Email Stars. If you are supernova+ I think there's a special VIP email? I'm not supernova on Stars anymore so not sure but even if you're not they should respond to an email and they will be able to tell you exactly what you need.

It is my understanding that you need a bill and a bank account there. If you're going there in 2 weeks and will be there for 10 days I would right now change some bills to that address (and off online statements if you're anything like me). You have 24 days that means for at least one bill to be sent there and get it. I don't think that should be a problem. But like I said this is all my understanding and Pokerstars will obviously tell you 100% exactly what you need. Also realize that there are now a million people trying to fake this info so they are going to be super dilligent to make sure you are in that country and will probably need more info to prove it than they usually do. That said I think a bank statement and seperate bill both with your name and that foreign address I believe will be enough to cashout to that UK bank.

I emailed PS with very specific details and questions about my situation - telling them I was re-locating to the UK. They answered none of my questions and sent this very unhelpful response lol:

Hello Debi,

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, we are unable to assist you with a country/address change at this time.

We will endeavor to provide you with further assistance as soon as the situation is clearer.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we thank you for your understanding.

Regards,

Silke

The bad thing is I can still play FTP. But Im starting to feel like it doesnt matter anyway.

I still havent closed it since friday after work.

But now Im starting to think I should start playing freerolls on bodog and carbon to start building another roll.

I could finally crush 25nl. Fully rolled and taking shots at 50nl.
480 pt. 100 day rolling avg. for Black Card. (about 4-5 days it was a wrap)
100k FT pts.

Gone.

I am so FU%$# Crushed. I feel lost.
LOL Like someone stole my puppy.

mine almost closed today for inactivity. I didn't think that was possible. Now I'm super paranoid it'll close. :(

played a session today and finished take 2. :)

I love FTP, really gonna be hard to accept I can no longer play there. :(

So frustrating.

Well I guess they owe a lot of money then.

They only have the right to sieze .US domains.
Find me a compensation lawyer please.
Because of their unjustified interference I wasn't able to register for the CardschatFreeroll, because I couldn't register and play and obviously win, I didn't have the stake money to play the wsop Main Event Satellite which would have led to me winning the WSOP so they have caused the financial loss of a couple of million.
And in the land where a cup of coffee can't be made with boiling water you can bet the lawyers are going to make a fortune.

Sorry flyfish, but it's just not that black and white. You might be right that the republicans are part of the problem, but it is the CURRENT administration that has enforced the laws.

Think about it. Don't just react emotionally.

Eric Holder is in charge of the bust. He is a DEMOCRAT appointed by Obama.

It might be a people on the right that created the act. But it is people on the left who are enforcing it so firmly right now.

I haven't read all the pages, but I do think it is crap what the U.S. is doing to you guys/girls. I'm Canadian and I don't think anything will change here (even our government lotteries are tax free).

I have seen some mention here about party poker, I thought they were the first to stop U.S. players back in 2006, how/why would they change now?

It's probably a mix of both. The UIGEA became law in October 2006, but the actual rules for the banks didn't take effect until June 1, 2010. The indictment itself talks about the time frame of November 2006 to March 2011. The Bush administration was still in office until January 2009. So much of the work that went into the investigation that led to the indictment occurred under the DOJ from that administration. Holder and the current administration just took it over from them. Fraud is fraud, money laundering is money laundering. Any AG would prosecute this case regardless of political affiliation.

Contact Pokerstars Steve on 2p2, he's the one who has been giving info there. I don't really know anything beyond what he's said. But I would change the address on at least one of your bills (like cell phone) to that address just in case it is needed.

As do I. I have read the law and find it somewhat amusing. Essentially it is void in any state which allows online gambling

Sec. 802. § 5362. 10
(B) INTRASTATE TRANSACTIONS.
The term 'unlawful Internet gambling' does not include placing, receiving, or otherwise transmitting a bet or wager where
(i) the bet or wager is initiated and received or otherwise made exclusively within a single State;
(ii) the bet or wager and the method by which the bet or wager is initiated and received or otherwise made is expressly authorized by and placed in accordance with the laws of such State, and the State law or regulations include-
(I) age and location verification requirements reasonably designed to block access to minors and persons located out of such State; and
(II) appropriate data security standards to prevent unauthorized access by any person whose age and current location has not been verified in accordance with such State's law regulations
So it seems our focus going forward will need to be dual; legalization of online poker in individual states, which is likely easier than the second part, legalization at a national level.

The law itself is rather sweeping, with applications far beyond online poker. It's also interesting that Sec. 803 (Internet gambling in or through foreign jurisdictions) fails to make any mention of the fact that it is likely a violation of at least two WTO agreements to which the US is party.

...the american government flagrantly violating an international agreement? shocked and awed. tomorrow should be intersetingas i'm sure the weekend was spent camp firing with lawyers that cost more than one of paris hiltons coke binge weekends per hour are gearing up to file some hefty paperwork. this is better than reality tv for me. i bet nine months from now the states will have a mini baby boom.

Most of those ideas were from Titan (bigger bonus, vip transfer). I think Party are doing similar with VIP players.

Doesnt do anything for US players still not allowed on those sires? play bodog, carbon Lock and if ya have too...Cake...I'm thinking its just a matter of time before those are having payment procecssing troubles...unless the big 3 can get some sorta stay. C-U CC'ers on the other feltz...please get some torneys on these sites Nick!

Thanks,

-Pool
