winner’s Circle

The $30 buy-in Event #34: $50,000 Micro Main surpassed its guarantee by drawing 1,672 players who rebought 703 times. That created a $65,312 prize pool paid out to the top 207 players including “Pasha813” (128th - $98), “YettysWild” (55th - $157), “resilience32” (19th - $248), “JvdHelm” (7th - $1,861), and “rablou_mihai” (4th - $4,245).

After the UK’s “tupastacerdo” bowed out in third place for $6,009, the title came down to “SergeyRusko” and “Chipsssssss.” The former, a Russian player, wound up winning it for $11,032 after 10 hours and 40 minutes.

The last win for “SergeyRusko” came just over a year ago when he won the May 3, 2017 $10,000 Swordfish for $2,413. Five weeks before that, he also took down the $15,000 Monsoon for nearly $2,900.

Canada’s “Zebest7r” Wins XL Inferno Mega Deep

The $215 buy-in Event #31: $120,000 Mega Deep drew 507 players who rebought 237 times. That created a $148,800 prize pool paid out to the top 72 players including Jans “Graftekkel” Arends (43rd - $670), Roman “Romeopro33” Romanovsky (29th - $744), two-time XL Inferno champ “Sluuut123” (10th - $1,786), “backdown8” (5th - $8,035), and “shcirrr” (3rd - $15,178).

After just under 12 hours, Canada’s “Zebest7r” defeated the Netherlands’ “InJeBakkes” in heads-up play to win the $28,123 first-place prize. It was the first win on 888poker for “Zebest7r” since Christmas Day 2016, which is when he took down the $10,000 Sunday Lightning 6-Max for nearly $4,000.

Sometimes I wonder how much thought your people are putting into the challenges for the current chest promo. At least this time it has been all poker so far so thanks for that at least.
Yesterday's challenge of winning 5 hands at showdown with 3 of a kind COMPLETELY changed the dynamic of the poker games.

In effect if you made 3 of a kind then you simply had to check or check call it down to make sure you got to showdown.
It was close to farcical with everyone limp calling their pairs trying to hit sets and then checking it down......
To insist the hand has to be won at showdown is nonsense please pass this back.
Consider you get dealt a pair every 16 hands. If you manage to see every flop (unlikely as you will have to fold some small pairs to raises) you will make a set 1 in every 8 times. So you are looking at flopping a set 1 in 126 hands at best.
Then you have to manoeuvre the hand to showdown without making your opponent fold.....I got outdrawn at least 3 times doing so.
You might get lucky anf occasionally flop or turn trips but not often enough to make much difference.
In effect it took 1100 or so hands of sub optimal play to complete the challenge losing me considerable value on my good hands. Probably a good $20-30 of lost value for the sake of a $3 chest reward.
It was not really worth the bother.:(

Hello everyone,

For the second successive year, 888poker is giving six lucky players the opportunity to talk strategy with some of the game's most celebrated thinkers as they experience the WSOP Main Event, perhaps for the first time.

Anton Wigg will join Martin Jacobson in a formidable-looking 8-Team Sweden.
Wigg is a former World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) Main Event winner, who has accrued $2.3m playing live tournaments, and $7.8m playing online.

In effect it took 1100 or so hands of sub optimal play to complete the challenge losing me considerable value on my good hands. Probably a good $20-30 of lost value for the sake of a $3 chest reward.
It was not really worth the bother.:(
I sent your feedback over to the team.
Thanks!

MAC user

I have had an 888 account for just under a month and have been running the client through the web as it seemed like an apple App was non-existent. After googling and searching for 1+ hour I was unable to find an actual link to download on my MAC. Eventually I gave up assuming it was just a legend. I even found the 888 link showing me HOW to set it up on a mac but not actually providing a link. well, today I accidentally stumbled upon a 888 MAC download link so I'm sharing it here. Hopefully it can help other people and hopefully the 888 rep here will make it known so that it is easily accessible. I would normally go to the site 888poker.com I found it by going to 888.com and it was on the main page :stupid:

a bug on the 888 software

Dear Representative of 888,

I would like to report a bug within your software, which causes the game to close. As I was multi-tabling cash games at 888 Poker, I sat out from one particular table. As I was closing the table to open a new game in its place, after accepting the "Are you sure you want to leave?", the window, along with all others, and the lobby (effectively, the entire software) closed.

Sometimes, even after re-opening the game, and trying to close that particular window again, the entire game closes once more. The only solution I have found thus far is to simply wait for a few minutes and be "sitting out" from the "bad" table. Then closing it causes no issues, as intended.

This issue has happened to me multiple times within the last week. And not only to me, as I have been hearing. I really hope you can fix this!

how would you call those guys sitting over 2869 minuteswhich translate:
2869/60=47.81 hrs
or they may be on drugs, extasy, red bull or other energy drink
check on the other players how many are over there sitting for soooo long time.
Open any cash table, and judge for yourself.

go to any table, and look at the players and their "sitting time", check for yourself.
