What would you say about the 3betting on 5NL nowadays?
Most seem to advocate for a conservative play. I am a bit skeptical about that, since more and more people should be aware of the polar range for 3B by now.

3betting has definitely increased at NL5 a little bit over the years. There are several ways to counter-act this.

I would say that all of those things are important. Understanding position and using it to your advantage is a big one that many newer players struggle with.
Using aggression both preflop and after the flop is also another huge key to winning more of all those little pots where nobody really has anything good.
This is where "the rubber meets the road" to use that overused saying. Big winning players win more than their fair share of all the pots where nobody has a really strong hand (this is the case in most pots in NLHE, nobody really has anything).

Hey Jair,
We can get away with a smaller sizing on the button because we are going to be opening up our range much more, playing a lot more hands. We don't need to risk as much.
Also, even if called, we get to play the entire hand in position, which is a huge statistically proven advantage in poker.
