Interesting thread!

I'm not a cash player, so cannot give a lot of feedback but still interesting to follow. 🤓

I'm just wondering:
What's the result after about 1 week. Are you winning/loosing/break even? 🤔

opp have a PR of 21 VP 27 and fold to 3bet of 92
If villains folds that much to 3-bet it’s okay to do it with our bottom range, and these suited connectors have a good playability postflop.
However, villain also has a large percentage of fold to c-bet flop in a 3-bet pot?
M1K3O (MP) checks, marvinsytan (BU) bets $6.16, M1K3O (MP) raises to $19.01 (all-in), marvinsytan (BU) calls $12.85
I think that OTT you could’ve done your hand and give up. Unless villain is way too fishy, I don’t see any point in fighting for a baby flush. But your move would be best if you were the one jamming on this spot, not calling a jam. The math may be on your side, but this is not optimal.

Also well played, you are choosing good spots to bluff and you had tons of hands that could’ve called 3-bet flop, so overall you must be grinding NLHE 25 easily. Wish you all the best luck and good games!

Best regards;

not a cash game player myself but want to learn playing deep stack to prepare for my Sunday Million Dream

im not really result oriented guy, im more of a studying guy so I don't care if i'm a winning or not as long as cashier is saying you can buy in, i'll play with bankroll management of course

but since you've asked i'll be glad to show you

I hope I can keep it this way long term

how much more to be specific because i like your point of betting a bit bigger, to get more value if i hit and to get more bleff to get thru if I didn't hit

It’s very kind of you mate, appreciate it a lot!
Now to your question: on the turn I would have bet 70-80% of the size of the pot and on the river I would simply jam. When we do jam on the river we change the odds for villain to call, and he will think a lot before calling, even if he’s holding Tx or strong pocket pairs, except 99 and TT that would be nutted hands for this spot.

Thank you.

Good result, but I dont think it's necessary to triple off middle pairs given it has decent showdown value.

I think you played okay, the problem would be if you had raised here. On the river we could consider a folding more often than calling, for villain will have much more Qx on its range than busted Ax. Well played.

Preflop I like your 3.6x sizing, SB has a chunk of trash hands raising just to steal the blinds and we are on the top of our range here.
On the flop we have a very poor equity and I like to think like this: if we improve our equity OTT we continue betting to jam river or else, we simply give up the hand on the turn.
Of course that with your 3-bet you could be representing AJ, A9, A3, 99, JJ, but we know our hole cards and our absolute equity, though villain has no idea about it.
If there was at least another club on the flop we could think about a double barrel in several cards on the turn, but realistically, we are expecting some 4x, 5x or another Ax to be fighting for poor equity: in the first case we are bluffing a gutter and in the second case we are betting for value for a top pair with weak kicker: this is why our overall plan here is to bet flop to give up on many turns, so overall I’m not off with checking flop back and give up right away.
As played, your sizing on the flop was fine.
Turn and river simply doesn’t improve our hand, and it’s hard to be betting heavy on the river after we checked turn back: to get more folds we should’ve bet on the turn, but we couldn’t do it, or we would be overbluffing.
If SB is a strong regular and if we do double barrel turn and river, we could be representing a winning hand, but after we check turn we just a very good price for SB to call with several top pairs, two pairs, second pair that have us beat.
I assume that SB is a decent player, because it had read the board and simply called your jam on the river, thus, not turning his strong value hand into a bluff: many fishes would raise this river.
The hand was well played by both players: your flaw was not to continue barreling on the turn (or giving up) and villains flaw was to play his flopped set too passively: SB could’ve raised flop or turn but it got scared about the straights.

Conclusion:

SB being passive as it has shown, if we triple barrel jamming on the river it would be folding his set very much. I think that because the way he played the hand demonstrated that it was scared, so this is the perfect profile to shove river for bluff with our missed draws, once we have one blocker for the nut straight.

Best regards;
