Being skilled is not a temporary state. So i vote for skill but ok sometimes I would like not to be unlucky with some flips because they deprived be some good runs situations like[AK vs AQ or QQ vs TT on FT bubble] :( But ok that's poker.

Had posted a thread asking a similar question and my honest opinion as that they are equally important. You cant win at poker without both of them being present on your side :)

In my opinion, I definitely prefer to have a high percentage of skill as luck is something that comes on certain occasions at random.
As commented our friend rdwr33.
The good player maximizes his winnings in good condition (when he is lucky) and minimizes damage in bad conditions (when out of luck).
I totally agree with this comment.
A skilled player would display all of his arsenal at the gaming tables to evaluate the best play and see if he can take risks and benefit from them.

The ability and study of probabilities greatly diminish our opportunities to lose and increase the chances of winning. But poker is also a game where chance is very influential and we should not let it pass as something without interest. The two things are important but I think that the skill ends up winning him luck in the long run.

I really like your argument, I share what you say. If we talk about luck, very few times that it comes to make a difference.

the way i think about it? well luck will determine or you win or lose with the hand, skill determes how much you will lose and win with that hand.

You have to get lucky to win. Skill although keeps you from having to rely on luck as much.

Even though it is a skill game, you need good luck to complement it ;)

One thing I don't like about poker is that it is kind of hard to gauge just how skillful you are getting at it. Cause you can just get a long string of hands you played perfectly but you will lose that 99% hand on the river every damn time.

Skill is an important factor.
Luck is a decisive factor.
For a long run, skill is more important than luck.

Online, It seems like it's best to be lucky. Skill, however, is more important because as lucky as we can be sometimes, skill can be maintained for longer periods of time than luck. If I could, I would like to be the skillful player who doesn't have bad luck, but not having bad luck in itself, makes you lucky.

Luck is more important. I got beat so many times with a pair of twos even though I had a better pair, the two's hit their set. The twos don't work with me, I tried raising with the twos but I have never got the third one.
I also see people going all in with any low two cards and winning the pot.

Skill will triumph over luck any day, though both are needed to be successful.

All these factors are very important. But it is important to be a good psychologist and the ability to read the enemy and do not open it. Good luck and eating ability to hide their emotions.
Opponents could not prochytat feet.
The ability to read the enemy, and then good luck to good luck!

Truer words were never spoken: eating ability to hide the emotions is key, second only to watching opponents when they try to prochytat your feet.

I think that high skills will help you even if you have very bad cards. The main thing that you can not lose. Luck plus skill is better than luck.

Skill is the most important, but luck counts for one heck of a lotl
You cannot play the hand if you don't have it
bluffing may get you knocked out in a hurry!

If you play cash, then the skill is more important at a distance. If you play in large multi-table tournaments, which are very rare or go through once, then luck is more important, provided that you have a skill above the average.
