Well, it is a free event. They are usually not the best.

UFC 126 could possibly be the best card of the year, though, which is the next UFC event after this one.

Couldnt agree more ! :)

told you 126 would be sickkkkk!!!

also 127 has alot of well known names..and my boy rashad is back in action in march...im wondering what the latest with these mofos though.

EDIT: jus found the reason for some

Velasquez - torn rotator cuff
Carwain
Lesnar - Official coach of TUF 13
Mir
Aldo
Junior Dos Antos - Official coach of TUF 13

so looks like Dos Antos and Lesnar are gonna fight around June after TUF 13 ends...kinda gay..i thought Carwain deserved the next shot at Brock...i mean..Dos Antos should have the shot at Velasquez without having to go through Brock. Why not have Carwain fight Brock before TUF 13?? meh.. lame

^^^ all the above have been M.I.A for enough time

Yeah, I'm really disappointed about Dos Antos now having to fight another fight for a shot at the title, when he was promised that he would get his shot now.. and due to something that he couldn't control.

I really want to see a Dos Santos vs. Velesquez fight, so I hope JDS tears Lesnar a new one!

yea i just dont get why they are having another TUF season right now? do they always have 2 seasons per year?? i just think its complete bullshit to have Dos Antos fight Lesnar TO GET to Velaquez...Junior has already more than proved he deserves the shot...

im afraid lesnar is gonna lay all over Junior when they fight...and we'll see Lesnar/Velasquez 2....which dont get me wrong will be sweet...but im sooo sick of instant/semi instant rematches in the UFC...starting to make me lose interest in the sport the more and more it happens

I wanted to see the fight but with Cain on the shelf JDS isn't gonna do a Evens and wait 8 months for his shot. Sure look at Josh Grispi due to face Aldo for the title Aldo pulls out Grispi gets smashed and now he probably won't get near the title picture for a long time

Poor JDS he surely shouldnt have to do this. But maybe he wanted this fight himself?

Although i think Brock will loose to JDS hard. !: )

JDS won't turn down a fight.. and I have no doubts that JDS is capable of defeating Lesnar.. now, that's not saying that it won't be a hard fight.. it definitely will - probably the hardest fight of his career, and he could still lose it as well. But JDS is very similar to Velasquez, and if Cain can do it, so can JDS.

I've been wanting to see Cain vs. JDS for a couple of years. I always thought they would be a perfect match up, especially when they are both at the height of their careers. So, I really hope JDS pulls out the win over Lesnar.

Agreed but I think its good for JDS to face someone like Brock Lesnar, Brock Lesnar is a very good wrestler and can ground and pound the hell out of you. Cain Velasquez is a very similar fighter but much more skilled. If JDS wants to be able to beat an all around great fighter like Cain it would be a good idea to beat a grappling machine who basically has the best of Cain. So basically if JDS can't beat Brock Lesnar there's no way he can beat Cain, but in my mind I see JDS winning.

We watched the Nelson fight and he stopped every single takedown by Nelson, who is also 280 probably (they weight in at 265 but they gain the weight back the next day lol). Yes he is not as strong as Brock Lesnar but he is a very good wrestler and JDS dominated him. I see Brock trying to stand with JDS and Brock gets rocked and of course another TKO loss for Brock.

tbh i dont see brock trying to stand with JDS..would be a fatal mistake that he has already made his previous 2 fights (cain, carwin).

A lot of people underestimate Nelson (aka Tubby, lol).. but he's actually a world class grappler and bjj black belt. He even defeated Frank Mir in a grappling match a few years back. (Just read that Mir and Nelson will be fighting at UFC 130 in May, now! I'm looking forward to that fight.)

I don't see Roy winning, Mir has significantly improved his wrestling and his boxing. Mir has an advantage in the stand up aspect of the fight, and I don't see Roy dominating him on the ground.

Those who have made their picks so far for UFC Fight for the Troops 2 (Fantasy Event #2): this weekend:

Mortis
Ludo90
RossMk2
ballers101
scokyl

If you didn't make picks in our first event, you can still make your picks in future UFC fantasy events! We encourage it, even if you end up being a couple of events late. You still have a chance of winning.

Though, remember, I did extend the pick deadline to Noon (Central Time) on the day of the fights. So, deadline for this event to make your picks is Noon on Saturday, January 22. The weigh-ins are this Friday.

Roy has pretty good stand up as well...giving the size advantage of nelson i'd pick him to win it.

No doubt Roy has talent and is athletic, even if he may not look like it.. and has a win over Frank already.. but I'm gonna have to go with ballers on this one.. I'll probably be picking Frank over Roy in this fight. Both are different fighters than when they were when they battled at Grappler's Quest. I believe at this stage in their careers, Frank is a bit more ahead of Roy.

Mir via TKO or UD.
