Actually you are very wrong about that. If that were true, why is it that there are a number of players who are consistently winning (earning) money? Your belief would be that they are just luckier... more often???

It wasn't a 'prize' like you had been referring to. This $25k was an amount earned over a number of tournaments played within a 30-day period (I believe it was close to 4,000 games played in that period... and the person doing this had an ROI of I believe ~20%)
it would be necessary to see the end of that story of the person who won the $ 25,000, if greed led him to throw it away
He's a professional online poker player. He plays with strict bankroll management as do most online pros.

You mention... what does this person choose to do now with the $25k... will they use it wisely. It is their income. I'd imagine they use part of it for their rent or mortgage.. groceries & living expenses. And some of it for their working bankroll.
