so what sort of villians are you flatting SCs like 56 - 910 against?

I usally fold/3bet 44-66 but flat 77+ tbh.

Also vanq you say your cable of flatting a bunch of hands ? What bunch? like SCs, QJs/10Js etc. obvs dont give ranges but any chance of a rough idea and reasoning why you do this?

straightforward regs i can flat something like 87s in the SB or BB against their "steal" (which is usually like 20%), cause those hands flop a lot of cool middle pair ish type hands

i can flat mid-connector types in the blinds against a steal, but also stuff like KQs, AJs, TT, J8s, then i 3bet more like K8s, A5s type stuff

it depends so much tho

edit: it really depends on table dynamics but i stopped folding as much from the blinds as i used to, because i was mixing in more HU and there's a lot more defending there, plus its funner to play flops

Do a lot of you guys play online only or are there some of you that play an equal mix of live/online? Only asking cause I play a LOT more live and the dynamic is much different. I know its harder to discuss hands due to not having solid numbers/accurate hand histories, but it would be nice to include a bit more live play discussion. Like, is it +EV to play a 3-handed $2-$5 live game with one really good player and one hyper aggro terribad player with deep pockets (plus reduced rake)?

I rekon time wise I play around the same amount live and online. Having said that I would probably log around 10 times more hands online in the same timeframe.

Yea though, you always want to play shorthanded with terrible players. Even though his lag-fish style becomes more diffucult to play against 3 handed, you still get to play more hands against him than at a full table, so go for it imo.

I play online every day and live like once a week, usualy a home game, 30$ rebuy/ 50nl.

If u want more live game discusion you are just going to have to start it.
By all means post some HA or strategy questions regarding live games and im sure u will get plenty of responses ;).

Hands/hr is obv way higher online than live, but my live hourly is better, the fish are far worse with deeper pockets, and I dont have to deal with waiting for withdrawal transactions to complete.

As for the shorthanded situation, it was one of my good friends, an illegal arms dealer (seriously, lol), and I. Each of us were about ~300 BB's deep, automatic button straddles, and the fish loved making it $50 to pf EVERY hand. Game was sick fo sho.

I'll try to post more live hands since my local game can get very interesting with the player diversity.

And am I right in thinking you play without a hud? Sorry I'm just interested cos I find following table dynamics and stuff over quite a few tables pretty imprssive tbh

Yeah plus you probably have a solid postflop game from your experience at HU and 6max etc which enables you to play more pots OOP HU.

It will end up making you a little more paranoid. ;) It does help. Post flop is a little more meaningful in PLO and even more in PLO8 IMO.

I'd advise eveyone to watch the PCA from this year, like 25 of the final 27 players are all high stakes online mtt pro's, so some of the plays are so sick, some of the most advanced plays and hands are played during the final 3 tables, really good to watch

Sweet, had my first real downswing and encounter with variance today!

At one point I was down 10 BI but ended up just a tad short of even for the day.
