I had this same problem several weeks ago. What I found was that some how due too reasons unknow the AmericasCardroom.exe file was duplicated which created a file AmericasCardroom.exe(2) that would not uninstall.:mad:

1. Uninstall AmericasCardroom client.
2. Find the AmericasCardroom folder.

View attachment 157753

3. Open the folder and see if there is any file left in the folder.
4. Delete any files or just delete the whole AmericasCardroom folder. If you can not delete the folder you may have to power down and back up before deleting the folder.
5. Reinstall AmericasCardroom client.

That is what I did to get rid of the error message. ;):D

Good Luck!!

I appreciate a lot your support! If you need help or have any questions please let me know.

First, I can't find in McAfee how to add an exception. The problem is as Shempstir says, when downloading the software, there is a glitch that also created a file AmericasCardroom.exe(2) that would not uninstall. Thru safe mode I was able to uninstall that and reinstalled the poker client, and so far that hasn't shown up. I will be shutting down my computer when I go out this morning, and hopefully when I get back and try to open the poker client all will be as it should be, KEEPING FINGERS CROSSED!!!! Thanks for your help :)

Due to recent Blockchain developments, we will be temporarily suspending both Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals tomorrow, August 1st , as of 7 am EST, should the event go as expected, we’ll resume processing Bitcoin transactions within a matter of hours.

Anyone looking for more insight into the "Blockchain developments"- I'd wager it's due to the Bitcoin hard fork (covered online extensively)

I have $360 in bitcoin, just sitting there in a wallet. I am wondering how tomorrow will change that value. I suspect it will have minimal, if any effect. But, we will see. Thought about putting it on a site, just in case, but decided against it.

You should be fine, if you dig into the reasons for the fork and the history of it you'll find that it has been debated for a long time and deeper research reveals a group of miners had an advantage that would be eliminated by a fork. I think it's the right move all things considered

Yeah, I have read up on it. That's why I doubt it will have much impact on the value of the BTC I hold. If I hadn't read up, I might have pulled things out until after the change had happened and settled.

Thank you very much, before I send a ticket to the Tech department, could you please let m know the error message or any message you received when you tried to log in. Or you don't receive any message? Or when you click on the Icon it does not do anything?

Bitcoin processing is now fully restored on the network and is available for both deposits and withdrawals. We appreciate your patience during the brief downtime this morning.

@ ACR Rep, are there any other special tournaments coming after PCPC steps? If not, then what will happen to unused tickets? If so, when will the next special tournament start? When does the PCPC steps end?

Seems every 3rd or 4th time I close ACR and try to open the poker client again I get that stinking error message. And when I look in the file explorer I see

AmericasCardroom.exe(2)

which I can only remove when I boot my computer in safe mode. Today after rebooting in safe mode it disappeared without my deleting it, and when I opened the poker client there was a pop-up saying report this error which was the first time I was able to do this. Sure wish the software would be updated to get that AmericasCardroom.exe(2) out so it never shows up again. Thanks for all your help!!!

Well I thought I had this error licked but it came back today!!! I ran about a month without the following error:

Poker client

This time there were four files that would not uninstall which were:

AmericasCardroom.exe
AmericasCardroom2.exe
PokerClientBrowser.exe
Uninstall.exe

When I tried deleting the file I got the following error:

Folder Access Denied

And yes I am the Administrators of my computer!!!
It took me about one and a half hours to figure out how to delete those files again and I still not sure what I did?

If it helps I am using Windows 10.

I apologize for the late reply, the Tech department told me that they don't have the exact date at the moment to solve this issue. Meanwhile, I do recommend to install a windows emulator for Mac. Also, remember that our CEO did a live stream on twitch and he talked about our new software version coming soon.

Why do players that are inactive or sitting out have the ability to win a pot? IMO there hand should be dead and automatically folded.
