If I had a million bux, it wouldn't be in a poker account.i want million
Unless you wanted to play $10k buy ins!! Then you'd have to keep it in, or be accused of bad BR mgtIf I had a million bux, it wouldn't be in a poker account.
I can think of hundreds of better things to do with $10K than blow it on poker.Unless you wanted to play $10k buy ins!! Then you'd have to keep it in, or be accused of bad BR mgt
In this example you have a reasonable bankroll for 25NL cash games or $10 tournaments. But you cant play neither of that with just $10 sitting in the cashier. Even with $100 you would be severely limited, since after buying in for 100BB to 4 cash tables, you would have no money left to top up or rebuy, if you lose some pots. Or if you play 10 tournaments without cashing, you would already be out of funds.Another example is if you have $10 in one account but $1000 in another, are you Bankrolled differently for each site??? No, you can play whatever you are comfortable playing on either site, as you can easily top up one account from the other.
True True, I guess I was making an extreme point for the purposes of BR mgt.....In this example you have a reasonable bankroll for 25NL cash games or $10 tournaments. And while you can move money around, its not like, this is an instant process. Typically it takes at least 1-2 days to withdraw, and only then is the money available to deposit on another site. There might also be costs involved. For instance when I withdraw from PokerStars, they dont give me the same exchange range between USD and SEK, as when I deposit. So if I constantly moved funds in and out of my PokerStars account, I would be bleeding money over time.
Finally in some countries like Sweden and Germany, there are mandatory deposit limits. In Sweden its 5.000 SEK or around $470 per week with the current exchange rate. So if you are a highroller and wants to play the coming SCOOP series on PokerStars, this will not be possible, if you live in Sweden, unless you left some funds on the site from the last time, you played there.
So while I do agree, that a poker bankroll is all the money, you have available for poker, and not the balance on a certain site, in reality you do need to have a reasonable amount of money sitting on any site, where you want to play regularly. And if you want to play on many sites, if practice you will need a bigger bankroll, than if you only play on 1-2 sites, since you dont want to constantly be visiting the cashier to withdraw or deposit.

I'm not delusional, I know the limits to my ability, I don't play a lot of poker nowadays, all of the big rooms left Australia in 2017, I only have access to ACR and Everygame (intertops).the day you will win 8 million Sunday Million you will have a 1 million in poker account, although it will only be for one day, but it will be
many don't consider it 'blowing it on poker'.... instead you could think of it as an investmentI can think of hundreds of better things to do with $10K than blow it on poker.
The Sunday Million still reached it's $1 Million guarantee today and only a $109 buy-in (was originally a $215 buy-in).or even potentially Stars at the minute, they are falling so fast, who knows what could happen.
I don't see them doing that badly. There's a player who took down $11k in an $11 buyin last week &will probably be another one on there this week.

I'm just a rec player now, I don't like long tournys, I played one yesterday that lasted 8 hours, I was out around the 6 1/2 hour mark, after running in top 15 for most of the game, it reminded me why I don't like long tournys, I play most of my poker in the AM, long tournys take up my whole day and I get nothing done. I'm just glad I have a job where I can spend my days playing online poker or perusing the Lamb of the Month centerfolds in Shepherders Delight magazine.
I would like to have a lot, like 10 or 100 million. I could do withdrawals every day, that would be cool. But in general, $50 is quite enough for me for a comfortable gameThe more the better, but I like that there is more than 1 K !
Sure this is something, high stakes player need to consider, and at least diversify by not having all their funds sitting on a single site. For micro and low stakes players its not that important though. I currently have around $700 sitting on ACR and around $1.300 on PokerStars. And should either of those sites go bankrupt or decide to ban me and take my money for whatever reason, its not like, its going to significantly impact my life.I suppose it actually could be really tough for some high stakes guys to keep enough funds for even a mild downswing, but also not wanting to have a huge amount actually deposited on a site, especially as you can't really trust the unregulated sites, or even potentially Stars at the minute, they are falling so fast, who knows what could happen.
