This is speculative imo-answer; generally I would go also dry board against active player: B-B/F-B/F (with sizing that does not pot commit me, if not possible then only 2 streets). To protect my equity by making it easy. TPTK is different than TPGK or TPMK because in TPTP case villain can still call with TPGK.

As played, against active player I would call river. He can have set or 2 pair or air. He can have also KT,KJ,KQ (24 combos)- and making classical I have a top pair mistake =) (Sounds familiar?) We don’t know, but because we checked turn, his range is very wide. This can be seen, against too active player, also as the ultimate value line. High variance though.

Edit: I would be great to have comments to this analysis too, because very standard and repeating spot.

So I need to get rid of this fishy play fast. Have been taking off many players out of the hands cause of this. Whenever I see a scared card on the turn, I tend to raise it & scare the bugger off.

Second session

tqHZFbz.png

Ran around 5.5k+ hands today. The first session was around minus 100-200BBs.
The league game started so pausing for now. Might run more if I'm feeling good
Things are turning around. Feeling awesome!!

Some "online" chippies after a while

Haven't been grinding after the partypoker cash much & not at home tmrw as well.
But I'm in need of some money before the end of the month so it'll be some heavy grinding day after onward. Might play some 10NL hands as well.
Also I'll probably be playing the $22 title fight mini at party on Sunday with the other ticket as well. Will consider playing a smaller field than the main event cause it'd be shorter & comfortable.

Do you get bored during your grind at one point and then the mood starts improving again? That happens when one runs very long. I try to figure how I could play longer.

Motivation & focus is everything. I try to take regular intervals when I'm in need now so that I don't lose focus.
When you are in the flow & the right mindset it's not that hard. But finding it is not that easy.

Can you find the flow with too few tables? I mean do you need to be 101% occupied this to happen?

Ps. I'm running currently 19/17 350 hands - too scary - I would auto fold against myself JJ pre =D

Ok some secrets then :p
I try to do mental & motivation exercises now before I start a session.
And then try to set up a goal.

And the other thing is I'm feeling comfortable & relaxed without any distractions.
And also my gut feeling. If the gut doesn't seem prepared, I try not to play for that long or at least try to get comfortable & get in the zone.

Sometimes I keep some twitch channel open without paying much attention so that it'll take some pressure away.

At least this is what I'm trying to do right now. And has been working pretty decent for the last couple of days. If things doesn't I might try to implement new things.

When I'm running like a well oiled machine every decision & thought process doesn't seem that hard. It doesn't mean that I don't make mistakes but it's what it is.

And another thing I've noticed is that I've ran like a nit for some also. There were times where I ran 17/14 or even less. But have somehow changes it automatically to around 21/18ish without much effort. You play like a nit cause you are scared & worried too much.
So stop worrying, get relaxed & play comfortable. :D

Playing two FF tables is more than enough for me right now.

There is always bots, putting one up even by yourself is not that hard. Does it matter? Not really. Practical limitations are too hard to master to have meaningful volume. Maybe in 10 years, but before that happens counter hackers have more tools too. That example hand was quite 'human', opposite imo what bot would do.

Thx. Do you use session goals, or long term goals? Are session goals specific, like this session I don't overplay AK or more generic?

What kind of plans you have for increasing tables?

Right now I'm more focusing on being a constant winner & move to the higher stakes asap.
I have this habitual goal of winning around 4 buyins per day at 5NL. I try to achieve it. Someday's not achievable. But someday's I surpass it. Trying to make it a constant thing.

Hand wise I don't think so. I still play AK the same way as I did before but now I pick my opponent & the position.
Also I've been bluff 4betting more and using the assassino blind defence linked by Fig.
It's really effective tbh but you should pick your spots cause it can get out of hand.
Sometimes you run into shoves lol.

This is all from a very short time but hoping things would only improve for the better
No plans on increasing the table amount tbh. 2 is fine atm cause the party ff time banks are shit. They give you very little time to decide imo. If I play 3 tables or more I think it'd not be for the best.

Just had a little look around party poker 5nl 6max and the 5nl fast poker, reg infested hell hole almost as bad as Stars.
Spent less than 5mins playing the fast poker, Some reg, river shoves 100bb into my face for a 7bb pot.

I favour party than stars right now. perhaps cause I've been doing good. Time of the day matters as well

But played 10NL right now & got wrecked cause of my stupidity. Went down 2 buyins.
So down $10+for the day due to my 5NL winnings.

Ok so 10NL seems like a super reg fest. Just went 2 more buyins down.
AK>KK & another couple of beats.
but got one back up KK>JJ.
It's exciting & scary cause I'm not used to these stakes.

Yea true enough man. There just aren't enough 4's in the UTG range to be worried, and you just don't expect to be encountering range merging too much at these stakes.

The uber raise on the Turn is always suspect though and generally equals nuts. I might have given him credit for JJ or 77 with this line and maybe sometimes a Jx of clubs (pair+FD) but yea kind of a cooler on that board.

You're on party so you will probably encounter him again, any adjustment's in mind?
