Take it easy, buddy. They only won because the Saints kicker missed the field goal. (The Saints should really consider finding another kicker. The one they have now missed too many field goals already and it has only been 3 games).

Sure, it had nothing to do with forcing two Drew Brees interceptions, one of which in field goal range. What happened to the Saints defense forcing turnovers? Didn't happen.

Sorry but if the Saints had executed better - this game might not have been decided by a field goal.

The Falcons held the Saints to 43 rushing yards in the game.

It doesn't matter to me - I like when closet Saints fans make excuses for thier bad play.

Tell ya what - go watch the post game interview with Sean Peyton and Drew Brees. They will tell you why they lost.

The Falcons dominated the saints on both sides of the ball on the ground. The Saints couldn't run, nor could they stop the run.

Whatever you need to tell yourself to keep the stinging pain down, I understand.

WE DAT!

:congrats:

I'm not a Saints fan. I just think you are viewing this win more than it really is. Sure, a win is a win. If the Falcons dominated the Saints on both sides of the ball, why did the game go into overtime?

You may want to reread my post.

The Falcons were also +2 in the turnover battle.

It doesn't matter. The game went into overtime so everything they did in the first four quarters only got them to that point. When it came down to it, the Saints choked. They had the Falcons right where they wanted them and they blew it. Plain and simple.

I'm sure they wanted the Falcons to be winning with under 2 mins to go in the fourth quarter right?

Oh yea, and its not like they were losing when they missed the field goal.

It was tied. Then the Falcons ran the ball down their throats and scored the game winner.

The Saints still had a chance to stop us after they missed, but they couldn't stop the run.

The better team won today, and it just makes you look stupid to try to downplay the importance of this game to the Falcons.

Division road win vs the superbowl champs?

No, I'm not saying the game wasn't important. Hell, nearly every game in the NFL is important. All I'm saying is the Falcons didn't win, the Saints lost.

And once again, for saying that - you look like an idiot.

The Falcons went on the road toe to toe with the Saints.

And beat them...

It's pointless to argue with you and you're misunderstanding me in the process. Would you be feeling the same way if the Saints kicker made the field goal to win? Probably not. I understand that you're happy the Falcons won and it was a big win for them. Although they dominated the running game, they still had to kick, scratch and bite their way to win in overtime (which is what any NFL team should do). I would be very concerned about their passing defense. Granted, they were facing one of the best passing offenses in the league.

It'll be interesting to see how the season plays out. I would like to see how Atlanta does against Philadelphia. It'll be a good game and no doubt will go until the final two minutes. If Atlanta wins (they have two games before then they SHOULD win), they'll be in a good position to win the division. the rematch with the Saints should be a good game to watch as well.

The Falcons played a great game and WON.

Nothing else really matters.

I just don't like when people start taking away from the winning team's effort.

That's what you did.

The Falcons were the better team today - yes even the kicker was better today for the Falcons.

I'm not saying it was a blowout or we dominated them completely.

But we did force the first picks from Drew Brees in a year and sacked him twice.

We forced turnovers and we didn't turn the ball over.

That was the difference.

WE DAT!

It looks like the Cowboys and Eagles will be fighting for the division crown. Giants have O-line and penalty issues and Redskins somehow blew a 17 point lead against the Texans and then lost to the Rams.

I'm confident that Vick will be able to punish Romo and the cowgirls.. I can only hope that the Cowboys(and their fans) great egos will come crashing down.. Again!

Sorry I hate the cowboys almost as bad as Denver... but not quite.

Care to explain why you hate Denver? I'm guessing you hate the Cowboys because you're an Eagles fan.

Gonna be a first time ever happen this year....First time ever a team plays a actual home game in the Super Bowl.

You must not be counting the 49ers in 1985-they played Miami at Stanford- about 30 mins south of San Francisco.

I heard about that and am happy because Frank Gore and Vernon Davis are on my fantasy team;)

He had to go. He's held 14 jobs in the NFL-never been with a team more than 3 years. Shoulda told them something.
