I phoned customer service. They said "problem identified, all games paused, fix in 10 to 15 minutes." That was about 10 minutes ago.

Following your advice. The client is still running for me. Not currently playing. Next game at 7:00pm for me. All windows on client are active and updating.Hope you folks can log back on B4 your games start.

CardsChat MDS freeroll was canceled on ACR due to not enough players registered. The ACR client is working for me right now.. But anyone not already logged in cannot get in right now.
Something is wrong somewhere. The network and ACR websites are not online either.
I am running and playing on ACR now because I logged in about 2 hours before this happened.

The ACR client was just shut down on my computer as well. Entire site is now down.
The ACR MDS freeroll is running at level 31 and the regular cash tables are running. Private, Freeroll, Special, SnG, etc., games are otherwise blank.

shortly to upgrade our systems.

** would have been nice if they mention how long the shutdown will last or when we can log back into tournaments

If it was a planned outage then I wish they would have posted it so that I would not have entered those tournies.
To be fair they gotta shut down and perform maintenance some time.....but it seemed like they knew that they were going to do it.

With that million dollar tourney on Sunday they definitely wanted to run. I have been on ACR since noon and it went down in stages but was sudden. Not expected or planned.
If the airports can all shut down because of a server then anyone else running servers can certainly have unexpected problems. They stayed running using the good servers as long as they could.
This is not maintenance. It is recovery and repair. :cool

I just tried to login into American Card Room and it says, "checking for new version", and then it doesn't open the software. Most likely, they are updating their software. In my opinion, if they are going to update their system, they should do it in the middle of the night, or at least they should send an email to everyone that way everyone knows what's happening.

I know its about acr collecting extra money on tournaments but the many levels allowed for late registration seems so extreme to me ..its like fighting a losing battle while dragging out a tournament for hours. Im putting in the time while others can come in 2 or 3 hours later and get lucky or not .. but it doesn’t seem quite fair. I can see an hour late registration but its mostly always longer than that. And I know it’s not going to change but it discourages me from playing those tournaments and spending my money on them. Just voicing my opinion. 🤨

I agree 100%. Unless it is a freeroll, I avoid all games with the extended late registration, rebuys and addons. All negative for the players at the start.
I lean heavily towards freezeout games and those with KO bonuses. I don't like the lottery style SnG's. I like the double and triple up SnG's. Those are not offered on ACR. So, I play where they are offered.
