Poopy update!

He's going for an insane prop bet of gaining like 600k VPP's in 2 months and still show a profit!

He's played like 360k hands in like 3 weeks I think, and he's down 99 buy ins at 200nl .

He on pace for volume of hands, but gaining back 100 buy ins is just like never gonna happen. I'm amazed at his optimism though, he's so positive about achieving this!

Sorry, this guy >>>>>>>> Poopy - **Official 600k Hands FullRing in November Prop Bet** - Two Plus Two Poker Forum

This guy just has a bet he can play 600k hands this month 25nl+. No profit rules, just play the hands. Currently he's playing 100nl and after 100k hands (it was the 6th at 2:24pm when he posted it, not sure if it was after playing the 6th or not) was up a little over 2k I think. At 100nl he had 47k+ hands and was winning at 4.5 PTBB/100 (surprisingly over about the same sample at 50nl he's down a little over 3 PTBB/100 lol).

And this guy is FR, so more time to get the hands in yet less hands/hour than Pokerpoopy. Either way it's so sick lol.

Maybe because there playing for such long hours so it reduces the affect of the slow startup time. I think the longest I played was a 3hr session, so the startup cuts into the overall hands/hr I suppose.

From the 2k and 3k Milestones plus 4k fpp and 1.5k fpp bonuses along the way I should hope to ship around 17k+ alone in bonuses/winning the bet. Plus whatever I make playing along the way!! Not bad for 100nl and 50nl

Lol @ that for a for month :D
If he does it of course

It does. :D

Also, you play 12 tables without a HUD ????
I played 9 tables of full ring at 10$NL without a HUD back when I was at that level. Its not that tough, since most 10$ NL players are complete idiots.

FYP

If Jay's 1800/hour number is right, the guy's 24-tabling for an average of 12 hours/day, EVERY day for the entire month. Figure sleep ~8 hours/day and meals for like 2 hours/day and he's got another 2 left for free time. Playing that much poker just can't even be healthy lol.

Add onto that the fact that it's probably not much fun, he said he plays an 8/5 style. So just sit there at the computer 12 hours/day folding anything but premiums for only 17k in the month? Don't get me wrong it's a lot of money, but doing that would SUCK.

Wow well, I re did my calculations to go Gold by playing 10nl and its not looking good, atleast if I stay 12 tabling. I think tonight I am going to try a 16 table session and work my way to 24 by the end of the week. I had two profitable sessions 12 tabling and managed it fine so I feel fine about so many tables. Without averaging anything, I got a measly 16fpps/hr. With 2992 points till gold I need to play 187 hrs by the end of the month ...that's almost 10hrs a day...now if I do 24 tables and assume the 16 points is average then it would double to 32 points cutting it in half to 5 hours a day...I could do it but don't know If I want to just to go gold. I'd rather wait till 25nl and get there faster. But I am not giving up and will keep trying..already have 2222 hands for the day and will prolly put a 4 hour session in late tonight :)

Well it's 17k plus what he earns playing, and if it's a profit it's probably a big one with all the hands right ?

not really, he's an 8/5 nit who after the first 100k hands was winning at ~0.5 PTBB/100. Maybe a few extra grand. I guess possibility at ~25k total. Not bad, but I still don't think I'd put myself through that in one month for 25k.

I am stuck in neutral today. I've played 12 Double or Nothings and am 6 -6 - which means I am behing in rake. The suckouts are incredible and some of the calls I am getting just make me shake my head. Oh well, I guess a break even day is better than a losing one.

Yeah better to play less, enjoy yourself and still make some money :)

I had a sick day at 10nl: -2.5 BIs..
Every fish at Everest seemed to hit.. Like KK vs A5 on 562 flop and A turn :<

I will be grinding it out with my job for the 1st 6months, if I'm still on pace and haven't gouged out my eyes with a fork, then I'll take a career break for the rest of the year imo.

but if your on course by 6 months in, surely it makes more sense to just keep your job and earn extra money since you just have to maintain same pace. Youll will probably come across a dilemma of keep the job and fail to reach elite, or take a job break for 6 months and hope your calculations are right and you make it

My theory is, I need my job security, I have a family/debts, so I really need that security of my job. It will be a really tough job for 6mths grinding and working, but after that I will be way up the milestone ladder to enable me to withdraw a regular monthly income from Fpps/milestones alone to substitute my job. Then I can take it relatively easy for the next 6mths and easily make it I think :D
