My girlfriend liked poker when we would go to the casino together to play, or when we would play with our friends and it was a social activity

I don't think she was a huge fan of online poker because it kept me locked into the digiverse and disconnected from the real world. I don't think she liked that a lot of the time when she would call me I'd say I couldn't really talk cause I was too focused on some games.

I guess it's all about balance really, within reason poker is great, I think it's the same as any job. It's just important that that job doesn't take up more of your time than is healthy.

The wife is now ok-neutral and doesn't much care as long as I keep a good poker and real life balance.

Back when we first got together she had her concerns and all the normal concerns any person interested in a long term relationship would have. Once we sat down and discussed things and I showed her years of HM and PT4 charts proving I was a long term winning player and in control of my playing/gambling she had no issues or concerns. I keep nothing and hide nothing from her. Been happily married now 10+ years without a single fight or disagreement over poker.
