That all depends on when I decide to play and how much time I let her know in advance. If I stood up after dinner and said I was going to the casino it would be a curt look and maybe a little ass kissing later on. If I say I’m going Saturday at two and I’ll see you at 10 maybe sooner, that’s no problem.

My Wife hates the mere mention of the game, but having been T.D. at my local for 6 years she had to put up with it, plus she benefited from my wins. My only surprise was she didn't take it up with me, I taught her how to play Cribbage and would constantly beat me at the game, after a short while. I also taught her Darts, and she could Whip my Butt playing that after a while.
She would have made a wonderful Poker Player, as I cannot see past her Poker face even after being married to her for over 45 Years, I never can see what she is thinking.

My wife had a bad idea of what it was before we came to be. Once she saw how it should be treated and that its something more than going to a casino or just "playing" on the computer, she came around. Explaining and showing the work that goes into it, and then seeing that translate to results helps. She still hasnt played one hand but she respects it and understands it.
