Apparently he told the Clippers straight up, go get George or I go to the lakers. They gave away more picks than any trade in history for george.

I think the east win the championship next year, maybe even have a run. I still like the Lakers more than the Clippers on paper though, with the addition of green I think they have a better starting 5. But as I said I think the east has a opportunity to go on a run now, Philly, then Milwaukee as the top 2 over there.

If kuz continues to grow, and mcgee plays like he did last year though, LA will be hard to beat. I'd be pissed if I were ad, kawhi cost him 4 million dollars for nothing.

I am a Canadian and a Raptor fan and I am saddened to find out today that Kawhi is going to the Clippers.

Shocking what happened in the NBA. Kawhi to the Clippers is one thing but then to get PG to request a trade to the Clippers at the same is amazing. Clipper have to be favorites. They gave up their rookie from last year but kept Beverly, Shamet, Harrel. Good luck scoring against Beverly, PG, and Kawhi.

The NBA is a lot more interesting now in terms of who will win it all. So many teams have a legit shot. The Lakers ended up missing on some free agents but did end up with Danny Green and Cousins along with KCP, Mcghee, Rondo. They still have a decent team.

I'd say a "decent" team is a understatement. If boogie can be healthy and play like he did in the finals, then that could be a monster team. Him and Davis low, lbj, and green (who is a great perimeter defender) being gates to the post... only down side is rondo and Kuz defensively. They would have that one weakness on defense, which could easily be countered with great athletic, experienced, perimeter defenders like lbj and green. I'm really curious to see how they are clicking a few weeks into the season.

Lakers piecing together the best support they could get at this point in my opinion. Rondo, Danny Green, KCP, Cousins, Caruso, McGee, Daniels. Even though they missed the big jackpot on Kawhi if they add Korver and/or Iggy then they are right up there with the best odds to win in my opinion.

The Lakers need several three-point shooters around Lebron and AD.

I like Rondo overall but him and Lebron together is not that great. They both need to ball to be effective and it just clogs the lane. Caruso is a better fit with Lebron. Cook is fine as well. I hope Rondo doesn’t start. Kuzma is pretty bad at defense but his flaws should be hidden with bigs behind him. He has good size and doesn’t need to play great defense to be a positive on that end.

Best part of the offseason has been the meltdown from Laker fans. Gonna have a stockpile of popcorn ready when the season starts.

I agree with all of this. They just signed Bradley though, and he is a top 3 in the league defender at pg. Lbl, green, ad, cousins, and Bradely is pretty crazy defensively. I wonder how often those 5 would be on the court together though. Mcgee is a good defender also as a back up, and I'm assuming kuz will start, so Bradley probably wouldn't get a lot of time with the other 4. I get they want to grow kuz, and perhaps he will get better defensively, or due to the parts around him, will have around easier time, but I'd start both Bradley or rondo over him. They don't need scoring from the pg, just play set ups and defense.

Pistons taking a strong jab at Westbrook but it looks like the heat may get him

Saw this on the ticker yesterday: "Russel Westbrook open to be traded." Holy frick that has to be the most redundant statement of all time.

If Marcus Morris renegs on his verbal to the Spurs hes a real shitbird in my mind. Not even sure why that story gets floated unless he actually is leaving. I know Pops is tired of triflin ish like this.

I 100% agree with this because when teams get a verbal commitment from a piece like Morris, it completely changes how they approach free agency. They are going to go after different positions as well as maneuver themselves around the salary cap thinking that Morris is on the team, which will cause them to miss at least one quality free agent for sure.

I haven’t watched much of Bradley since the Celtics days so I’m not sure how good he is. But he’s a good type of player with Lebron because he can just spot up and defend pgs.

Exactly, same with green also. D and 3 from those 2. They got someone else like that too a few days back, but his name escapes me at the moment. 3rd their big shoot the 3 over 30 percent, kinda crazy. You'd have to think there will be so many wide open 3s for them this season. Really all they need to do is let lbj drive and dish to one of the bugs if he doesn't get the lane, or out to a spot up that's wide open because that side of the floor had to collapse to the lane.

They are expected to be good, but the more I look at the line up it looks like they have some of the best players at what they need done at each spot. The perfect complimentary players like the bulls had in the 90s.

Not free agency but a big trade with Westbrook going to Houston. It seems like such a bad fit but a big thing is that Harden and Westbrook are good friends and will have fun playing with each other. The stuff behind the scenes with Chris Paul was definitely real. CP3 wanted to play with more movement and passing while Harden wanted iso. This trade worked out for Houston. They get rid of CP3’s contract (and add Westbrooks bad contract) but start fresh going into next season. Who knows how good Houston will be but they were so close 2 years ago and seemed like they had a good chance this past season trying to go past the Warriors. Even with the LA teams being favorites, it’s still wide open for the championship.

Hard to see kwahi go,but I guess he wants to be, at home so he goes I wish the best for him. He sure would have been better to stay as a raptor as I as I liked watching him play. it is like anything sometimes money shouldn't matter just to be happy playing at home where he is from.

I'd say they aren't much different than those years. They have some good pieces... but the pieces don't fit together. They will be 3rd or 4th in the west, and go out in the first round. If they want to bank on Russ and harden, then they should he went heavy on defensive players because neither one of them are great defenders, and the other 3 on the court with them sure as hell won't see the ball too often, so Houston should have compensated by getting defenders and hope those 2 put up enough points to get wins.

Incredible news for any LeBron James fan happened recently. According to what I'm seeing everywhere, it seems like JR Smith is officially not going to the Lakers. LeBron now no longer has to worry about the possibility of PTSD from JR thinking they were winning in the finals after LeBron put 51 on the Warriors head.

J.R smith is headed to Team Henny

Team Henny the best team to be fair. The Henny is his secret to hittin them 3's but also his secret to ending up on every other Shaqtin' a fool episode. All I can keep thinking about is when he went to dap up Jason Terry on the bench mid-game and gave up a free 2 points lmfao.
