Hi Jeff,

I saw you on Twitch last night and seen you win that $10,300 ticket, that was incredible. You're such an inspiration to online poker players.

Congrats and good luck with it!

Jeff Hi I would like you to give me advice on how not to play outside banckrool as long as I have very high dollar tournament game and that cost me a lot to do so
I think what I hear you saying is how to play bigger games without being out of your bankroll. Some options are to sell action to friends or swap w/ friends if referring to tournaments.

Hi Jeff ,

Thanks for replying my previous question!Personally I find it more exciting to make a last second's time bank decision and be right but I have to admin that a successful bluff is the ultimate feeling but I play in small stakes so my opponents can't find very often the fold button or maybe I am not good at bluffing haha .

I have a more serious question now.

Sometimes I play some bigger buy in tournaments for my bankroll [max $33] and sometimes I register in the early stages where the blinds are super small compared to the initial stacks.People are more aggressive, they 3bet more , they flat they re-raise etc. Some players 3bet a lot , I guess they are well balanced to do that?!?!

Some days ago I was playing one of those , I couldn't play my game because there was always an aggressive player who has acted before me or a weaker one who has open limped. I was playing something ridiculous like 11/6(vpip/pfr) over 100 hands!!!! I was able to make some flats with some disguised hands but whenever I had the opportunity to open raise I was card dead. I am not a tight player I know what hands to open raise based on my position and my stack.

Is this lack of experience? Should I apply pressure with more marginal hands in position?Should I fight back?I really try not to play scared , whenever I register in one of those tournament I want to play my A game no matter the result. But in the past whenever I fought back they always have monsters and I got eliminated.

Are they so good and they know how to ''build'' early on their table image by 3betting light in the beginning and the 2nd and 3rd time they always have it?

It's a very general question and I guess a more advanced one but I struggle because I don't feel confident about my decisions.

ps. sorry for the long text :)

Hi Jeff,

First, congratulations on the initiative to help the community!

I have a question about tips and strategies for winning a heads-up tournament. What are the basic strategies to beat the villain in this matchup?

Regards!

I mean like green/red. Gonna go ahead and guess you like green. I prefer a nice honey crisp or maybe a granny apple are top two imo.

apples to oranges or like green apple / red apple?

What percentage of MTTs you enter do you think you get ITM? Also same question about top half of ITM. Like say ITM is 40 places, then the top 20.

Hi Jeff. What are some techniques that you use online to induce or stop bluffs?

I use blocker bets. This is often a small size in relation to the pot so it puts my opponent in a tough spot to just call often not be able to raise. This can be used effectively if you establish this early on in a game.

Hello Jeff,

I am looking at getting back into poker. What are your recommendations regarding how the game has adjusted, and how to rebuild/test my game/tendencies? Current research and game play.

I play tournament NLHE only.

My success has been greatest in MTTs. I had a couple big finishes on Sunday's, and have not played poker for 4 years. My hiatus was due to a business I took over.

Hello! Great to hear you are looking to get back into the beautiful game of poker. It has certainly changed a lot! I would highly recommend Raise Your Edge. I have a tab for this with info on my website: JeffGrossPoker.com/Jeffrye

Hello Jeff, who do you think is the best cash game player in the world as of today? And who in your opinion is the best tournament player in the world as of right now?
These are always tough to say; at the present moment the best way really is to look at the Hendon Mob & GPI rankings this is a good indication of who is in the best form. Online & live differ a lot but I really couldn't choose just one. Also in cash games it's hard to say but the big bet mix guys battling at Bobby's room; I would always go w/ Brian Rast, Jungleman, Trueteller as a default on cash games overall but that is also hard to say!

This is a tough question to answer. For tournaments I would say to look at the hendon mob website to see the GPI rankings as well as pocket5s website to see for online. For cash games this is very ambiguous; a safe answer is always who is playing the biggest big bet mix games in Bobby's room; Brian Rast, Jungleman, TrueTeller to name a few!

Thank you! Great to be here.

Heads up is a completely different game w/ different hand ranges. For example Q7o is called the "computer" hand which means this is the average starting hand in this format. This is much different in a full ring game where ATo 9 handed isn't that strong a hand. I would suggest to do some studying on this: I recommend RYE which has a heads up module. On my website JeffGrossPoker.com I have a Raise Your Edge tab if you would lie more info!

Hello, Jeff Gross, how often do you play by intuition, and what decision do you make when intuition advises you to lose your hand, and is it possible to play by the chances of the bank?
Intuition is in every hand really. Often times you take position, stack size, player tendencies into account as well as blockers but intuition is a must!

Jeff how to play AK?
Depends on stack depths but would be coming in for a raise or a 3bet generally. Questions I am asking are, how many players at the table, what position am I in & what position are my opponents in as well as am I looking to play all in pre or get to a flop. This will vary in most spots significantly.

Most trustworthy online poker site

I'm looking for a site where I don't worry about there being bots or people seeing other's hole cards. I play in Puerto Rico. Can't play pokerstars or 888.

Hello Jeff, I would like your opinion on online poker software aka Holdem Manager. I have starting using it but find it distracting as I don't think you see enough hands from an individual during one tournament. Is it worth running the hud or just using the software to find leaks in your game?

Hello, I'm not sure if I answered this or a question similar from someone else. I would say having some sort of tool is great to use to review your hands. I use to use pt4; partypoker stopped allowing HUDs so I don't anymore, I have info about pt4 on my website JeffGrossPoker.com/affiliation - also partypoker if you play there has "My Game" now which is a great tool to review your hands and game. I hope this helps!
