In one afternoon, in a few minutes really, Conor McGregor knocks six fighters out of UFC 223:

Lobov vs Caseres - Lobov involved in stupidity
Chiesa vs Pettis - facial cuts to Chiesa
Borg vs Moreno - glass in Borg's eye (!)

This idiot gives Drunk Irish Assholes a bad name. :icon_puke:reddy::mad::puke::withstupi

Since this occurred in The Litigious States of America, it is probably a very good thing that Conor made $80M fighting Mayweather. I hope Borg is OK. Now I want to watch the legal fight that will result.

Conor McGregor is going down a very similar path.... (Jon Jones). It sucks to see such talented fighters get so much fame and money and then blow it away to stupid acts.

It's crazy. Pettis is trying to make weight, he weighted 155.20 pounds.

Paul Felder made weight: 155 pounds, but it seems the comission is not allowing him to fight for the title.

UFC 223 has become a disaster. And all started with Tony's injury. And if the UFC wouldn't have decided out the blue to strip Conor from his belt, things wouldn't be this crazy (trying to find a replamencent for a title fight one day before the fight). And they did that in the hopes Max would beat Khabib and become the champion at both 145 and 155 lb, like Conor before, making him a big star for them to make more money. And then have Conor fight Max in a HUGE event, generating even more money.

The last few years, especially since the UFC sold, they've become ever more unprofessional in their decision making toward championship fights and belts. 100% driven by money, little respect for the fighters.

BTW, Conor wanted to fight Frankie Edgar after Max Holloway got injured for the UFC 222, but the UFC didn't allowed him to fight because there was not enough time to generate all the money he can by going on tour promoting a fight. I'm saying this because a lot of people think McGregor didn't want to fight anymore.

Main Fight ended up being Khabib vs Iaquinta. If Khabib wins he gets the title. If Iaquinta quins he desn't because he weighted 155.20 lb.

The UFC never ceases to confuse me. Why isn't Rose vs Joanna the Main Event? How on earth is Al Iaquinta in a "Half Title" fight? They should just award the belt to Khabib. With all the cancelled fights, how is it that some lightweights get dropped along with the FightPass card? Is Cesares a LW? If so, the UFC had Iaquinta vs Felder, Lauzon vs Gruetzemacher, Dunham vs Aubin Mercier, and Khabib, Cesares and Pettis without opponents. They end up dropping Felder and matching Khabib with Iaquinta??? They've actually dropped a decent LW matchup for an unlikely - and likely not very competitive "sort of" LW title fight.

Well at least they saved Poker Orifice a few bucks!

And we might get to see Bec Rawlings get kicked in the face - that's always a good time.

What an absolute gong show this event has been. I’m with mtl the UFC should have made Rose vs Joanna the main event as soon as Max wasn’t able to continue cutting weight. I think Pettis would have been a more entertaining fight for Khabib and better for the event since he didn’t have an opponent. The UFC should have just gave Brian Ortega the fight with Khabib when he said yes, instead of see if Holloway was interested first. Ortega vs Khabib would have been a better fight than the Holloway fight with Ortega coming off an impressive victory and Holloway coming off an injury.

I just hope Khabib gets a shot at Conor, and hopefully they do it in Russia.

UFC intrgrity ?

Drug test failures, undefended belts , head scratching match-ups , immature rampages , etc etc . UFC is not much better than pro wrestling , and we know how phony that is !

But you're forgetting the dozens of fighters that pass their drug tests - even though the men have bigger breasts than the women. Now that's integrity!

Connor McGregor ruined his UFC career the other night. What's your thoughts on this?

He's an idiot & an immature punk.

I think he's afraid he'll lose to a number of guys in the division... probably hoping to get the boot so he can go out as a hothead who pretends he can beat them all.

Can't wait to see how big the lawsuits get.

Super-impressive to see Rose back up her first performance and agree with everyone above who said they should have just made that the main event. I get that Khabib v Holloway would have to have main evented, but once they changed to Khabib v Literally Anyone The Commission Would Rubber Stamp, it didn't need to be the main event any more.

I think Pettis would have been a more entertaining fight for Khabib and better for the event since he didn’t have an opponent.

The story I read from a few sources was they did try to make that fight, and Pettis turned it down because he wasn't being offered enough money.

Rose definitely proved that the first fight wasn't a fluke. Rose is going to be tough to beat. She seems really strong all around.

Al Iaquinta did way better than I thought. Did ANYONE have Khabib going 5 rounds with Al? Impressed he lasted 25 mins with Khabib. I am not sure if Tony Ferguson can beat Khabib (especially after Kevin Lee kind of rag dolled him at certain points) but I think it could be a close fight. Khabib showed that he isn't invincible last weekend. Its anybody's game, but it would definitely be nice to see Conor come back to the UFC after he gets over his legal issues!

What a fight! Rose looked amazing out there, I knew her stand up was okay but I didn’t know it was THAT good, holy cow! That being said I didn’t agree with the judges scorecards, I had it 2-2 going into round 5 and rose won it.

So did I, as well as most people. First 2 rounds to Rose, 3rd and 4th to Joanna. What's crazy is all three judges saw the fight 49-46. And one judge (whom I hope never gets to judge a fight again) the round he gave to Joanna was the 2nd! :stupid:

Al Iaquinta did way better than I thought. Did ANYONE have Khabib going 5 rounds with Al?

The match got made and was then fought so quickly I don't know if anyone really got the chance to think about it that hard - and I know it's all well and good me saying this after the fight's already happened - but yeah, I could absolutely have seen the fight going the distance. Khabib has had 10 fights in the UFC now, and 6 of them have gone the distance. His finish numbers are inflated a fair bit his earlier fights with regional scrubs. Al, on the other hand, is a tough fighter.

I'm kinda kicking myself for not looking up and betting the over on that fight now that I've said all that...
