TV personality & poker enthusiast Kara Scott joins Team 888poker

The multi-talented boasts an impressive career in TV & journalism and is a strong advocate for women in poker.

Premier poker room, 888poker, is delighted to announce poker talent Kara Scott as its latest Team 888poker ambassador.
The newest addition to the line-up boasts an impressive career as a journalist and poker player, and is now a well-recognised TV host in the poker world – after having joined ESPN’s coverage of the 2011 World Series of Poker (
wsop) main event, where she remains an established member of the award-winning broadcast team.
The poker fan has had a host of impressive achievements at major poker tournaments, including the 2008 WSOP $10,000 buy-in event, which saw Kara finish in the top 2% of 6,844 players, taking home a total of $41,816 in winnings. She has also made her mark as the only woman to cash in during both WSOP Main Events in 2008 and 2009 and the second woman ever to cash in two consecutive WSOP main events.
Referring to herself as a ‘poker enthusiast’ rather than ‘professional poker player’, Kara is a lover for the game and has demonstrated her obvious talents when it comes to poker events – placing her in the top 100
canadian poker players. She is also a strong advocate for women in poker and is keen to encourage more women to compete.

Furthermore, on the 3rd March, Kara will also be hosting one of many 888 Live Local Events, taking place at Aspers Casino in London. The event commences on the 3rd March 2016 and runs until 6th March 2016, where players could win the chance to compete at the WSOP taking place in Las Vegas later this year.
