Dear Representative of 888,

I would like to report a bug within your software, which causes the game to close. As I was multi-tabling cash games at 888 poker, I sat out from one particular table. As I was closing the table to open a new game in its place, after accepting the "Are you sure you want to leave?", the window, along with all others, and the lobby (effectively, the entire software) closed.

Sometimes, even after re-opening the game, and trying to close that particular window again, the entire game closes once more. The only solution I have found thus far is to simply wait for a few minutes and be "sitting out" from the "bad" table. Then closing it causes no issues, as intended.

This issue has happened to me multiple times within the last week. And not only to me, as I have been hearing. I really hope you can fix this!

I’ve been having the same problem with the 888 software. Did you email 888 support, and if so did they give you an answer as to when the problem will be corrected?

Welcome to 888poker’s Weekly Deal, with all the best news, results and insights from the past week.

THIS WEEK: June 10, 2018

The 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP) may be going on in Vegas, but that doesn’t stop the full slate of Sunday tournaments on 888poker. Below is a look at some of this week’s biggest winners, which includes Fabrizio “DrMiKee” Gonzalez winning the Mega Deep and final tabling the Whale.

Fabrizio “DrMiKee” Gonzalez Wins Mega Deep

The $215 buy-in Mega Deep drew 338 players who rebought 151 times. The $100K prize pool was paid out among the top 48 finishers, and some of the names to earn a piece of it were “pokerdave128” (28th - $680), Robin “Inho” Ylitalo (18th - $970), “ZeroNineee” (8th - $2,250), Jans “Graftekkel” Arends (7th - $2,750), Raphael “iBustYa888” Wimmer (6th - $3,750), and Bryan “DePittsterje” Paris (3rd - $10,750).

After just over 11 hours, Uruguay’s Fabrizio “DrMiKee” Gonzalez defeated Ukraine’s “GangstaGo” in heads-up play to win the $19,250 top prize. It marked the second week in a row Gonzalez final tabled the Mega Deep after placing ninth last Sunday for $2,000. Back on March 18, he also finished second in the $100,000 Whale for $22,940.

“koerdistan89” Claims GREAT 8 Title

The $88 buy-in $2,000 Sunday GREAT 8 surpassed its guarantee by attracting 218 players who rebought 85 times, which created a $24,240 prize pool. The top 32 players go paid including Ian “Simpioni” Simpson (27th - $182), “MAMOHT_T” (16th - $364), XL Eclipse champ “Openpunks” (5th - $1,333), and “cuadrado12” (3rd - $2,788).

After 8 hours and 46 minutes, The Netherlands’ “koerdistan89” defeated Denmark’s “N33dCoaching” in heads-up play to win a $4,909 first-place prize. It was the second time this year “N33dCoaching” came close to capturing a big title. If you recall, he finished fourth in January’s XL Blizzard Event #3: $20,000 Late Opening Event , good for $2,402.

Ivan “Hurrrrican3” Gabrieli & Alessandro “ZeroNineee” Valli Strike Deal in the Whale

The $1,050 buy-in, $50,000 GTD Whale drew 53 players who rebought 73 times, which created a $73,000 prize pool. Among those to compete for a piece of it but fall short were XL Inferno Champion of Champions “Sluuut123,” Niklas “tutten7” Åstedt, and “PokerJoe332,” who bubbled in eighth place.

Among those to cash were “SalsaFiesta” (7th - $3,285), “InJeBakkes” (6th - $4,015), and “Farrugia_1” (4th - $7,300). Once Fabrizio “DrMiKee” Gonzalez exited in third place for $10,950 the final two players struck a heads-up deal in which Alessandro “ZeroNineee” Valli finished second for $17,378 and Ivan “Hurrrrican3” Gabrieli took the title and $24,597 in prize money.

Malta’s “Ronaldo4112” Wins Another Turbo Mega Deep Title

The $215 buy-in, $15,000 GTD Turbo Mega Deep saw 66 players take to the virtual felt and rebuy 25 times. That created an $18,200 prize pool paid out to the top dozen players including “NotSpanish” (12th - $501), Alessandro “ZeroNineee” Valli (8th - $592), “PokerJoe332” (6th - $956), and “elpatron_kwt” (3rd - $2,548).

After exactly four house, the tournament came to an end when Malta’s “Ronaldo4112” defeated Mexico’s “Nemekiss” to win a $4,960 top prize. It marked “Ronaldo4112’s” first win on 888poker since June of last year, which is when he took down the $40,000 Turbo Mega Deep for $9,200. More recently, he placed fifth in the XL Inferno Event #12: $150,000 Whale for $11,160.

Finland’s “BomberAces” Up for the Sunday Challenge

The $109 buy-in Sunday Challenge drew 321 players who rebought 128 times. The $50,000 prize pool was paid out to the top 48 players including “FedorAV” (31s - $340), “kory1977” (17th - $485), “Hanzokid” (10th - $875), Raphael “iBustYa888” Wimmer (5th - $2,625), and “Melapika” (4th - $3,875).

After “Sinatra48” hit the rail in third place for $5,375, the final two players struck a deal that saw Finland’s “BomberAces” win the title and $8,689 and Germany’s “Tocheg” take second for $8,051.

What to watch out for:

We’ve listened to you, the players, and are proud to offer more tournaments with lower buy-ins and bigger guarantees.

As a result, we recently introduced our new daily six-tournament series called Big Fish.

With $100,000 in guarantees DAILY and buy-ins starting as low as $5.50, this poker tournament series should appeal to all levels of poker players.

I have a question. After registration in the room I was given a free spin. In the condition it was said that the free spin is given once a day. However, after that, when you press the "free spin" button, a white or black screen appears. What is happening?:dontknow:

When the action folds around to you in the small blind, you only have to beat one player to win the dead money in the pot. This is an opportunity worth taking advantage of as often as possible.
Many players, especially less experienced ones, have a tendency to over-fold from the big blind against steal attempts. Open-raising with a relatively wide range from the small blind is an effective way to exploit that.
How wide can this range be? Well, in The Poker Lab, we recommend open-raising a slightly wider range from the small blind than the button (anywhere between 40% and 50% of hands is a good starting point). This may seem high considering the perils of small blind play, but the incentive to steal the dead money in the pot justifies a relatively wide opening range most of the time.

I won a $1 BLAST ticket on the Spin a few days ago and just tried to use it, but when I went to register there was no option to use the ticket.
I then went to my tickets and while it shows a ticket it says "Currently no available tournaments" and I notice the little ticket symbol is pale blue rather than the usual green for tickets with a noted cash value.

My 888 name is orsino12

Hello everyone,

The 2018 World Series of Poker, which is sponsored by 888poker, is two weeks in and has minted more than a dozen bracelet winners.
Among them are 2009 WSOP Main Event champ Joe Cada (Event #3: $3,000 NLH Shootout for $226,218), and the red-hot Justin Bonomo (Event #16: $10,000 Heads-Up Championship for $185,965).

Throughout all the tournaments and variants some special hands have taken place, and we thought we’d highlight eight of the biggest from the first two weeks of the 2018 WSOP.

Check out these top hands (with video) here.
