I favor a tournament structure with one re-buy and an add-on. Unlimited re-buys can get a tad too crazy for my taste.

I don't like too much rebuys and add on.
I prefer a structure like most CC freerolls, No late reg, no rebuy, no add on.

if you are a good player rebuy tournaments can be very profitable. Much of pros like
rebuy tournaments because bad players loose control and are immotional and make a lot of rebuys.

I dislike them very much, but they are a necessary evil. For sites to to offer descent payouts and not loose money they have late reg to cover the cost. I only wish they had 45 min max. During the rebuy players play, well very stupid, so you may get lucky or loose it all. I do not think the free rolls should have late Reg at all.

Its just like any other type of game like turbos, hypers, SNGs, Headsup etc in that you need to know a strategy to play them. All you have to do is decide if you're going to be a one and done buyin player or going to rebuy a few times but you have to expect people to get in there and gamble and have fun in these tourns.

If you're going to be a one and done with a buyin then you might want try playing a tight game and see if you can double up and do well against folks willing to gamble and rebuy back in multiple times. You have be able to recognize the one buyin folks and the multiple rebuy folks at your table by their play, assuming they have a clue what they're doing.

Just know what you're getting yourself into before you sign up and I'm sure there's someone on this site that knows how to play these profitably and willing to share some insight in them. I like them because it gives folks a chance to get back in a tourn when folks get donked on.

I would just be careful rebuying when the blinds get really high but that depends on your style and comfort level of playing with those blinds. And a lot of the live tourns are rebuys anyway. You can avoid them but they're out there.

I don't like playing with addons and rebuys. Although it does increase the GTD.

Depending on where you end up in the tournament, if the tournament is worth it I think it's pretty cool.
There was a tournament that I did rebay and it worked out great for me.
And the addon depends on how much you have in chips, if the addon will help you I also find it very interesting.

Both one and the other helped me a lot, I don't always do it, it's only if it's going to help me.

referentw there bluff is part of poker although some don't really know how to do it

Costumo blefar quando há uma forma que não é um bluff seco e corro o risco de perder muitas fichas

I don't really like tournaments with rebuys because players play very aggressively and even wrong because they have the chance to re-enter the tournament and it gets even worse tournament with bounty and rebuys, I don't mind playing against aggressive players but when the tournament is rebuys yes

That's another money maker for the sites. I avoid them, ie, I won't rebuy. Once I'm out, I'm out.

The only time I consider add-ons, is if I'm near the money, and the pay-out will reimburse me for both entry fee, and add-on fee (which isn't too likely, unless you get somewhat further into the money).

You are accomplishing two things with rebuys.....losing more, and giving the sites more.

I like rebuys and add-ons most of the time. I think the rebuy period for most tournaments is way too long. It seems pretty hypocritical to me to ask people to wait 5 or 6 hours for a rebuy period to be over but make the blinds incredibly fast. I would prefer a limited number of rebuys and longer blind levels

I think rebuts and addon is good on small buyins and where add-ons is not more that 10x stack.

Rebuys and add-ons only delay tournaments. At the beginning of each tournament, there are players who constantly go for all the chips with any cards. It's a little unnerving.

Yea sum like em sum don't, i love em because its what makes the payout more and I love it when I knock som1 out and they rebuy so I can take more of their chips and I don't like em to last for ever but a couple hour rebuy period is good tho. Good luck and crush em :D

I think unlimited rebuys are annoying.
However, now that i have been color coding players, i can now call some of these all in players that will just rebuy if they lose.
Rebuys can also help you work on your short stack game if you join towards the very end

I usually wait until the all-in rebuy frenzy has calmed down before playing too aggressively in rebuy tourneys. Unless of course I can capitalize on a few good starting hands and increase my stack, affording to see more flops is the objective still, regardless of the players that play the more aggressive rebuy strategy early. I may still plan on buying in 3 times. But of course I hope not to.

I agree with that, and it implies their existance can help stronger players, if the rebuys and add ons go into the prize pool. So I favor them. I especially like the idea of freerolls with rebuys and add ons.
Cool idea about freerolls. I wonder what would come of it?

I think the addon can be shortened in some games because you try and try and someone makes the addon and you are all in the last line

I don’t like rebuys/add-ons. These parameters encourage those ‘all-in-anytime’ players to butcher an otherwise meaningful game. And add-ons… encourage those scared players to hang on … lol… until they can pay to chip up…. Ridiculous garbage all the way around.

So (if I follow you correctly), your problem with RBs/AOs is that they encourage some to play much too loose, and others to play much too tight.

Isn't that a good thing?
