Distraction it is not . And there is no good reason to forbid them at the tables . It's the players'' right to wear them and cover their face . If sb gives many tells to others with his face expressions , then covering his face is the only choice

Should hoodies, scarves, and sunglasses be allowed to be worn at the poker table, or do you think it's too distracting? Do you make assumptions about what type of poker player they are? Is this a good strategy for preventing tells, or is it just a huge tell by itself?

Pretty stupid in my opinion. Players should be able to meet face to face! The rest is all BS

To me it is not worth it to do all of that. That kind of stuff is for the philosophers that are worried about does he think that I think what he thinks that I think and things of that nature. Just look in his eyes and make a decision and pull the trigger or fold.

I have played a lot of live in the past and to be honest I don't have any problem with people wearing a hoodie scarf or glasses. The one thing I don't know if it really helps or not. Most players if they have a tell I find it come through either way no matter how hard they try to hide it.

No I do were a hoodie when I play and yes I have had the top covering my head many times. I have also heard comment about it at the table. So why have I done this? Well I lost lost of my hair starting when I was 16 years old and was pretty bald very quickly. When I play at Foxwoods or when the wsop was at the Rio I had the hoodie up a lot due t the A/C blowing down and I would get very cold and unconformable and not because I was trying to act all cool or as a professional. To be honest I wear a hoodie most of the year to keep warm and I like them.

I think that in a certain way some players are able to preserve themselves at the tables, but I also think that accessories alone are not enough. Even though I've never played live! But I think some outfits are cool.

For me, the appearance of my opponents is of absolutely no importance. I don't mind if everyone dresses as they please. But if, for example, there is a dress code at an important poker event, it is obvious that all participants must adhere to it.

I mean why not both?.... two things can be true at the same time, three things really since it could be a health thing,

it could be strategic, it could be silly... mainly because I don't think that hides as much as they think they're hiding,

breathing, eyes, hands, talking... you can't hide that stuff, .....people worry too much what other people are doing

anyway, ....if they think it helps go for it👍

I think that all these gimmicks.....sunglasses, hoodie, etc. are overrated as far as covering tells is concerned because an experienced opponent will still be able to read you like a book. It's best to study your game and plug your leaks....the rest is just plain silly imo.

I think it's ridiculous to wear sun glasses at a poker table.
It's supposed to hide tells but IMO it TELLS a lot about the player.
I would never do it myself but I don't mind if some other players at my table wear such equipments.
I stay focused on the game and only on it.

I think that wiring a hoody, or face cover, makes one less able to see and hear opponents, so more like distracting the wearer from picking up on emotional vibes from the other players at the table. Same with sunglasses to a lesser extent.

I think it's up to everyone. And there is no need to ban it. If Santa Claus takes part in the New Year's tournament, you won't rip off his beard... :)

I don't mind if my opponents dress as they please, but of course within reasonable limits. Sweatshirts, scarves or glasses are all perfectly normal clothes and accessories and I don't see anything wrong with people wearing these things :)

I never wear sunglasses or try to cover my face when playing poker but I don't really care if others do. I don't think there should be restrictions on what you can wear when playing but I do think some of the top pros that go to extreme lengths to cover their faces is not good for spectators watching and would prefer them not to do it, although I understand why they do that when playing the highroller mtt's.

When I was playing live I didn't used any of these but when I saw it on some other players I didn't have a problem with it. If they think it helps them hide something I'm fine with it.

Ive been playing live poker over 40 years.. I dont care if people hide especially if they have what they consider tells...For me live poker is a feel more then anything else..I talk a lot and talk to people pretty easy...Honestly best thing a player could do? Never say a word to me so I cant figure out whom they are in life or in poker....That is the tell all for me....it really dont matter at a bar at a boat at a casino im a nice guy or chap open people up pretty easy... I find my victims very easily

Hi :)
I don't pay attention to my opponents' clothes. Probably because I mostly play online. But even if I were playing live, I definitely wouldn't care about my opponents' appearance. The main thing for me is to be comfortable and comfortable. I don't mind if my opponents wear whatever they want, glasses, hats, thongs, or fur coats, it doesn't matter at all.

I'm loyal to this, if it's allowed, let them put on anything, even a bra over their heads, but it's all stupid.

i think wearing a mask at the poker table is smart for hygiene reasons( as poker players are not exactly known for their health concerns and awareness ). a hat and sunglasses should be fine too , if you want . as long as words like 'raise' , 'call' , ' allin' etc can be clearly heard i dont see what the issue is .

I think that this behavior on the part of the player does nothing.
