In antiquity, women were prohibited from participating in any sports practice. At the time, they were educated to become housewives, so they did not need to develop physically.
Even in the Olympic Games, which has existed since the period of Greek domination, women only won the right to participate in all Olympic modalities during the London games in 2012.
Since then, they have increasingly gained space in sports and overturned barriers and prejudices. Today, there is no more Olympic sport in which they are not present, showing, therefore, the capacity of overcoming and resistance feminine.
To remember all that women have already achieved and to encourage them to take a more positive view of all the challenges that still lie ahead.
