I've been in both of these seats many times. Lesson learned - it's better to leave. You might want to stay and wait till luck changes, but highly likely it might not happen today.

Continuing to play in such conditions is probably not the best solution. It's best to just leave the table and take a break, but you need to be disciplined enough to do so. Emotions in such a situation can simply lead to serious losses. I would just leave the table and go for a drink :)

He has called your raises every time and beat your prime hands with any junk cards.
Sounds like the best game ever!!!

If I can play against a player where I have a stronger range pre-flop almost every hand I would print money in the long run.

I order the strongest caffeinated drinks I can get and sit and play as long as the loose player does even if it would mean days.

The only reason to leave is if I strongly suspect any cheating is going on.

I tried to fight, I tried to wait for the best opportunity, I tried to pinch to survive that table, all in vain. The most plausible idea was that I must go, if it goes wrong at another meal, it's clear to me that I need to take a break for a day or two.

I love cash games... the answer to this depends on my mood 😅, ... generally I'd watch him for a while, let others play him and see how it goes, no one is holding over anyone forever so if someone wants to play every hand it's just a matter of time, people on a roll tend to feel over confidant, this is good... for the other players, not so good for him,.... of course the question is what I should do?, but where's the fun in that lol

If a player is consistently beating you in a cash game, even if you have good hands, it's important to analyze your game and look for possible mistakes. You may be playing too many hands, making mistakes in your betting, or giving away too much information with your actions.
To improve your chances against this player, you can adjust your strategy, play more carefully, be more aggressive, or observe your opponent to try to understand his playing style.
If you're feeling frustrated, it's a good idea to take a break to clear your mind and come back with a positive attitude. Remember that poker is a marathon, not a sprint!

I've been in that situation before, I won't stop playing my game, but I will give up a marginal hand much more quickly. It's going to be the nuts or nothing with that person.

Yesterday was a typical day, in three Cash I found villains who were stealing my chips, in the last one I had to retire, with a set of A, I lost to a sequence of A to 5

I say put me in a cash game and it could be anyone at the table, I can't play cash, mind you some of you might say I can't play tournaments either.

I do take it, especially what I know about cash games, the good thing is that you can constantly reload, but is that a good thing? No in this situation even the worst cash game players like me, would get up and go to the bar, its cheaper. (y)

I rarely play cash games, but this does happen a lot in torneys. For me, its OTTNO (on to the next one) :)

In my opinion, leaving the table. Continuing to play against an aggressive and runner opponent would not be a good option! Come back another day, play a tournament. You can do better!

When online…I leave the table. I also usually stop playing for a few days.

I find that when RNG is constantly going against me, it doesn’t matter if it’s cash, or the table or the player…I end up losing.

I’ve also had things go the other way when I consistently can’t lose…runner runner for the win! Then I just sit and play as long as I can!

I will endure and wait for my hand. Not always everything flies into the same gate.

I am stubborn and I have been in such situations before. In my experience, I cannot give up the game, even if my opponent is winning all the time, and I will most likely continue playing until I either get back what I lost or lose every last cent. Although I realise that a more correct decision would be to get up and leave.

Sometimes there is another player at the table that is your nemesis (or you are theirs). I don't think there is anything to do about...they just have your number or their cards just always beat yours. Since it is a cash game, I would ask for a table change and in the meantime, try to steer clear of playing in pots with that player (or play very cautiously if I can't avoid it).

As long as I'm not letting it cause me to TILT, I am staying. I will try to play as many hands as possible vs. this player while in position. I'm not going to play less hands, I'm going to play MORE!

I'm a bit surprised by how many posters are suggesting if they'd been 'unlucky' up to this point, they just assume that the luck streak of villain is going to automatically continue. I don't believe in this at all. Each hand is independent of the other - - villain's luck on one hand has no bearing on what will happen during current & future hands. (there's no such thing as a luck streak that one can predict going into the future, only if there's been a succession of hands 'in the past' can we consider that a streak). So often I've also heard on CC when a player has been unlucky in tournaments they suggest taking some time off to let 'the luck change' OR to play some freerolls and get the bad luck streak over and done with. I don't believe in any of that. IF I'm playing good, I'll continue to play and will do so at the same stakes I normally play at. The only time I drop down a buyin (or stake level for Cash game play) is when I feel I'm not at my best... ie. tired, or tables aren't optimal (or of course if my bankroll warrants a drop in stakes)

I would definitely leave. Chasing after lost money always makes you lose more.

ahh man, this has been happening to me lately, sometimes I get angry and end up losing my patience and losing focus and end up going with him and getting eliminated, but I learned that the best thing to do is wait for a monster hand and go all-in when he raises or reraises

I’d assume he’s a super user, leave the table immediately, and never play against him again.

I would carefully wait for the right moment and the right hand to play and win him. If this doesn't work I would leave the game. I have experienced both of the situations, generally sometimes you take back sometimes you just lose and leave!

Need more information but honestly if he is playing like gus hanson? im in for the long term cause know in the end im gonna wind up owning it all....smart just to change tables etc...luck never lasts that long imo it changes almost every hour is my history so ya id wait till see luck changing then get highly aggressive...but i can be stubborn on things like this...but again i think odds change luck changes....look for other things also tells etc..i am trapping type of player by heart so ya tighten up wait for trips flopped str8s type of thing etc...maybe fold bigger pockets if he gets highly aggro that would usually see etc..
